Dead Rising

I'm getting an Xbox360 next week and I've heard nothing but good things about Dead Rising, I'm a huge Resident Evil fan and I know Capcom developed it.

Anyway, I was just wondering what everyone else's thoughts were about the game and if it's worth buying?:thumbsup:

I still play it. It's a good game.

When I first bought it, I thought it was awful. But after about a week, I realized that it's nice to just sit back, and kill some Zombies.

Also, there's a LOT of achievements to keep you busy for a long time.

I love Dead Rising, but the save system sucks. D: Right now, I'm stuck in the game and I find it annoying that I have to run across the mall every time. <.< I'm trying to ignore the save system problems, because it is a fun game, but it is hard for me at this point. D:

I heard you can only save into one slot, so if you screw up there's a chance you'd have to start the game again from scratch!:cursing:

Also, I heard that one of the achievments is to kill all 151,000 zombies, quite a task!

Although you do only have one slot to save in, your level and stats will carry over into any new games you start, so you won't have to recover any of that ground, and the game itself is remarkably short. Also, unless you're going for a specific achievement it's rarely possible to "screw up" in any significant manner. In short, don't worry about the one save deal.

It's an excellent game, but the saving does suck. Also, there IS an achievement for killing 53,594 zombies. Zombie Genocider. When you unlock it, get and ending, and you'll get the REAL Mega Buster. It kills zombies, and most psychos, in 1 hit.
