I'm not so fond of timed battles as well as I like to strategize and study the enemy in order to figure out a tactic. Timed battles leave very little opportunity to do that.
Yep, although my roster of "disliked" characters is very slim and I would also not willingly bash them, much less have a "hate" character. It'll take a while until he appears though, yet he's mentioned somewhat earlier in a discussion.

Took a bit longer on one hand because Word decided to troll me and on the other hand because I watched two episodes of "The Time Tunnel" as well.
It's really coming nicely together right now and much of the stuff happening in the earlier chapters will make sense then. I'll not spoil anything towards that, but there are hints spread throughout the chapters 30 and beyond.
Oh yes, that one, it's also funny that the difficulty of that battle mainly stems from the timed challenges and not really actual "power" on the enemies' side, lol.
Indeed, that's why I will try to portray him as closely to his appearances as possible, no matter how much he annoys me, *ggg*.

Makes sense and helps to better write heartwrenching scenes with beloved characters suffering. I also wonder who will be hated more in the end by the readers, the first main antagonist or the one who actually unleashed him by awakening him. Sora will be clearly VERY angry!
The laziness is less a problem than cowardice and not helping your allies is. Not to mention the only things he manages to do in KH2 is to annoy the shit out of the main cast and getting in their way.

That's good it fits in so nicely. I have the improvements added to the chapter so it's technically ready, but had not time yet for formatting issues. Instead I answered to the reviews so far and want to put up the chapter tomorrow.

I don't know, sometimes I myself try to look at the things happening from a readers perspective and if he/she would probably find the development shocking, easing the pressure somewhat by imagining the readers to be as emotionally gripped by the bad things happening as you are yourself while writing it.
As for the first main antagonist...well, without spoiling too much I think I am safe to say I created a true monster.
Oh rly? Hahaha, strangely he's one of the few characters I truly dislike, and what I've seen of his lazy and cowardly behaviour in Days so far didn't really raise my opinion, lol.
That's personal stuff though, as the author of the story I'll try to give a true objective, unbiased portrayal when the time comes. ;D

It really seems that way, as of today, the number of visitors has increased to 35 and around here there are three more reviews. That's one happy author, hehe.
I just couldn't resist it. There is so much crap happening in the story these small comedy-bits between are needed by myself too so I can gather more energy to write the harsh stuff.

About the "kill" I haven't yet thought much, but letting them suffer is really something that has to be written slowly and with beloved characters, it can really make your hand shake. The stuff in chapter 44/45 was already very heavy and I needed a cooldown time after that, it's going to get even one level higher when the main antagonist and his partner finally get really on the loose, with Riku and Roxas parallel having some animosity between them because of what happened in Deep Dive and Riku wording one of his requests wrong. As well as Sora himself unable to help because of the main antagonist's doing.
That would be a possible solution I guess, but that's close to impossible with a sensitive guy like me who also can imagine every scene live in his head and listens to appropriate KH music when writing.
Well, I do try to give as much characters justice as possible, that's why I also i.e. included Selphie, Wakka and Tdus in chapters 15 and 16. So she won't be an exception, even Pete and the original person of Demyx will have their appearances, despite those being characters that annoy me somewhat.

Chapter's 44 and 45 are probably the most cruel ones I wrote so far in terms of content and a warning for what is about to come, it's not easy to write characters you like suffering.
In 46/47 we will get then insight on why all that crap happens. Heh, it's ok, she also won't be that much of a spotlight-hogger like she was in Days. She's a major character, yes, and the first to encounter the main antagonist of the first arc, but I will try to balance her time in focus out with the other characters.
