Yes there was But the PS2 version got more in depth into the story than the original. The first time anyone got to play besides Sora for a whole other side story then like in kh2 just for the last battle. Re:cod was the first time Riku was playable to wee he is the main character.

I think the summon most useful for me has to be Bambi Just because my strategy was based around using MP for cure more summons and special attacks.

Well my Brother had the First game I found it fun I was about 5 or 6 at the time I Lost it soon after but then at 7 I got a ps2 and Bought the New Kingdom Hearts 2 thinking it was one and grew to the the series more then it became a part of my life and I would get every game that would come out...
