Queen Lunalia the Forgiving

Those words...the words every woman wants to hear. The words every man risks it all to speak. The words meant for those in love.

Those words...such simple words to speak, yet the strength required to back them up with all your heart tends to be greater than most men have in them.

Those words...equate to bliss once they fall upon the ears of a woman, yet the courage to follow your heart tends to get lost in most women's insecurities.

Those words...Lunalia replayed the words spoken from Marko over and over again. Poetry, singing, melodies. No other type of sound had ever been as beautiful to hear as those words, and none shall ever compare in the future to come. Yes, a future that was now destined to be shared between these two Olvidado. For all of eternity, Lunalia had been living her life for the sake of the High King. Fighting for him. Hurting for him. Smiling for him. Her heart had always belonged to him, that was no doubt. She had always pondered over his feelings for her, the fear of not being loved in return the way she loved him preventing her from being openly honest.

Now, the mystery had disappeared. Marko truly loved her, and now all of those dreams she had didn't compare to this moment. This realization that what she wanted most in life, was kneeling on the ground right in front of her, asking for her hand in marriage. The sheer amount of joy coursing through her very being was too much. No thought could be processed, and no words could be spoken. She just...wanted to stand there, frozen in time. To allow this happiness to fill her heart forever, never to be disturbed. However, she knew time must go on, for there was still much to do for these two. Besides, this may be the happiest she's ever felt, but every second onward by his side would only get better.

It finally became too much for Lunalia, her legs giving out as she fell to her knees. The white dress would be covered in dirt, but that didn't matter. Nothing mattered, other than him. The two were now at eye level, her gaze locked onto his blank face. She continued to gaze at him, mind all aflutter trying to grasp the situation. After what felt like eternity, the Queen finally managed to gather her thoughts, her entire focus locked onto Marko.

A smile stretched across her face. Not the usual one of compassion, but one of the utmost joy. Her cheeks turned red, and for a moment, Lunalia was forced to avert her gaze, a side of her only Marko could reveal. Despite having calmed down a bit, words still escaped her. No words could match his words, so she dared not even attempt. Still having the hands held together, Lunalia repositioned them to interlock at the fingers, entwining their hands together as she shuffled her knees to move in closer to him. She moved in closer, and closer, until they were less than a foot apart. Lunalia moved her face in, resting her head against his, forehead to forehead.

She could feel the warmth of his body with hers, all of her tension melting away thanks to his heat. Her smile grew larger, perfect white teeth showing as it became ever impossible to contain her happiness. Tears of joy escaped her eyes, running down her pale cheeks. As the tears washed over her unwavering smile, Lunalia let out a light laugh, her voice returning to her. Her glowing, orange eyes reflected her joy back at Marko, for right now, Lunalia was the happiest being in existence.

Close in both body, mind, and heart, Lunalia did not need to speak to answer Marko. Her thoughts were his, as they've always been. She moved her face in closer, their lips now inches from each other, their warm breath mixing in the air. With all of her will, she relayed her feelings in her mind, so that only Marko may hear.

"My Love, you need not have asked. I am yours, now, and forever."

Bliss.

Something that had once been the idealism of his existence was bliss. It was the bliss of viewing the world and looking to guide and love the humans whom always wanted to destroy themselves. To destroy and cause mayhem at every turn when all they needed to do was share just a small force of love and let that love spread unto the nations. It hadn't happened the way that Lord K. had said it would and after such a long time doing nothing but try and help a species that were foolish and ignorant got tedious.

Why should Marko and his kind have been made for such a purpose of protection when their superior bodies and powers were going to waste?? If bliss was simply the act of wasting away over a group of low life trash that wanted everything handed to them, then bliss was corruption and Marko wanted nothing to do with it. Rather than go back to all the things that happened in the past, Marko would much rather look to what was very near in the future and also in his immediate future.

And that was Lunalia and the visit to the Soul Society.

Her head touching his was a joyous thing, to feel the bond between somebody you had loved for such a long time and when that somebody was just about the only thing you had ever been able to love there was a part of the High King that let all of his hatred and anguish on the world that had been the reason for all of his and Lunalia's troubles and worse off, all of the other kings too. For the time being happiness was what fueled Marko even though there were tears streaming down his love's face.

