Probably just advertising. All we see is the E3 trailer, there's not a single hint of any playable demos.

Looks like advertising to me - that's the E3 trailer.
They might have a demo though. They had one for Days, and Birth by Sleep has a lot more hype than Days so, it's possible.

Comic Con isn't just about comics. It's really just a huge entertainment expo; they've got movies, video games, and TV shows advertised there too.
But it's a Comic convention at it's core though.
Basically, Comics are the main, and everything else is a side act.

Yeah, and? Just because it's a comic convention at its core doesn't mean that there can't be anything else there.
As I said, it's an entertainment expo that features mainly comics, but it's got other media aside from comics.
Spongebob has his own comics. Search it.
But it's mainly a TV show an no doubt they would mostly talk about the show, not the comics

No, there's a demo. One for each character. Ven in deep space and Aqua and Terra in a castle and field...I forgot which one.
