It's a well-known fact. It's been known since KH1 because of all the evidence, the fact that it's been stated in the games, etc.

well it was confirm in Kingdom Hearts 1...when you fight riku in H/B the journal updates and says that riku was the rightful one to wield the keyblade.
i hope so!.
and dont double post
now i ask id there any fact to this? wait i already know there is none! and thats soo unlikely

its not that i dont want him to get stronger but having two keyblades full time just not that great in a way.
it will get old for once and having two keyblades will make killing heartless(or whatever new emeny we will have in kh3) faster...i mean look how fast you kill heartless/nobodies with the forms. its better to have dual wielding in forms and for a short time...
and dont double post.
well ya i can see you point but it be nice to dual wield some times. I think the deal is not Sora being strong but the heartless being too easy to bet and there are too few of them.

The basic requirement for weilding a keyblade is having a strong heart. Simple as that. It can be a heart of light or darkness or in between, doesn't matter.
MX, DS, Sora, Riku, Mickey all had strong hearts, thus are able to wield.
Roxas because he is Sora's Nobody
Xion cause she is connected to Sora as well.
Kairi simply borrowed the keyblade Riku summoned.
And I think that covers the basics to wielding a keyblade.
I know it has been said already in pieces, just wanted to sumarize the whole thread easilt for others ^^;;

maybe so but it would get old fast, if you want sora stronger and more powerful then nomura should give him more powerful moves and magic.for example watch how strong terra is with one keyblade.now imagen how it would be if that was sora with two keyblades....the game would suck....nomura should put dual-wielding in forms... :36:

My guess is it has something to do with Mickey almost being the main character, and the fact that Donald and Goofy fight, there for Mickey should be able to as well. More then anything
lol my friend your making it sound like Nomura will not give Sora new move and spells, two keyblades or not Sora will be stronger and more powerful. like maybe there will be time were he can use two cause of his connection with Roxas, and if he can use it all the time it could be cause Roxas came back to him. Im also sure what ever we will be fighting will strong that the two keyblades will come in handy with out making it too easy

i know ora will have new moves and spells.what I'm trying to say is that it would be a bad idea if sora could dual-wield full time. and roxas join with sora a long time ago,thats why he can dual-wield but sora hasnt learn how to dual-wield on his own yet so he uses forms to do it.
and dont be too sure about that...2 keyblades will over power sora XD
maybe they could make it a limit.

well yeah but it sounds better to make it in forms... but of course nomura will probably make a new system to dual-wield just like D-link to summon in BBS :31:
i just hope we dont get DW full time... that will either make sora weak or make sora powerful.
If sora's ability to DW was cause of his connection to Roxas before, and Roxas was able to DW any time he wanted to, So maybe Sora is able to now Cause Roxas came back to him. I say this cause its rear (or may be it has never happen before) for some one who has lose his heart and have a nobody to become whole again, So any thing could happen.( im assume that your somebody is die or gone when you lose your heart)
Like when in KH2 what every level and ability Roxas have Sora gets when you start play as him, So it could work the same when they become whole).
If sora can DW any time I'm sure every thing will balance out :36:
Uhh.. well, maybe it has to do something with him having say.. a strong or qualified heart. Looking back at KH2, it does sort of puzzle me why they're now all of the sudden adding new keyblade wielders, but if you consider those who got them (ignoring Kairi), it makes sense.
Mickey obviously has a really strong heart, as he seems to travel a lot. He also seems to be a bit of peacekeeper as well. Either way, I can see why he gets one.
Sora was only the "chosen one" because keyblade wielders weren't as common as they used to be, like back in BBS' time or better yet, before it. (Enter Aqua, Terra, Ven, MX, DS, and maybe VAT's Master (I'm pretty sure he's one of them, but he could also just be another Yen Sid.. unless Yen Sid secretly wields one to or use to.. in KH2's time.))
I'd explain more, but I think everyone's already covered the rest and the topic's concerning Mickey, not the others.