As their hands and fingers had been interlocked, the message from his new wife was very clear. "Yes my love, I'll protect you forever as my queen. Don't cry my love," one of Marko's hands moved up to wipe away the wetness on Lunalia's face. "Now then, we are the true superior race and as of now, there is a change of plans that I'm sure none of you will mind much at all. We are Essentia and forgotten no longer. The Essence of the world will now take the Soul Society's Seireitei .”

A light from within the gate that had been opened by the second king shown outside to the other kings but Marko still didn’t enter it. Love was such a powerful force that Marko had lost grip on his own senses, and not even been able to jeep the Head Captain Syra captive after capturing him. “I’ll admit those inferior slugs just got the drop on us in this instant but we have something that they do not…now follow your High King unto the gates of Seireitei and watch our greatness…”

25 minutes later…

The king had all gone through the gate in silence, not because they hadn’t wished to speak with one another but for a single reason. And that was power itself. The king’s combined strength had been too great to sustain inside a single traveling line which had caused only the essence that the King’s were made of to transfer properly into Soul Society and the king’s minds were restored upon exiting. The Black Ridge gate lay ahead and from obvious knowledge of Seireitei’s defenses, Marko knew that the stone before them was terribly powerful in its ability to naturally negate the forces of spiritual energy.

However something that Marko had would change all of that for the better. “See my superior brethren?? Smoke began to rapidly blow in a smoky pattern from Marko’s back as he stood and floated up into the sky by the gate. As he shot out a burst of reiatsu , a sheen of the barrier that surrounded seireitei revealed the power of the sekkiseki. “Ha, that wont work against us and our superior powers at all, watch my queen…”

More smoke poured from around Marko as he extended out both arms and guided the smoke outward toward the gate itself, this in fact was a mixture of two forces, the first being that of the nulla jewel and the second being power that was maintained inside of Marko as Lord Kurosaki’s cape. “This cape holds the power of our creator, the man that was foolish enough to leave our will our own allow us to help the petty humans.” Without doing much else than turning further toward the other kings near the wall, it was made clear that the spiritual barrier had dissipated in a spot before them, the cape had caused an acidic tear to form and eat away at a large portion of the invisible barrier where the nulla jewels had reduced the properties within the sekkiseki stone.

“Let us begin taking back what should be ours…”

Immediately, the hatred that Marko held within was visible as a black radiation that flowed from the back of his bald head and the cape that now fluttered behin his person, leaving a gaping washed out hole for them all to climb through. "This is the day I have long awaited, to enter Seireitei without being stopped and cause those inside who have controlled everything to lose all control they have other the world and its ordeals. By now Los Angels, Moscow, Cairo, and Rome are overrun by Hollows, which will make this an even easier time for us."

Marko sighed as his eyes scanned a place that he remembered from many years before, full of life and full of just as much hate that he held within. Now none of that really mattered as the day had come where all whom had previously held glory and precedence over others and been intent on guiding and controlling things they were never meant to would be put in a place where they had no control over what would happen. "Now that we are here, I have no orders for any of you other than to have fun. Eventually they will realize what is happening. By then it'll be too late to do anything other than suffer and admit defeat by our hands."

Having newly been bonded to Lunalia as her husband gave Marko an joy that he hadn't felt in more than 2000 years. Even though he began to walk away from his love and further into the midst of the Soul Society there was a heartbreaking fondness that he felt would nearly destroy him and turned around to walk back over to her and wrap both arms around her. The short stature of the high king made it so that in the embrace his head was directly in her bosom. "Make sure you return to me my love..."

He was gone after that, having ran off on foot into the streets where many people looked at him like nothing was wrong. For all they new Marko was just some shinigami doing speed training in a banaki or shikai state. That had to be the best thing about the status of being forgotten. Nobody recalled what you looked like or even paid much attention to the legends that had been left behind.

A peculiar designed building was what got Marko to stop moving and glance up into the sky. The recognition of a Nulla Jewel in a crest atop the building was all it took to set Marko off. "Ah, so even now they have remnants of what they did to us all those years prior. Its sad how much they will now suffer because of it."

