I mean, my PSP is almost brand new. It has barely been used, so I don't think it is my console. It's not like I have to wait 5 minutes, but 15 seconds feels like an hour when you play video games.
The same goes when entering a world, getting the start menu up, between scenes, traveling from one room to the next...

15 seconds for style changes??? Damn, mine is pretty much instant, like just less than 2 seconds....I'd hate to see your load time for cutscenes and junk. Did you do the full data install?

Thats what I was thinking too. Did you data install the hightest option? that usually helps.

Hmmmmm...in reply to all the latest comments about load times, the only times for mine that take long is D-link loading and some other battle loading/moves, etc. I did do the highest Data Install but for some reason it still takes long. HOWEVER, my cutscenes, transitions, and all don't take long at all.

So I finally got around to starting Aqua's story. I think she is scraping the bottom of the story barrel. Thus far, her worlds are just, ugh. Great example is the Dwarf Woodlands. Uh, what happened to the Queen? We only see her giving the apple to Snow White and she just disappears. No one says anything. Nothing is implied. I just go to her room and suddenly the Mirror tries to kill me for no reason whatsoever. Only when I go and read the Queen's bio that it actually tells me what happened. Good storytelling is not done this way :\. You don't leave off and write the ending in another section of the game.

Then you have Lady Tremaine up and dying and then Maleficent doesn't die when she is given her movie death. It just seems the team got lazy as hell when Aqua's storyline was being made.

I was thinking the same shit about the Queen, junk had me scratchin my head for real.....gameplay-wise, Aqua's my second favorite after Ven, but her story is my least favorite so far. =/

You do realize that if Maleficent had died when she was "supposed to" we'd be missing 75% of the plot in Kingdom Hearts.

Overall I love BBS, it was well worth wait. Each of the stories are very well told, although I was a bit like "WTF?!" before I did the Final Episode, because each campaign seemed to just... stop. XD

Most of the questions raised were answered, although of course BBS itself raises some of it's own. I only have two real complaints about this game...

1. The lock-on system seems a bit broken at times. There have been many occasions when I have a load of Unverse in front of me but the lock-on decides that a crate on the other side of the room is more important.

2. As much as I like the story, each campaign is just much too short. With the bare minimum of grinding and very little messing around, I completed each campaign in about 12 hours.

I agree with you on the Queen but not the other two. What's wrong with lady Tremaine dying? I loved that part, it felt awesome! What was so "lazy" about it? And Maleficent... of course she doesn't die. If she died, it would create a major plothole as to why she's alive in KH1.

I loved it. Yesterday I finally unlocked the Secret Ending, after a little struggle with my Critical Mode run xD. It was really touching and makes me scream for the next major installment of KH... I wonder how long we'll have to wait for that >.<. And I'm proud of my current 94% @ Trinity Report <3.

I'm almost done with Terra now. I'm at the final boss, but I have to say, Terra's story seemed a lot harder than Ven's. I literally had no problem with Ven at all, with Terra I usually died the first time around on a boss and then won the next, but Zack and Eraqus, oh boy. Zack took me around 6 or 7 tries and Eraqus took me at least 15. Did anyone else have the same experience?

@Vanitas97. Shotlocks can be gotten a few ways, but mainly you just have a random chance to create one when you meld certain commands. Not very helpful... but that's life sometimes

I haven't logged on here in over a year, I'm surprised my account is still here.

Anyway, my first impressions? I wish Cloud and Leon had gotten in and that the camera worked better, but those are the only two flaws of this incredible game.

I am currently running through my first campaign as Aqua and I've clocked in about 12 hours. So far I have been enjoying the game. Right off the bat I think it is just amazing how much they crammed onto the UMD and it looks just about on par with the console games. If you haven't already heard, be sure to install the game data other wise the load times will put you to sleep. The new combat system is much improved and definitely requires you to actually think about which buttons you are pressing.

With that said, the game is a lot harder than KH2 and even the original KH. Not because the combat system is harder to master, but because the Unversed can take so much damage. Right now I am running through Neverland trying to level up more before I face Vanitas again because he kicked my ass, hard. The bastard can take hits like crazy and doesn't react to them. That's one thing that pisses me off, enemies that don't react hurt or off guard when I deliver a keyblade to their skull and they still stab me or whatever.

Yet there are some boss fights that are a complete joke. When I saw

Hades call for the ice titan and the command said to defeat both I almost pissed myself. But then I realized Hades doesn't attack unless you attack him and the ice titan has no aim and you can jump like 50 feet to nail him in the head.

It took a lot of the excitement out of the battle when I realized that they were only a fraction of the bad asses they are in KH1.

Other than that the cut scenes still seem very cheesy to me as everyone moves like a robot and talks just the same. Aqua in particular has no emotion in her voice and when she speaks with other people who actually did emote sounds like she's sleep talking.

Other than that I feel like it was money well spent to get the game and the used PSP to play it.

Anyways, I beat the whole game finally, and watched "Blank Points"......Why the fcuk hasn't Aqua aged in 10 years?!?! =/

Besides that, I've gotta say, this has got to be one of the most beautifully constructed stories of all time in a game. Aside from a few mistakes here and there, I feel like Nomura's known where he wanted to go with the series since Chain of Memories, or even before then.

Been playing the game on Proud, haven't had any real problems yet. Zack's dark omnislash or whatever did kill me quite a few times but I just had to use Payback whenever I could. The command board isn't as fun as Nomura likes to think it is though. I use it every now and then to get an extra command, but I'd much rather just meld commands and level them up in battle. Speaking of battle, this is definitely one of the best battle systems in RPG history. Never before have I actually had so much actual fun playing an RPG.
