Gotta stop now, mid way through prologue. Loving it though. =D Will read more later.
Do tell me how your feelings are towards it when you finish! ;w;
This was outstanding! I loved all of the details that went into this chapter and spun it into something we could visualize in our minds so well. I really feel for Suihei, because being lost on a new world, concerned about her friends and family would leave anyone shell shocked. I really like the female counterpart of Cid aka Cidney, because it was such a sweet and sensitive thing to do - giving Suihei soup like that. I just want to hug her so much. <3 Of course, the high light of this chapter for me was Lightening. A beauty so fierce yet kind beneath the surface in her own way. And last but not least, Suihei has not had it easy growing up. I can understand feeling of being stuck or caged in. Perhaps getting what you wished for isn't always good thing, you know? Overall, I can't wait for the next chapter and I look forward to seeing how Suihei handles meeting Vanille when she wakes up.
Spoiler ShowDates will be broken down into two sections --
Vetus Lux, or Old Light, refers to events prior to Destati ; up to, including, and beyond the Dark Seeker Saga.
Nova Lux, or New Light refers to post-Kingdom Hearts events following the adventures of Suihei.
This is entirely based on the 'Destati' timeline.
??? VL
• Age of Fairytales ; ancestral Keyforgers bequeath the secrets of shaping Keyblades to their students in an attempt to get closer to the light of Kingdom Hearts. Greed eventually breeds darkness, and eventually the Keyblade Wars occur.
• Sousei and Lucina, two apprentice Keyblade Warriors, fight for the realm of light. Lucina becomes a healer of great renown as a member of the Unicornis faction, and Sousei, while remarkably skilled, is eventually lost in the great battle of the Keyblade Graveyard, which causes the World to fracture into several pieces, and Daybreak Town to be wiped off the map.
• Following the defeat of her renegade Master, Eamon, Lucina retired to Twilight Town ; with the remaining Keyblade wielders, she helps establish The Order of Light in order to push back the Darkness that continued to infect the Worlds given life through the light of children's hearts.
• Despite her inactive status, she does take steps to ensure that a Successor would one day be able to take her mantle in case Darkness swept through the Worlds again. While the Mansion that housed countless meetings between the factions of Keyblade Wielders became her home, she conducted few experiments to set aside pieces of her potential as a Keyblade wielder in the 'chains of memory' that connected her heart directly to her descendents. It was a failure of an experiment.
• Eventually she has children, and those children have children-- so on and so forth while her legend eventually fades as does her name.

• Xehanort's studies are sealed within the depths of Radiant Garden ; the Cavern of Remembrance is sealed behind a Keyhole.
• Sora and Riku, along with other masters, rebuild the legacy of the Keyblade by taking on apprentices once they've mastered their own abilities further.
1950-500 VL
• Second Great Era
• Peace and prosperity reigns over the realm of Light once more for countless eons. The Worlds live in blissful ignorance of one another.
• Due to a lack of adequate candidates awakening their Keyblades, Wielders begin to go on a rapid decline, until very few remain.
• 500 VL The Scientists of Radiant Garden seek alternatives to Keyblade Wielders, fearing that once the last few are gone, they'll have no way to defend from the Darkness. Looking at annotations from the seven princesses of Heart, they attempt to create artificial beings with Hearts of pure light, but forget the conscious that comes with a soul. Thus, the Soulless are born.
500-495 VL The Great Purge of the Worlds occur at the hands of the Soulless, who take on the mantle of The Order ; their higher ranking members attempt to steal the light of Kingdom Hearts for themselves, but the remaining Keyblade Masters make a final stand in order to seal away the artificial beings of Light in an isolated area behind a great seal meant to hold them at bay until the end of time. The repercussion of this Palace of Light being given form is the Keyblade fading into complete obscurity.
• ??? VL Nyx remains in the shadows, exploring the Worlds and gaining knowledge following the fall of both Organizations.
16 VL
• Suihei is born in Twilight Town.
• Norwin is born in Illuminated Springs.
15-5 VL
• A young researcher by the name of Seria conducts experiments on the matters of the Heart with her colleague, and then time romantic interest. Unfortunately his heart is swallowed by Darkness during a brief scan of the barriers between the realms.