The building exploded.

Then the ground nearest the left side of the building began to crack as the space around it started to implode, killing several people who were too close as they tried to move and were torn apart just by the force that Marko exerted. Within three seconds of this happening, the entire street was in chaos. A single slash from Marko's sword that had extended cut through the rest of the buildings along the sides of the street, toppling them an making an even bigger mess.

It had begun.

Queen Lunalia the Forgiving

Essentia.

The word fell upon her ears like a beautiful melody. For far too long, that name had been lost in the known history of the lesser races. Replaced with the title of Olvidado, or Forgotten, such a high and powerful race was cast aside as nothing more than a lost thought. Not anymore. Just as Lord Kurosaki decreed them upon their creation, they would once again take their place as Essentia, the Essence that stands above all other existences.

The touch of Marko's hand against her face was so warming. Lunalia blushed, making her head feel even hotter as the joy coursed through her very blood. At this moment, everything was perfect. Everything was going as planned, from the awakening to the attacks and next, their return to the Soul Society. But above all else, what made this perfect was knowing she could spend all of eternity beside Marko.

As much as she wished this moment to last forever, or at least much longer than this, the Essentia had work to do. Their existence reaffirmed into the hearts and minds of the Gotei 13, it was time for the proud Kings to finish off the Soul Reapers by striking their very home. With the Captains helpless against them, beaten and bloody as is, there was no hope for those that would attempt to resist their invasion.

No, the word invasion is inappropriate. They were not using force to seize territory from an opposing force. They were by no means encroaching on what did not belong to them. The Essentia were returning to where it all began. Where Lord Kurosaki gave them life, and gave them purpose. Where Marko denounced that purpose, not wishing to spend eternity defending the weak and stupid humans. Where Lunalia betrayed that purpose, choosing to side with the man she loved no matter what doubt existed in her heart. Here, at the...

*Soul Society; 25 minutes later*

After traveling in silence, the three kings found themselves outside the Black Ridge Gate. Nostalgia filled the Queen's thoughts, as so many memories rooted themselves to this place. By Lord Kurosaki's hand, this was where it all began. And by Marko's hand, where it will all end. The High King wasted no time, a cloud of smoke infused with his power eroding away at the barrier meant to keep them out. With the aide of their Creator's Cape at his control, Marko was able to overpower the Nulla Jewel, and the defenses put up so long ago decayed.

Stepping through the hole created, they landed down in the streets below, the souls living here unsure of who they were, living in their ignorance of the coming destruction. Even though it was truly sad to see so many people wasting away in a lower existence, Lunalia could not call upon the usual compassion and mercy she granted those beneath her. Lunalia's mind was set on Marko, and Marko alone.

A hint of sadness began to quell up inside of her as Marko walked off, her eyes staring at the ground. Though he had just left, she already found herself longing for his company. It was but a short moment of feeling down, however, as her love couldn't bare being separated just as much as her. He turned back, and embraced Lunalia in a warm hug. She returned it, squeezing her husband as close to her as she could, his head resting against her breasts as she caressed the back of his head.

"Always, darling. A wife's place is beside her man, after all." Hesitant, the couple ceased their hug, and Marko made his way to begin the attack. Almeda was sure to go on a rampage of sorts, leaving Lunalia to contemplate how to go about this. In all honesty, she had no desire to attack herself, her cheery mode erasing any will to slaughter everyone. So instead, she'd bring about someone else to do so.

However, before she could call upon a handful of Essentia to wreak havoc, a portal opened beside her, and out from it came a lone, powerful Essentia. Lunalia had not seen this one for a long time, and her appearance only further increased her happiness for this day. "Oh my, if it isn't Rhea, Head of my Lunar Knights. It is so very good to see you've woken up. How are the others?"

