He's already said that, compared to others, this FM won't have that much more new content.

So it would seem that there is a barrier on the water allowing to walk on the water and fight Monstro. But there is also a timer in the corner so my guess is that you have 3 minutes to beat Monstro before the barrier disspaears and you fall in the water and lose.
