It probably wouldn't have worked out so well. Nomura could have just made the new faction up on Final Fantasy bosses such as Sephiroth, Kafka, and so on.

True, there are a lot of films that could get better treatment than the Jungle Book. I don't see anyone speaking out for a Mary Poppins world. It might work since the world is both live action and animation.

If it is real, which it likely isn't. I picture Sora as being a wolf since Mowgli's adopted family were wolves. It would be somewhat give the wolves more impact on the plot sort of.