"Heya Miss Luna! All six of the Lunar Knights are up and ready to serve you! They're all waiting in Hueco Mundo for your orders, but I couldn't sit still anymore knowing you were out here having fun!" This eccentric Essentia shouted excitedly, gathering the attention of passersby with her odd appearance. "Oh, and I also brought my pet, Shin Leviathan. I figured he could use a good stretch since he woke up~"

Roland and Piedra stepped through the Garganta to Soul Society, seeking shelter. That was now what they got. The Olvidado had exactly when they had, so they were once again in peril. Hoping to avoid annihilation, Roland broke off from Piedra and sprinted into a forest near the Rukongai. The Olvidado seemed prepared to attack Soul Society, so he'd just be waiting this one out. He'd wait for the Shinigami to wear the Olvidado down, and then he would strike.

Cerden

Cerden wasn’t quite sure what was going on, though the obvious answer was that there were hollows all around the area. The thing that had him in puzzles was why the Hollows were appearing out of nowhere. This is the main reason he went over to Reimi to get some answers. He had asked her what was going on, but before he could even get a solid answer, he saw a hollow coming at Reimi from behind, and he was able to see it because he was in front of Reimi looking at her in a eyes-to-eyes kind of stance.

“Reimi! Behind you!” Cerden shouted, shoving Reimi aside.

Without any premature warning, the bird Hollow had fired a moderate Cero strait at Reimi, which by now Cerden going to be in the crossfire of the Cero. The Cero was the default one that you would see from a generic Hollow. It was like a simple bullet of condensed Reiatsu, circular, and blue. To counter such a basic attack, Cerden didn’t have to do much. He knew exactly what he had to do.

Raising his right arm diagonally upward, he stuck out his right index finger.

“Byakurai.” Cerden calmly said.

From that, the tip of his index finger became immersed in a yellow reiatsu that instantly shot off a single, strait shot of lightning-based energy right through the Cero, and completely shot through the hollow making it trail off into dust almost instantly.

Cerden turned to Reimi. “Now you can tell me what the hell is going on. Why are all the hollows here? And more importantly, where did all the Olivdado go?”

She had drawn a blank.

Nothing was going inside of her mind as well as outside. Anyone who wanted to reach her, their voices were shut down. Reimi was an odd sight. Eccentric and difficult to watch. It would seem as if she was on the verge of breaking down in tears. Her eyes fixated on a blank spot somewhere in the distance to where Ptolemy had made his exit. It bothered her to no extent that he would just up and leave like that but there was no use crying over spilled milk. Her line of sight was snapped immediately as her head whip-lashed as a result of Cerden tackling her to the ground.

In a single moment, the attack was avoided altogether and the aerial Hollow was dispatched almost as soon as it showed up. Reimi pushed herself up from the ground and turned toward Cerden harboring a look of astonishment while still relaying a depressed aura.

"Now you can tell me what the hell is going on. Why are all the hollows here? And more importantly, where did all the Olivdado go?”

He sounded a bit angry and annoyed at the entire situation. And seeing as there was an influx of Hollow creeping about it was best to get the information out as soon as possible. She looked around as if the answer would be written in the skies or ground. Finally she began to speak.

"To put it short, Ptolemy, a Fullbringer, was the cause of all of this," she motioned her hand over her garments and face to relay the fact that she just got her ass handed to her. "And the destruction of Los Angeles. It'd be best to regroup and pursue on any leads we have." She brushed loose banes from her eyes and sheathed her blade ready to make an exit.

Cerden

Ptolemy..

Cerden knew that name. Yeah, Haruka had told him about the fullbringer when he met up with him. In all honesty, he couldn't believe that one fullbringer could actually cause all of this destruction, but Reimi did go Bankai. Cerden knew Reimi never backed down from a challenge, and Ptolemy must be something if he made her bring out her bankai.

"Haruka did mention something about that guy back when I ran into him in the soul society." Cerden said.

The idea of regrouping would be the best idea. Cerden didn't really know what else the two of them(and the rest of the captains) could do. The only option that Cerden could think of would be to go to Kisuke Urahara. If anyone is good at gathering intel about an unknown enemy, it's the creator of the Research and Development.

"I pose a suggestion." Cerden gleefully said pointing his left index finger upward followed by a rather random cheerful, but still idiotic smile. "Kisuke Urahara might be able to help us. And I bet the others will meet us there as well." He suggested, "wouldn't ya agree, doll face?"

15hours later….

