I have been having some real trouble lately.

The Bible (King James Version) says:

Romans 12:2(a)
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,

So thing of the world are not things of God (this is a given). But if I engage in doing them does that mean I am being worldly? I don't think so because I am not Conforming. Especaially because I hold true to what I beleive and I pray and read and confess the word everyday, as well as listen to and sing Christian songs. If I am still doing that and not placing the other things above God am I conformed to the world? By the way the things I am referring to are things like playing video games, watching movies, and listening to secular music.

The Bible aslo says:
Phil 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things

The other thing that I believe as this verse comes into mind is that If I am careful abotu what I am playing or watcinng or listening to than it should not be a problem if those things have any lineup with any adjective listed of this above verse.

I am looking for a strong Christians view on this.

Basically, they're just telling you to be aware that there's more to life than what you see, a spiritual level of existence. For example, you can't see love itself, can you? It's there, though. That's what the passages are saying, "the best things in life aren't things," essentially.

Quoted for absolute Truth.

Also, it's telling you to be clean of heart.

The Bible says to be in this world not of this world. That is meaning yes you can do things here like get a job, play games, etc. Just don't have the reason for what you do be for yourself, but for God. That is why He was meaning when He said that. Remember our purpose for being on this earth, as a Christian, is to further God's kingdom, not personal gain. That is what God provides for us.

Just don't let the things of this world become your idol.
You have a very short time on this earth.
After you die, you will spend eternity in heaven or in hell.
If you trust in Jesus with all your heart and ask Him to forgive you you will be saved.
Look up John 3:16

I AM.

What I was just saying is tha tif I am still Christian, read my Bible, pray, etc.
If I do something that is provided of the world does that make me worldly or rather "conformed to this world?"

You can feel free to offer your perspective on this but I am resolved. sort of.

Well, you do have to keep in mind that there is absolutely no wrong in treasuring and enjoying the things in this world which God has created for us.
The whole idea behind this readings is just to help you understand that we all need a balance in our lives in which our supreme creator and ultimate deity is placed on top of all worldly possessions so that they will not come to interfere in our lives when the moment comes to supply for the rightful adoration that God deserves.

Now it goes without saying that the corrupt and twisted ways of entertainment brought upon us by mortal minds are nothing more that trash which can easily be ignored. Or disregarded as you are doing...
So yeah keep just it up^

yes but does that mean that I am not supposed to do worldly things at all? or just not to place them before God and walking in the spirit?

It means do not let the things of this world take ownership of you. Don't let things come before God, don't conform to this world. You're either for the world, or for God, they're exact opposites. It's saying to not let the things of this world, lying, cheating, money, wealth, lust, etc. become your "god", is basically what it means.

By the way the things I am referring to are things like playing video games, watching movies, and listening to secular music.

The way I've always been told is, if it doesn't stumble you in your walk with the Lord, and doesn't come between you and God, then it's okay. Video games, watching movies, etc., if they don't effect or stumble you, there's nothing wrong with it, as long as you keep your mind and intentions pure. Money is of the world. Is there anything wrong with money? Nope. It's just when people get GREEDY is where the problem lies. Money comes and goes. It's of this world. Don't conform and let "money" become your idol.

However, if it stumbles your brethren, simply don't do it.
Reminds me of the story in the Bible about eating meat offered to idols. It's still meat, good meat, so why waste it? There's nothing wrong with eating it. However, if your fellow brethren has a problem with eating meat offered to idols, it would probably be a good idea to not stumble him, and be an example, and not eat the meat with him. Understand?

This is at least my understanding of it all xD
