despite the stupid reputation it has, it's not a particularly bad site. it has a few chuckles and interesting stuff here and there. just... uhh... don't put the site on a pedestal and base your sense of humor and/or life around it, or else you'll end up a less than mediocre person.

But yeah, I once had to explain 4chan to my father, and what people have said is the basics. 4chan is a website that epitomizes a lot of the aspects of the internet; people with keyboards and a lot of opinions. There are good and bad things about it, and you kind of have to make your own opinions about it. Just, whatever you do, don't tell them to people there, else you might not hear the end of it.