In the time-span of one day, things went from hopeful to hopeless. The fights that consumed The World of The Living took a huge toll on both sides for two entirely different reasons. On the Essentia's side, they celebrate the conquer and destruction of a majority of the Soul Society. On the Soul Reaper’s side, they mourn the destruction of their home. Both sides gathered in their home and/or base.

The Essentia hosting a marvelous party celebrating the newly unification of Queen Lunalia and King Marco, where the Olivdado kings, the Kings’ respective minions, and the other allies join them in the duel celebration.

The Essentia host their marvelous party in the main hall of the Essentia Fortress where all annual parties are held. The walls are white as the sands of Hueco Mundo, and the ceiling goes as far as the eye can see. A simply elegant place to host such a party.

The seating arrangements are as the followed:

At the head of the table is King Marco and Queen Lunalia. At the second table, just left of the head table seats Geityr and his subordinates, which include three of them. At the third table directly opposite of Geityr’s table is Almeda, where he sits with Ptolemy. Lastly, the table directly across from King Marco and Lunalia is the table of Jaakuna and Emiri. They are seated together due to their newfound relationship.

Meanwhile in The World of the Living…

The sadness, the horror, and the realization of the fact that the Seireitei is more-or-less destroyed. The fact that their home is not their home anymore. The Seireitei isn’t even what It used to be. All that remains is rubble, and destruction. Even if they went back to it , there would be nothing to return to. It’s simply a reminder of the lost they have endured.

Even though this is a time of great sorrow, the Thirteen Gotei must stay strong. Through the adversity they face in the threat that is the Essentia, they must stay hopeful. This is exactly the reason why they had taken shelter in Kisuke Urahara’s home. Due to his knowledge, and skills, it was the best decision for the time being. Every captain, and the Soul Reaper’s allies(the visored and arrancars) also take shelter in the rather large home of Urahara.

While each captain are thankful for their lives, and thankful they escaped with what was needed, they all still mourned. It is true they are all mourning about their home, but they also mourn the loss of their Head Captain, Tavar Syra. It came to a shock for everyone. Nobody knew, but the injuries he sustained from his battle from Marco, the leader of the Olivdado, was to dire for even the Captain of the Forth Squad to heal. He ended up passing away from loss of blood, and a strike to his Aorta. Everyone else was rest assured that he did not suffer.

Even with everything that happened, Kisuke wanted to get a thought of where everyone’s head was at. Despite the great sorrow on the heads of every captain, he wanted to make sure there wasn’t a single thought of doubt that could greatly halt any form of planning or anything similar.

When the Essentia had attacked, Sereitei had been obliterated. There was nothing left. Every Soul Reaper present had been subjected to the attack of High King Marko and his subordinates, and the Soul Reapers had lost. The fighting force that they had gathered over the centuries, nearly decimated in a matter of hours. Captains and Vice Captains alike had fallen, unseated Shinigami fell at their mere presence. The only reason anyone was left was because the few remaining Captains had the presence of mind to Retreat to Urahara’s where there Reiatsu could not be tracked. All told, their numbers now stood at around a dozen.

Roland himself had escaped unscathed. He knew better than to strike against the Essentia’s collective force. Apart they were invincible, but together there was no word to properly describe them. Their attacks all complemented each other, protected each other completely. If anyone were to stand a chance against the Essentia, they would first have to separate them.

“ This loss is far too great,” Roland said, addressing the group. “Our fighting force is now half of what it once was. Your presence here proves you are the best Soul Society has left. We should rest up while we have a chance, but it is inevitable that we must face the Essentia again. One thing is certain: they must be separated. If we even hope to stand a chance, we must first reduce them to merely themselves, rather than the sum of their parts. Does anyone have any battle strategies they want to suggest?”

The Urahara household wasn't exactly anything to marvel at. But it got the job done. As for Reimi, her battle wounds would take some time to heal but they were not detrimental by any means. However, she was still patched up with bandages along the right temple and her left shoulder wrapped up. In the home of Urahara she need not wear a shirt due to the fact that the bandages concealed her breasts as well. A steaming cup of black tea filled the air as Reimi sat barefoot only with a pair of sweats.

