It's official guys! No longer is it a rumor, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories has been announced for a North American release on the PS2, coming out December 2nd, 2008 at a retail price of $29.99! An official English site has been launched as well, but there is currently no content on it. Here's the official press release from Square-Enix.com:

Rumors are still floating around, but this time the focus on the elusive mobile title Kingdom Hearts Coded! According to PSX Extreme, the buzz is that the title may release on the PSP as well sometime in 2009. Here's an excerpt:

Square Enix has opened their official launch site for the Tokyo Game Show 2008 event this October. As expected, all three games will be featured like at the Square Enix Party in August. Expect trailers, demos, and an announcement for the Japanese release date of 358/2 Days!

Thanks to KH Insider community member Sylx for the update! The most recent issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) featured an article entitled 'Nomura's Heroes' that reviewed numerous games Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura is involved in, including Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Birth by Sleep!
