Birth by Sleep?

Sooo... why is the game called that? I have my ideas of course, but I'm interested in what YOU think.

I also find it odd that "Birth by Sleep" was only mentioned in the secret ending called "Blank Points", which had "Reconnect" at the end of it.

I'm having a title crisis.

"Birth By Sleep" supposedly means "new beginning"...and that's practically what this game is. I read a deeper interpretation of it, yet I have little memory of the details. But that is the gist of the title.

"Birth By Sleep" is often used in the KH universe, which I always thought referred to those moments were Sora or Roxas would start off the game and "wake up" in their world with a new found power. I believed that Birth By Sleep would explain those moments because of it's title. (which it does)

Nomura: In that scene the ones who are calling for “Sora” are the ones who have already disappeared from the world. But in the world of KH there is no concept of death, that for example they are just sleeping within Sora’s heart. If you can just wake them up, they’ll be able to return to the world, they would be “born from sleep”. That there would be a possibility of this, is what Ansem the Wise is saying. Even Aqua, who isn’t in the realm of light, would be born from sleep.

2. Nomura wanted it to be shortened BBS - Bulletin board system - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - because it's about connections
3. Nomura also wanted sleep in the title