Still, the thought of loosing almost everyone in a matter of hours was something to be feared of within itself. Surely if the time called for it she would fight at less than 100% but the act of taking the Essentia on at once was ludicrous. Reimi really did not know how to come to terms with all of the destruction except for to set it aside for now and worry about what will eventually happen rather than dwell in the past. Roland did his best to try and catch the attention of everyone who was still there. All Reimi could do was listen on.

"Does anyone have any battle strategies to suggest?”

Well that was a vanilla question. But they were at war so there had to be something that took down Essentia. Being one of the more selfish members of the group despite all that has happened, Reimi forced down the rest of her tea. Placing the cup to the side, she stood, "I call dibs on that bastard, Ptolemy." Clearly her anger was not settled. And to be quite frank, that was all she had to offer to the group. Reimi motioned herself to walk past the group and gracefully stepped outside to just get a breath of fresh air.

Jaakuna

Well this party was pretty elegant, if anything.

Might be a monster or whatever people can call him, but Jaakuna surely enjoyed this party. Anybody who was anybody associated with the Essentia were here. Considering the only ones were the kings, and their cronies, there wasn’t many. Of course, Jaakuna and Emiri were the so-called cronies of Queen Lunalia who happened to be the official queen. Seeing as how she is now married to King Marco, it’s truly a day to be celebrating.

“Isn’t this a wonderful party, Emiri-dear?” Jaakuna’s face lit up with a wide smile.

For this special occasion, Jaakuna had to dress for it. It was the first time that Jaakuna actually wasn’t wearing anything red. He was actually wearing a white suit. It was elegant as you can get. A white jacket, black belt, white pants, black shirt, and black dress shoes. His hair was pulled back in a ponytail, he even showered.

Cerden

Kisuke’s place wasn’t nothing to brag about, but considering the situation the remaining captains are in, it had to suffice. Cerden had heard what exactly happened to the Soul Society, and what he heard he couldn’t believe. The fact it was destroyed by one man. However, he could believe a form of the realization. When heard of that Ptolemy person’s power, and how little it took him to beat Reimi, he started to believe it.

Looking around, Cerden noticed that there was a form of downed morale. Aside from the captains, there was also the arrancars that aided them in the fight yesterday.

The one that called himself Roland actually posed a good question as well as he spoke the truth. The soul society did indeed suffer a great loss. They have loss their head captain, their fighting forces was indeed cut in half, and even more so, the fact that the Essentia are gonna get stronger poses a big threat. Cerden was no strategist, but he had an idea. However, before he could speak of his idea, Reimi stepped forward saying she wants Ptolemy. Cerden kept quiet on that idea.

Soon after Reimi spoke up, she went outside, probably to get fresh air or something of the sort.

“Roland was it?” Cerden stepped forward, “Before we do anything strategy-wise, we need to do a physiological evaluation of everybody here.” He continued. “Given our loss, I’m confident that no one here is at one-hundred percent mentally.“ Cerden thus continued again. “And furthermore, if we went ahead with a battle plan in the condition we’re all in, we’d die. I have no doubt in that."

One of the Soul Reapers set down the rest of her tea. Placing her cup to the side, she stood, "I call dibs on that bastard, Ptolemy." She spoke in a simmering tone, and spoke nothing else, instead walking past the group and stepping outside.

Roland's gaze followed her right out the door. He would have advised her against leaving if he hadn't known Urahara's spells worked in a wide radius around the house. Turning back to the group he found that another Shinigami was beginning to speak.

“Roland was it?” Before we do anything strategy-wise, we need to do a physiological evaluation of everybody here. Given our loss, I’m confident that no one here is at one-hundred percent mentally. And furthermore, if we went ahead with a battle plan in the condition we’re all in, we’d die. I have no doubt in that."

