Queen Lunalia the Forgiving
Those words...the words every woman wants to hear. The words every man risks it all to speak. The words meant for those in love.
Those words...such simple words to speak, yet the strength required to back them up with all your heart tends to be greater than most men have in them.
Those words...equate to bliss once they fall upon the ears of a woman, yet the courage to follow your heart tends to get lost in most women's insecurities.
Those words...Lunalia replayed the words spoken from Marko over and over again. Poetry, singing, melodies. No other type of sound had ever been as beautiful to hear as those words, and none shall ever compare in the future to come. Yes, a future that was now destined to be shared between these two Olvidado. For all of eternity, Lunalia had been living her life for the sake of the High King. Fighting for him. Hurting for him. Smiling for him. Her heart had always belonged to him, that was no doubt. She had always pondered over his feelings for her, the fear of not being loved in return the way she loved him preventing her from being openly honest.
Now, the mystery had disappeared. Marko truly loved her, and now all of those dreams she had didn't compare to this moment. This realization that what she wanted most in life, was kneeling on the ground right in front of her, asking for her hand in marriage. The sheer amount of joy coursing through her very being was too much. No thought could be processed, and no words could be spoken. She just...wanted to stand there, frozen in time. To allow this happiness to fill her heart forever, never to be disturbed. However, she knew time must go on, for there was still much to do for these two. Besides, this may be the happiest she's ever felt, but every second onward by his side would only get better.
It finally became too much for Lunalia, her legs giving out as she fell to her knees. The white dress would be covered in dirt, but that didn't matter. Nothing mattered, other than him. The two were now at eye level, her gaze locked onto his blank face. She continued to gaze at him, mind all aflutter trying to grasp the situation. After what felt like eternity, the Queen finally managed to gather her thoughts, her entire focus locked onto Marko.
A smile stretched across her face. Not the usual one of compassion, but one of the utmost joy. Her cheeks turned red, and for a moment, Lunalia was forced to avert her gaze, a side of her only Marko could reveal. Despite having calmed down a bit, words still escaped her. No words could match his words, so she dared not even attempt. Still having the hands held together, Lunalia repositioned them to interlock at the fingers, entwining their hands together as she shuffled her knees to move in closer to him. She moved in closer, and closer, until they were less than a foot apart. Lunalia moved her face in, resting her head against his, forehead to forehead.
She could feel the warmth of his body with hers, all of her tension melting away thanks to his heat. Her smile grew larger, perfect white teeth showing as it became ever impossible to contain her happiness. Tears of joy escaped her eyes, running down her pale cheeks. As the tears washed over her unwavering smile, Lunalia let out a light laugh, her voice returning to her. Her glowing, orange eyes reflected her joy back at Marko, for right now, Lunalia was the happiest being in existence.
Close in both body, mind, and heart, Lunalia did not need to speak to answer Marko. Her thoughts were his, as they've always been. She moved her face in closer, their lips now inches from each other, their warm breath mixing in the air. With all of her will, she relayed her feelings in her mind, so that only Marko may hear.
"My Love, you need not have asked. I am yours, now, and forever."
