358/2 Delay- Could it mean...?

i mentioned that a long time ago, i hope days and BBS are simultaneous releases

They could be simultaneous releases since one game give a lot of info about the other and vice versa. Too bad I don't have a PSP or a DS D':

I think he meant more as in "both games will have their Japanese and English versions released in the same time, each game at a separate date" and not "BBS and Days are being released together".

Eh. I was well aware of S-E making that claim, though, still, I doubt that actually guarantees a simultaneous release. Lest we forget that Coded went without one.

Forget not, Grasshopper, that the DS and PSP are in existence just about anywhere else in the world, while the phone Coded runs on is not.

*smiles* The phone Coded runs on is obviously not the same as its English counterpart.
Not like it matters, just because S-E says they want to make simultaneous releases more common doesn't mean they will. There's been a lot of releases since they made that statement, how many of them were actually simultaneous?

I think there's a problem to really release things simultaneously when they were already in development and production when that decision was handed down. Kind of impossible to make such decisions into reality instantly.
For an example though, Chrono Trigger for the DS. Japanese version was released like a week maybe before the NA version, and even the Japanese version has an English text mode, so it changes based on your DS's language properties.
So it's not like they never lived up to it before; it just takes time.
Time seems to be possibly "starting now".

lol. I don't see the point of them delaying the Japanese release just to aim for a simultaneous release. Why don't they just work on localizing it now instead of waiting for the time of the delay? If they were to start localizing a bit earlier, they probably could have done the simultaneous release for February.

Seeing how we can't be certain the delay is only for the localization, we can't say that. It does give them a bit more space to work with as far as localizing goes, and thus - raises the chance of a simultaneous release.

Well, I got one of the first DSs that came out for free (I won it in a contest) and did not buy the DSlite because it was simply smaller- there were no other advantages to it. So everyone that did buy one is being screwed by the DSi.

I hope this game and the DSi do come out at the same time, that way I can get them both!

DSi isn't coming out until at least after April 09.

Apparently in the newest trailer for the game, it said the game was coming out in Spring of 09, when it was stated earlier to be releasing in Febuary.

Could this delay mean a simultaneous release or perhaps something at least relatively close (like a month or two between)?

There is already a site (even though its just a splash page) for the English release.

And with the DSi coming to the states in '09, this would be a perfect release title to accompany the revamped system.

i thought they were delaying days so they could add maybe a secret trailer for Kh3. but im starting to doubt that.

I doubt that they would have anything that would show any Kingdom Hearts 3 footage including secret endings at this time. Also there is still 3 months till February it doesn't take more than # months to make a 2-4 min. concept video.

Do you have any idea how long it takes to make something that detailed. 3 months would sound about right for a secret ending of FM+'s magnitude.

They would have someone else working on it at the same time as the rest of the game was being made - regardless of how long it would take to make said movie.

They wouldnt delay anything just to insert such a movie, because they work on them at the same time as the rest of the game is being worked on, it isn't like they go one thing -> one thing -> one thing. They work on all three at the same time, with different people working on each thing.

Right, just stating that what Insomniac said was false. :3

The only logical reason for delay is to put the finishing polish on the game. I dont think its anything more than that.