Roland rested his chin on his palm, considering things. “Very well, I see no problem with that. We are in no hurry, so long as we strike before the Essentia do. I can vouch for my mind and body. I am fortunate enough to have sustained few injuries, and we Arrancar heal quickly. Do what you must with the others so that we may continue our planning”

Creating bonds to save our world and bring peace
~Bryce

Unlike everyone else, Bryce sat alone within the training facility, far away from anyone. Tears streamed from his face as he succumbed to sadness. To think that so many had faded from this existence during the Essentia attack. He mourned for all that had died and wished he could have taken down Almeda but, the beast overpowered him, Cerden, and Idai. His strength proved naught against the power rage that Lunalia had inhibited within Almeda and then there was the second form. It was like someone was punishing them and Almeda was the weapon used. Nothing seemed to stop him and he was the one that brought upon the major injuries to Bryce's body. His leg was still broken and his shoulder was still broken and out of place.

What really hurt him the most was the losing the Head Captain. Syra was close to Bryce and they were friends. It was a hit to the heart and he would bring revenge upon the Essentia no matter how long it took.

~ Syra

Flashback to battle with Marko..... Both men were engaged a battle of epic proportions. Reiatsu, explosions, and sound wave destroyed the area that was to be their battleground. It was as if a war was raging between them. Marko's power was fully unleashed along with Syra showing off his Arrancer transformationfinally. Some would probably call this greatest battle since Ichigo battled a man known as Grimmjow. Neither seemed to want to quit, getting up after every attack. Pushing forward through every injury. Unfortunately Marko proved himself to be much more powerful then the Head Captain, ending his life with two vital strikes. As he lay there dying, Syra's life flashed before him as he sent out his last message for the captains to run and then a message to Akairo saying, "Thank you." A singular image of him and Akairo lasted there until the picture of the entire Gotei together faded from his memory. His body vanished, piece by piece into the air until there was nothing left of the second greatest Captain that SS had ever known.

Flashback to the present...

Slowly opening his eyes, Syra pushed up from the floor. He couldn't comprehend what was going on but, he realized soon enough, after touching the spots where his wounds used to be, that things weren't right. He scanned his current surrondings, noticing the red tint and the disturbed look to everything. A voice rang forth from behind the Syra, "This is Hell. Welcome....FOREVER!"

Emerging from around the corner, Genji entered the main room where many of the remaining Captains were sitting around a long table, discussing the future efforts of The 13 Court Guard Quads.

Genji's right arm was completely wrapped in a few layers of bandages as it hung in a cloth sling. During the mist of chaos that had taken place in the last day he had recieved a more serious injury, just as many of his other comrades had. Those who survived anyways. He took slash to his arm, cutting from his forearm all the way up to his shoulder. Sure enough, with the miracle of the remaining healing corps kido, he's healing up just fine. Eager and ready to get back into the battle, he interjected into the conversation.

"Though we truly aren't at our best right now, we can't afford to wait long. I know that we're tired. I know we're sad. But we cannot afford to let them receive the upper hand. They think we're broken and lost, we need to show them that we are still a force to be reckoned with and that we are still strong." Genji winced as he moved his arm about too much. It was obvious that at this given moment, he wasn't ready for a battle, yet his stubborness said otherwise.

Now next to the table in the center of the room, he found the nearest spot on the floor next to Captain Pathy. "I get that a lot of think it seems fruitless to even try and go against them again, but all we need is some sort of an upper hand..." Genji now turns to Urahara. "Kisuke... tell us more about these 'nullstones'. I know Head Captain Tavar had spoke about them before our battle... What are they?"

Urahara:

"Welllll.... I was hoping I was never going to have to have this conversation with you all. I guess my luck ran out now that the Essentia have returned and our once again in power. Oh, well." Kisuke stood up began to slowly walk around the room. Gathering his thoughts to tell the 'secret' tale of the Olvidado...

"The Kings were made by one person. A person so strong, they were able to create the Kings. He created them in order to act as Protectors of the Dead and the Living. They called him Lord Kurosaki...

They did as their creator, or 'father' commanded, committing their lives to the weak. But after awhile, the Kings came to the thought that they were far superior than those they were told to protect. Why should they have to watch over races and save them from evil, when they ended up killing themselves in wars anyway?

Starting with High King Marko himself, the Kings one by one decided they had enough. Being the greatest beings in existence, they deemed it their right to rule over others and kill them as they pleased.

Shocked and saddened by his creations' decision, their 'Father' created the Null Stones from fragments of his very soul, and used them to weaken and seal the Kings.