• Following her partner's descent into Seria discovers Xehanort's notes in the depths of Radiant Garden's restricted section. She uses his experiments as a source of inspiration for her own, overtaken with grief as she is. Experiments on the Heart are conducted in order to find their strengths, weaknesses, and the fundamental truths of the universe at large.
• Noxic is 'created' by injecting what little Light Seria could salvage into the Heart obscured by Darkness, and pushed into the Sleeping body of her colleague. Bitter and resentful towards him for 'stealing' the body of the one she cared most for, Noxic is placed beneath countless cruel experiments in order to test the depths of his Heart. Ask Noxi's creator what exactly these experiments were.
• She eventually begins constructing the 'Mammon Machine' in order to harvest Darkness and search through the depths of it for her former colleague.
• Suihei is chosen by the Keyblade due to Worlds sensing that the barriers between the realms were declining, and a champion is needed. It is only through the convenience of her Heart resonating with that of a past wielder's that she is selected by the Keyblade as a potential wielder. However, she does not awaken this potential for many years. For the time being, it sleeps within her.
• Norwin begins training with a survivor of the previous Keyblade Wars ( technically a third one that didn't result in a universal reset ), her Uncle. Unfortunately, she can't seem to draw it forward, so her Master sends her off into the Worlds to help her attempt to get over this emotional and mental hurdle.
0 NL ; Act I
Twilight Town
• Over the course of the last week of school, Suihei has several dreams that culminate into an 'awakening'. She meets with her friends, Barret, Relm and Marlene over the course of the week in order to save up for a trip towards the tail end of the week.
• On a walk home, she meets a mysterious cloaked woman who makes a note of the Worlds being connected once more. Confused, she carries on, despite the ominous warning.
• During the final days, peculiar things begin happening in town. She is eventually drawn towards the old mansion following an argument with her friends
• Twilight Town experiences a horrible storm. She sets out in the midst of a storm night to find her mother, who had yet to come home from work. Keyblade comes to form in her hand, and ( horribly ) battles the Heartless in the hopes of finding her mother. Eventually comes to the Clocktower, and fights a Darkside. World is swallowed by Darkness.
Traverse Town
• Suihei awakens, completely and totally confused as to what happened. She meets a mysterious woman named Lightning, who tests Suihei once spying the Keyblade. A friend of hers, Vanille acts as a dampener to the situation once Suihei recovers from being . . . beat the crap out of. They send her to meet a young woman named Cid, who maintained contact with a Gummi Ship Engineer, Gadget. While they let her know it'll be a bit of time before getting the Ship up, she is free to explore the Town until then.
• Suihei, Noxic, and Nyx meet one another by-- quite clearly running into one another. Team-up is meant to be temporary and out of convenience, but Nyx's own curiosity towards the Keyblade leads to them both sticking with one another - Noxic only joins once Suihei mentions a gummi-ship being repaired for her, though his reasoning behind it is shallow at best. They don't intend to stick together for long due to mutual distrust over Darkness and keys respectively.
• Prior to departing Traverse Town, Rydia, an experienced Summoner, teaches Suihei the basics of magic and acts as a teacher over the course of her journey.
• Worlds away, a conglomerate of Villains speak on the potential of growing closer to the ultimate power of Kingdom Hearts - Facilier acts as the then head.
Underland ( Alice 2010 )
• The trio's first adventure that. . . unfortunately led to a bit of infighting. Trust had yet to be established, yet Underland - a place where fiction is reality and reality is fiction, forced the three of them to continue to work together in order to get through the World. Essentially testing their sense of identities before they come to find that they have a few more things in common than what they would've initially thought. They meet a girl named Alice, assist with ending a war between the White and Red Queens ( as it had been foretold, apparently ) and finish it off by helping the young woman with slay a darkness infused Jabberwock. Knave of Hearts and the Red Queen were banished from Underland. Keyhole was located in the Vorpal sword.
The Lost Empire ( Atlantis )
• Clad in Atlantean garb, their excuse ( pitiable as it is ) is that they're from a lost . . . lost tribe. Not that Atlanteans believe it, so it takes a bit of time to prove their worth to the King. After a while, they do eventually encounter Kida and Milo. After repeated dives and exposing the secrets behind Atlantis, the trio get what they believe to be their first hint of what could possibly be the the Keyhole of the World. After finding the Heart of Atlantis and fighting Commander Rourke, who was overtaken by mindless greed and sought to eradicate the Atlanteans through use of the Heartless. With Noxic utilizing one of the peculiar flying machines, the trio manage to catch up just in time to stop Rourke from escaping Atlantis completely. they came out on top and defeat the man once he becomes a crystalline Heartless himself.
