PSP Fanboy.com reports that the upcoming Final Fantasy Dissidia for PSP will offer players the option of Data Install - Data Install is meant to speed up loading times. By using Data Install versus loading the game off of the UMD Disc. I'm wondering if this will also come to Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep

PSP Fanboy.com: PSP is increasingly resembling its big brother, PS3. Dissidia, PSP's upcoming Final Fantasy-themed fighter from Square Enix, will feature "Data Install," an optional feature that will allow players to shorten load times by installing some key information onto the Memory Stick. Reading data off the flash drive is much faster than the UMD, and for those that can afford to sacrifice some space, this feature will be helpful. (Another game to take advantage of this feature: Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G)

Players can choose three different installs, to take as little as 245MB to as much as 528MB of data. Of course, for the shortlest load times possible, players in Japan will undoubtedly want to buy the game off the PlayStation Store and have the entire game on their Memory Stick.

Link: Dissidia will also feature Data Install - PSP Fanboy

Well it's being done for Coded IIRC, who knows the same could happen for BBS but I don't have high hopes.

Well, it certainly is a lot like the PS3. From the looks of it, it seems that you will be able to download Dissidia off the Playstation Store. Meaning, not having to go to an actual store, lol.

But I rather buy it at a store, better to have an actual UMD of the game than data that could be corrupted if you do something wrong.

Data-install sounds good, but really it only shaves of about 2-3 seconds you know.

If you've bought something online, you can download it again for free as much as you want.

Hm Its a possibility, but its used only in versus right? If thats the cae then the game wiill pretty much doing the same thing meanking that it wont have to load all that much. But for a game with an actual Story it could be difficult to pull off.

Not really, it would mean less black screen time when you're moving from area A to B (or to a menu, is it me or did Jiminy's Journal take a crapload of time to load in KH2?)

You are entirely missing my point.
