{*~[___]Prologue ~ Part Three[___]~*}
"I'm sorry! I'm so, so sorry...."
"I must be a real oddity, then ... because I can love."
"Who is ... Akxze?"
"Your face it haunts ... my once-pleasant dreams."
//Dawning Darkness\\
Feeling the darkness that had been consuming my very being subside, I dared to open my eyes, and realized I was on yet another platform, but, as before, it held the same image. My eye twitched in utter annoyance of this place as I climbed to me feet, idly brushing my black capris off---
Hold the phone....
I wasn't wearing this before.... Wasn't I wearing camo? For camo owns you lamers.
Instead, I bore a tanktop with a small ebony heart near the top right corner, the backround crimson red. Over the tank was a zippered, short-sleeved, black hoodie with red outlining and stitches. A black plastic chocker, made of intertwining designs of all sorts, rested on my neck, a small red heart in its center. My dark, red-highlighted, semi-curly hair was in a mid-height ponytail, and my bangs fell over my face, neatly framing it and not bothering my line of vision. Black denim capris with blood red stitches, and a crimson sash wrapped around my waist, hanging sideways off my hips. All-black, high-top Converse with blood red laces covered my feet and ankles, and I suddenly half-wondered why I was all...
Heartless-esque.
Pulling the single black batting glove farther onto my right hand, my eyes abruptly came across an elegant, pure white door. Turning so I was fully facing it, I tilted my to the side in confusion before slowly approaching it, ever-cautious. Reaching out my gloved hand to caress the door, I nearly tripped over my own feet when my hand went straight through. Without my call, the cobalt staff was suddenly back in my grasp. Lifting it up to eye level, I ran both my hands over it, for what reason, I still don't know.
Whatever I had done had apparently activated some... thing. The staff morphed into something different, something more... Dark. The handle was in the shape of an upside-down, crimson heart, and from that dangled a miniscule Heartless insignia: the Keychain. The shaft was pitch black, and metallic, blood red swirls circled it, all the way to the reversed, heart-shaped blade itself. Sharp, crimson edges were about the ends of the blade, clashing with the ebony heart. I reached a hand out to test the sharp, jagged teeth, immediately reeling my hand back with an unheard yelp when I felt its sharpness.
...I love this dream. So much.
On instict, I lifted my newly-forged weapon up towards the sky, facing the pearl white opening. An ebony beam of ... flame ... shot out from ... the darkness, and the door became solid, promptly creaking open. I cautiously stepped through until blinding light enveloped my form. When I opened my eyes again, bright sunlight shined in my eyes, and I brought up my arm to shield them. Daring to open my chocolate orbs once more, I saw the blade from before was gone. Blinking in confusion, I turned slowly, spying three of my close friends lingering near my---
School's courtyard...?
But ... wasn't I just ... on the....
Aw, screw it, best not to hurt myself.
Hold on. You can't close the door just yet. First, tell me more about yourself.
...But... I just OPENED a door....
What do you WANT from me?!
Right ... of COURSE you opened it. Keep on believin' that if it makes you feel better.
DIE!
Sighing in aggravation, I suddenly plastered on a grin to hide my obvious exasperation before approaching a girl with dark skin, onyx-colored hair, and ebony eyes. Well, they were dark brown, too, but they had always looked rather obsidian to me.
"Hi, Sabrina!" I greeted happily, effectively hiding my annoyance at the games that voice was playing with me.
"Hey, Megan. What's the most important thing to you?" She quired suddenly, and rather randomly if you ask me.
My eyes glazed over somewhat, and I lowered my eyes to the concrete ground, "Love...."
"Oh," She answered quietly in understanding.
I nodded slightly, then feigned happiness with another smile, trotting over to another of my friends, Kyle. Her dark, dark brown hair was in a low, messy ponytail. She also had dark skin, - but not as dark as Sabrina's - and chestnut eyes regarded me joyfully.
"Hi, Megan. So, uh, what do you want outta life?" She asked me, again seeming very random.
I cast my eyes down once more as they glazed over, gaining that familar 'love sick' sheen, "To be loved...."
"Huh," Kyle responded simply, not bothering to investigate further.
Again smiling and not really meaning it, I rushed away from Kyle and over to the last of my three friends, Rachael. I felt somewhat relieved at being forced to look UP at her. Even if she was only about a head taller than me, it was still a nice change. Short caramel hair put up in a minuscule ponytail, and narrow, hazel eyes from behind black-rimmed glasses greeted me.
I waved half-heartedly, and she abruptly asked,"What are you most afraid of?"
My eye twitched,"Being alone," I managed through tightly clenched teeth.
"You sounded emo just then."
Thanks so much.
"And spiders...." I added quietly, trying to redeem myself, but I doubt Rachael heard me.
Love is the most valuable possession to you.
You WANT to be loved.
And you're afraid of being lonely. And spiders. But I know that one.
... You have some issues, don't you?
I wrinkled my nose in some form of angered confusion. Intuition told me that voice wasn't meant to say things that held emotion. Especially sarcasm. The voice seemed to cough awkwardly as my vision was swamped by the familar, lusterless black.
Your journey begins at twilight. As long as you stay immersed in the coming darkness, your journey will be a pleasant one.
...Being in the dark will help me?
The day you will close the door is both far off and very near.
Make up yer damn mind.
The voice seemed to laugh at my angry expression.
If you look hard enough, you'll find me.
Huh? But ... I don't even know you....
'Who are you?'

Muffin Soldiers can guess who the Disembodied Voice is. Not that I'll tell you if you're right. >:3 I think I made him too mean to tell, though. xDD I MADE MY OWN OC OUT OF CHARACTER. I find that funny. xDD