Baker Street ( Great Mouse Detective )
• An awkward situation ( that is, being a mouse ) leads to Suihei, Noxic and Nyx to assist Basil of Baker Street in solving a mysterious case involving the Heartless. While initially thought of as inept assistants, the Detective does come to appreciate the trio's cooperative nature, and teaches them a few of his tricks. Ratigan proves to be at the head of the problem, and after defeating the Heartless at his beck and call, as well as foiling his plans to replace the Queen, they thwart his second attempted kidnapping by savingOlivia, a young mouse who had assisted them previously.
Eventually their battle takes them above the Thames River, and onto Big Ben, where they have one more fight inside the Clock Tower. Against a gear-like Heartless controlled by Ratigan, the quartet proves incredibly successful, and Ratigan faces his final defeat by falling off of the tower to his death. The Keyhole of this world was, ironically Big Ben.
Legacy to Galaxy ( Treasure Planet )
• Though their next adventure wouldn't be as exciting, and indeed, it seemed as if the trio were caught unawares by their outfits taking on a Pirate Motif. On a ship of . . . people seeking out a place called Treasure Planet. Wrongfully imprisoned for their brand of mischief, the trio eventually convince the crew to allow them to work for them following Jim Hawkin's own constant visits to the brig and subsequent conversations with them. They do learn, eventually, what the crew was seeking, and when given the opportunity to learn how to solar surf, Suihei sought to fill her time with learning exactly how to perfect this craft.
Talks of mutiny eventually led to an even bigger conflict than the trio expected ; shot down to the verdant grasslands of Treasure Planet with Amelia and Jim ; their adventure through the planet eventually comes to a head when they discover the secrets tucked inside, and a wraith-like Heartless attempts to stop their escape from Treasure Planet once it's set to explode. Alongside Jim, Noxic assists in performing a daring attempt at helping the others escape atop a Solar Glider, with Suihei and Nyx providing backup by firing magical projectiles. Eventually they all escape the exploding treasure planet once a portal is opened back to safety, and the trio are given an honorary extension to learn aside Jim in the military as cadets.
Though all three denied the opportunity, they did leave with a promise of potentially returning one day, with the hopes of seeing everything turning out well. The Keyhole of this world happened to be the map to Treasure Planet itself.
Mystic Woods ( Pocahontas )
• Suihei, Noxic and Nyx find themselves in the midst of a forest nearly overtaken by Heartless, which prove to be incredibly close to swallowing the World. Due to the conflict between the Settlers and Natives, the sheer amount of Darkness saturating the World brought it to critical levels of Darkness. Beneath Ratcliffe's malevolent guidance, the settlers had taken to dehumanizing the natives as 'savages', and Suihei, being of a similar skintone, found herself categorized likewise. It was only through the timely intervention of the Chief's daughter, Pocahontas,, that she and her friends managed to get away. Led to the home of the tribe, the trio found themselves mistaken as travelers of another clan -- and with Nyx explaining the situation as best as he could ( while being mistaken for a spirit, of course ) they found themselves welcome to assist the Natives to the best of their ability.
As a quick task offered by Pocahontas, they sought off to see Grandmother Willow, who was said to be more than aware of the issues at hands. Though her grove proved to be sacred from the touch of Heartless, she admitted that the World was still in danger. It was only hate that continued to breed more hate, and that came to a rise even when Pocahontas found someone that she could love, despite his origins from another land. The death of Pocahontas' intended, however, spoiled this and pushed settler and native alike to nearly strive to annihilate one another. Ratcliffe, in his greed for gold that didn't exist, attempted to end the cease-fire by allowing his Darkness to overtake him ; with the combined efforts of the trio, however, he was put down for good once they eliminated the Heartless within.
Keyhole is in Mother Willow's mouth, weirdly enough.
Hawaiian Island ( Lilo & Stitch )
• . . . genuinely wanted to say mini-games, but will think of a Lilo&Stitch plot to go with at some point. This does give her the idea to work on wayfinders for herself and Nyx and Nox, though.