Almost 3000 years later, the same 'Father' created the Soul Reapers to act as the police over the Dead and Living. Learning from his mistakes, he made them weak and flawed in natured, but they made up for it by being determined and dedicated to their cause.

Soon after, he died, leaving the fate of everything in the hands of the Court Guard Squads. He never imagined his failures would break free and wage war on all of existence though...

You see, the Kings were made from their creators own soul, each one a fragment of his being. For example, Lunalia could be his compassion and imagination, Almeda his rage and fighting instinct, Geirtyr his wisdom and faith, and High King Marco could be his full incarnation of his ideals. This is why the Null Stones are effective. As part of their Father's soul, they sap their energy and weaken them.

They know that the nullstones can effect them, but I believe think they are all gone."
He turned around and moved towards his glass cabinet against the wall. Filled with his trinkets and antiques, who know what he could pull out. Reaching far into the back, he removed a small purple jewel. Holding in front of him for all of the captains to see, it was seemingly made of some sort of hardened glass. It gleamed with a strange glow that eminated from the stone, hinting at the power held within. "This is a nullstone. These, with a bit of intuity by my part, can be used by us to bring the Kings to there knees."

Roland Oceanier

Roland maintained a calm expression, all the while fuming on the inside. What was this Laid-back attitude that Urahara was sporting? He had the Null-stones, the most potent weapons against the kings, and had withheld them until now?!?!!?!?!?!??!!? He was so, so close to just going Ressurecion and slicing the fool’s head off. But getting angry wouldn’t solve anything, Urahara would be a useful pawn in ensuring Piedra his victory.

“Bring them to their knees, you say?” Roland spoke. “In that case, please explain the effects of the stones and how to use them.”

Wonderful, huh.

Exactly what she was doing here was still a mystery. At the moment, she was deep in thought. In all honesty, she had no clue what was going on, or what had happened. Still, it was clearly something of great proportion, and she was slowly but surely getting dragged along with it.

But what was she going to do? Nothing. At least, for the moment.

Sitting back in her chair, Emiri stayed quiet, only nodding to Jaakuna's remark. I wonder exactly what the Queen has planned. She stared straight at the table in front of her, as if she didn't want to look at anyone. No, she didn't want to be noticed--although it was much too late for that, she didn't want to go and do something dumb. She was already a sore thumb compared to the rest--the only human.

No, she did not count him as human.

Lightly tracing the top of her glass with a finger, she decided to look at Jaakuna. "Yes." She replied, looking at the glass. "Wonderful."

Nowhere in particular.
Cerden

Cerden had heard talks about these Null Stones from The Brain. There wasn’t much that he had told him, but Cerden remembered him saying that they were some source of great power. As smart as TB was, even he didn’t know how strong and useful they were. With the explanation that Urahara gave, Cerden was almost certain that these stones could be the one thing to give them the edge against the Essentia. The hard part of getting them is that the captains have to venture into Essentia territory.

“Okay, so let me get this strait.” Cerden’s mouth opened, and the talking started, “we have these all-powerful stones that, as Roland said, are the one thing that could give us the edge over the Essentia.” Cerden’s words went off into a rather irritated, but understanding tone, “and we’re gonna bring them to their knees with this? I’m sorry, but think about it realistically. Our Head-Captain DIED facing their leader, Reimi almost died by one of their subordinates.” Cerden stepped forward, pretty much standing a mere foot away from Urahara, “if these stones do what you say they do, then why the hell didn’t you tell us about this before.”

It was obvious that Cerden was pissed. It’s rare for him to get like this, but when something this drastic is held from them, Cerden has a good reason to get pissed.

“Also, what if they find the stones, and destroy them?”

Jaakuna

Unlike Emiri, Jaakuna was ecstatic about this party. There was enough food to feed a whole town, there was great music, and aside from Almeda, the company was great. How she could be so…emotionless, is beyond anything that Jaak could comprehend.

“So, what’s on your mind, darling?” Jaakuna asked. He knew something was on her mind, but Emiri was a weird one. She always hides something, but Jaakuna always knew ways to get it out of her, one way or another.
