I'm on Episode 12 and it has been pretty fucking dumb so far.

Finished it, really mediocre imo. Definitely not as strong writing as the first three seasons and the way the episodes was ordered were shitty. Half the characters (which is what makes the show) were missing in almost every episode and the "point" was never gotten to.

I just finished and all I can say is that, if the series gets a fifth season then I really hope it returns to the original format that the first three seasons had. What they tried to do with this season was jarring and did nothing other than detract from the chemistry of having all of the actors/characters interacting with each other.

It felt more like a jumbled mess of explanation about what the characters had been up to for the past 5 years than it did an actual season.

i always found the show to be more clever than funny, tbh, but i think the show lost a bit of its cleverness by the third so season so i've never even finished that one ha

That seems to be typical AD fashion though?

I have only seen a couple episodes of this season, but it resonates with me. I'm marathoning the first three seasons too, since it's been so long.

Pretty much the only story line I really enjoyed was Gob's.