Olympus Coliseum
• Simple ; visit for Hero training, participate in several tournaments, fight a Titan ; meet Vincent Valentine and beg for his radical cape, get turned down. 'Something something monster' epiphany for Noxic, maybe, trio goes through several cups, Suihei laments being a Junior Hero still, eventually Platinum Cup = Ultimecia fight. Defeat her with monumental effort, profit. Keyhole is said championship cup.
Fields of Bravery ( Sword & The Stone )
The Schoolyard ( Recess )
• Nothing amazing, really ; just meeting with the Kids from Recess, de-aged, Suihei gets detention for cursing ( what she said will never be known, just know she was mad about the lack of boobage she had going on ) and is forever known as the kid that's saidThat Word. Eventually manages to gain respect from the Recess Kids by managing to scrummage around their talents without the keyblade. Keyhole is a dang dodgeball, of all things.
Fallen Garden
• Travel to Fallen Garden in order to face Facilier ; they discover he's been a pawn this entire time. Following his first defeat, the true puppetmaster, Seria, reveals herself and subsequently overcharges him with such Darkness that he takes the form of a Shadow Man. Following his defeat, he is swallowed by Darkness. Suihei and co. attempt to face Seria, but Noxic's temper at being called a joke causes them to lose track of her. The final Keyhole remains the weird warp-y heart thingy.
End of the World
• With their journey coming to a close, Suihei, Noxic and Nyx follow Cid's advice and upgrade their gummi ship to handle warp speed in order to travel to the End of the World. While slowly exploring its depths, they are continually attacked by an endless swarm of Heartless. While they eventually make their way through, they are forced deeper into Darkness by a wave brought on by Seria's mammon machine.
Realm of Darkness
• All three members of the party find themselves separated, and it's a fight against time for them to reconnect. By using their bonds with one another as a way of keeping close, the trio eventually band back together - the Kingdom Key shifts to an awakened form due to Suihei's resolve to keep her friends safe. With Neo Kingdom Key in hand, Suihei leads the charge towards where Seria awaits atop the mammon machine.
• They encounter and defeat a guardian of the Dark Realm, a Hunter in the Dark.
• After a long and grueling three part battle that constantly causes the dark realm around them to twist and contort, around them ; it is only after insurmountable challenges, being separated once more, then forced to face a mechanized, almost-city like construct with Seria fused to it, in order to defeat her, that they manage to come out as victors. Seria, long since losing her sanity to the Darkness that eroded her Heart, gives a final speech and a heartfelt apology for falling so low.
• Given the strain on two of the party member's hearts from staying in the Realm of Darkness without adequate protection, Suihei panics - fearing for Nyx's constitution while they continued to sit in the Dark Realm. Her Heart, acting for her, acted as a shield by temporarily finding home inside of Nyx.
• With the Worlds restoring themselves and the Mammon Machine struck down, the remaining Nyx and Noxic find themselves taken back to Twilight Town with Suihei's empty body as a remainder for their actions. Kept together by her will, and will alone, the slumbering girl is set in one of the pods beneath the Mansion's hidden compartments, where a process long since set aside began to slowly tug her Heart back together.
• A lingering sentiment of Lucina, having been stirred by these events, yet unable to pass on, swore to act as a guard for her descendant while her allies sought a way to pull her from her slumber faster.
• [ Blahblah, insert catchy song about things here ] Act I ; End.
0-01 NL Act 1.5
Norwin's redemption arc ; she gains a keyblade somewhere around this time by searching through the realm of darkness and encounters a mysterious figure. It'll probably eventually come out that this is Seria's Nobody, who holds some heavy regrets over what she's done when her Heart was swayed to Darkness. This information will probably never be revealed to Norwin, who'll more than likely have her suspicions. They eventually come across the existence of the Order through old notes scattered through the Dark Realm.
Noxic and Nyx in the meanwhile, are searching for a way to help Suihei's Heart back into her body. They revisit old worlds while Lucina looks over Suihei's sleeping figure in order to see how they can manage this.
Scenario ends with Norwin gaining her Keyblade, releasing Suihei's Heart from Nyx, and then going off to figure out whatever the heck is unsettling her about the notes on The Order she found.
