So Bloc Party's new album came out a couple days ago as a digital only album.

I actually didn't know it came out until today.

Downloaded the album.
Its pretty good, I think it might need a couple of listens to get into it totally though.

wtf lol. Had no idea they were doing this digital only thing.

I can't wait to hear it though, since Silent Alarm and Weekend In The City are amazing.

I actually saw them on Saturday night, and it was probably the best live music performance I've ever been to in my life. It was insane because there was this huge scale push and the front just turned into a giant mosh pit. e crowd went crazy after they opened with Mercury, Hunting For Witches and Song For Clay, I spent more time closer to the ground, and people were just grabbing my wrists and trying to pull me up, and I was using my feet to push people away. It was kind of try to fight without using up all your energy or else you'll collapse and die. Very random for a Bloc Party gig.

Yeah, Mercury has grown on me. Even though it doesn't make sense to me. Don't really understand the importance of Mercury being in retrograde or how it can be in retrograde.

tl;dr - I'm excited about Intimacy.

Let me know what you think Darkly, because I can't download it until I get my laptop back which sucks immensely.

Ion Square made love to me when i first heard it. i pre ordered both the digital and physical. i think so far its amazing and im pretty excited to hear those extras on the physical version

After a full gothrough today, Halo is still the best song Bloc Party's ever done, and Mercury is still the worst.

Also, Ares has godawful lyrics :C

Mercury has been growing on me. It's honestly one hell of a weird song, and the official music video for it is even stranger. Much stranger. But all in all, oddly enough, I enjoy the song.

I also enjoy One Month Off, Trojan Horse, and Halo, though I can easily listen to each song on the album. The only thing I dislike about Bloc Party is their unnecessary use of foul language; yeah, I don't like cussing.

And Enchanted Rose, I feel the same when you say you don't understand Mercury. Even better, try understanding the music video. Gosh, I'd give $200 to the person who could explain to me the meaning of that video.

It's definetly worth it!

Refreshingly different from Weekend In The City. Altho Weekend in the City is still my favorite BP album.
I like the direction they went with this. It's more hyper, fun, just...crazy.

My personal favorite is Ares. It's so chaotic, sets the mood up perfectly for the rest of the album.


And I also have "MY MERCURY'S IN RETROGRADE" stuck in my head =[

Weekend In The City is my favourite too. Even though Silent Alarm was more critically acclaimed, I just love the whole vibe of Weekend, and of course, The Prayer, Hunting for Witches, Song for Clay, I Still Remember and Sunday are AWESOME x4.

And I much prefer when bands change the direction, at least a little, it makes it more interesting for us to see how they develop.

I shall be getting this asap. And will especially look out for the tracks that you guys mentioned, thanks.
