I found Roxas to be a better character because you know his whole life, which is sadly only 1 year, however with Sora, you know from the islands when you make the raft, omit the few flashbacks.

All of the other bosses require a matter of seconds to beat (except Ruler of the Sky), so when people get to this boss and run in to attack it like they have with all the previous bosses, they are surprised to actually die, and believe it to be difficult.

I'm guessing it's because she's dying, or whatever happens to nobodies, or in this case, puppets, so the memories went back to Roxas, but he still sees her that way as he has the rest of the game.