01-02 NL ; Act 2
Twilight Town
• "Wakeup call" ; the reacclimation of Suihei's Heart to her body is finally done after an entire year of attempting to fix the process. Nyx returns to being a somewhat emotionless cat, though there appear to be shades leftover from the initial contact. Though Suihei is eager to return home and tell her mom about the adventures that she'd had with her friends, Nox and Nyx cut her short by elaborating that there's more trouble afoot. Norwin shares the news that there's an order of Light that seems to be on a crusade across the Worlds, which is threatening the natural flow through genocide. Despite her disdain at such a thought, Suihei agrees to journey the Worlds once more. Important haircut ( because it had grown for a year and it's length was just ridiculous ) and setting the stage for soulless.
• Second visit involves an encounter with a member of the Order ; Benolve who warns the trio that they're getting a mite bit too close to the truth, but nevertheless continue to serve a purpose to their mechanizations. While they manage to defeat him after a tedious battle following an ambush on his part, they're left with more questions than answers. They depart for Radiant Garden following an urgent message.
Radiant Garden
• First visit involves catching up to Lightning and co. Introduced to her younger sister, Serah, and Serah's boyfriend, Snow. The trio inform Lightning's company to keep on the lookout for any hints of the Order. Lightning drops a hint about the cavern of remembrance. After a brief scuffle with Heartless and a few Soulless, they head off to other Worlds to see if they can get any clues. This is the first canonical encounter with The upper echelon of The Order, who make a point of mocking the trio for their ineptitude.
Before they can be harmed, a mysterious figure intervenes and disappears before they can get a word of gratitude out.
• Second visit ( following Twilight Town, second visit ) involves a heavy saturation of darkness, which draws the attention of Soulless to the midst of things. After assisting the restoration committee, Norwin shows up to offer a bit of advice and insight on just what might be going on. Iustitia, leader of the Order, makes a passive note on growing closer to the Heart of pure Light that they're seeking. Revelations eventually touch base with a boy named Enlil, who just so happens to be caught up in this entire mess obliviously. He apparently has the Heart of pure Light they need to act as a conduit with six other Lights captured throughout the Order's warpath. Something something, he's a Princess of Light by any other name. Norwin has deposited him in the custody of Radiant Garden's committee for safety reasons.
• Third visit ( following third Atlantis visit ) involves several trips to the Cavern of Remembrance in order to sift through any hidden information on The Order following the conflict between Light and Dark some weeks prior on their second visit. Suihei and co. face data replicants of Organization XIII, with each carrying an encrypted message revolving around the history of The Order, as well as a quick flash of events from far earlier in the timeline. Incredibly confusing, to say the least.
• An optional visit brings Suihei face to face with Ultimecia once more ; the Witch of Time, still incensed over her last defeat, challenges the youth to singular combat, while two other copies do the same for Noxic and Nyx. Her desire for the their raw power, as well as her ambiguous comments on Compressing Time, eventually leads to a fight between her and Lightning after Suihei manages to put her all into fighting. After this, the woman disappears into a ripple of time.
Disney Castle / Timeless River
• In order to save the day, the trio travel to Disney Castle, where Duke Oswald awaits their arrival. Apparently a curse left by Maleficent several thousand of years before threatened to engulf the castle once more, and the Order, hungry as they were for power, sought the Cornerstone of Light as a method of bolstering their own forces. While they manage to break the curse, they only just barely defeat a member of The Order, Patien, following their trip into the depths of times long gone by.
The mysterious figure shows up again to congratulate the trio before passing over pertinent information revolving around the origins of the Soulless. She disappears once more.
• Optional visit involves facing an armored figure from the future ; she departs within a ripple of time, leaving a cryptic message of Suihei's strength being somewhat surprising.
Gaia (FF9)
• First visit would be akin to disk one ; Suihei, Noxic and Nyx meet Zidane and co. Get drawn into some issues involving the mist, political warfare and opportunistic agents of the Light attempting to incite Kuja into destroying the world for their own gain.
• Second visit ( following brother bear , first visit ), involves traverse through a few scenes of Gaia, an encounter with Kuja, and a rather nihilistic speech that has them all shaken. The Order ends up seizing the opportunity in which Kuja destroys the crystals to take the remaining Light from the world, leaving just enough gap for a phenomenally powerful Heartless to seep in from the Realm of Darkness. Zidane and co. handle it.
Brother Bear
work on this.
Leroy and Stitch
• Upon returning to visit their friends for the first time in a year, the trio are informed of trouble in the form of a doppelganger named Leroy. All sorts of trouble and wanton destruction - Stitch expresses his doubts, but they promise to return with some form of a clue to help them with the issues at hand.
• With another trip in mind, the trio eventually help Lilo and Stitch put a stop to Hamsterville's plot by putting on a show that caused them to short-circuit. Said Leroy(s) were subsequently imprisoned. As a mutual agreement, the trio swore to never go to a World where singing was involved to save the day again.
The Lost Empire ( Atlantis 2 )
• First visit involves, that's right - catching up. Learning that the Heart of Atlantis is still in good hands, Noxic and Nyx retrieve whatever information they can on the Order while Suihei is informed on a mysterious Kraken causing trouble on the surface. The trio assist their friends in confronting the beast. Following this, they wish their friends luck on their marriage, and warn them to not be complete strangers in case any more renegade Atlantean artifacts cause trouble.
• Second visit ( following Brother Bear, second visit ) involves traversing the World in order to follow up on more clues. They eventually find a city in Arizona filled to the brim with Soulless and wayward spirits ; this is only made more troublesome by a shop owner attempting to pillage the area with a heartless at his heels. Once cleared out from enemies, a Native American Spirit trusts Kida and co. with their information.
• Final visit involves battling beasts made of ice and fire crafted by an insane man believing himself to be the Norse God, Odin. After assisting in rescuing Kida from hm at Milo's behest, the group engages in a titanic battle that's finished with Kida's use of the ancient spear, Gungnir. After this, Atlantis is raised to the surface, and the World is brought into a new era of prosperity. Suihei and co leave immediately thereafter.
The Pride Lands ( Lion King 2 )
• Dropping in many, many years after Sora and co. have visited, Suihei ( in the form of a hyena cub, much to her displeasure ) is accosted by Simba, along with Noxic and Nyx. After a quick explanation of their reasonings behind being there, he concedes to their point and requests that they watch over his daughter, Kiara. Even if spying on two lions falling in love is totally weird, they agree to do it anyways if only because of Suihei's own budding excitement over traveling the Pride Lands. Eventually Kovu, a child of an outcasted pride, requests their assistance in saving Kiara from Heartless.
• Eventually they are drawn into a war between the Outsiders and Simba's pride - they do somehow manage to do their part in stopping it, but Kovu's mother, overtaken by the anguish of losing all three of her children, anger, hate and rage, gives in to her inner Darkness and causes a monumental Piranha-like Heartless to be born from her following her fall into a river swollen by a storm. The trio eventually defeat it with Kovu at their side, and are given the opportunity to visit the Pride Lands as they please as honored guest.
The Jungle Book
• Enlil somehow manages to get lost in the forest and is swayed by a serpent by The Order's mechanizations once again. The Order end up kidnapping him around this point, whereupon he's held as a prisoner until a retrieval mission is set up.
• Meanwhile, Suihei, Noxic and Norwin encounter Mowgli and his assortment of friends to attempt to protect the world from being swept away into Light by sealing its keyhole.

Crystal Tower / Palace of Light
• vs Caritas and Castita. Norwin accompanies the group with Enlil being saved somewhere along the line. Enlil stays behind in order to keep the machine that threatens to rend the realms at bay by keeping the Light in check.
• vs Preta. Nyx stays back in order to keep him on his toes while Norwin, Noxic and Suihei go ahead. Nyx ends up winning in a contest of magic.
• vs Industria Noxic stays behind while Norwin and Suihei run ahead to the final chamber.
• vs Iustitia everyone comes back together to kick the collective ass of Iustitia, who laments that the Keyblade may have chosen incorrectly this time around. The world ends up slowly crumbling around them, and again, its only through the timely save of Enlil, who stayed behind at the lower levels of the Crystal Tower, and they all just kind of get out of there. They return to the normal sea of Worlds, have a moment of introspection.
Secret ending / road to Act 3
• Mysterious figure is indeed revealed to be Seria, restored by her Nobody being eliminated,
• Conversation with another cloaked figure.
• Luxu reveals himself as stringing together another series of events to see how the tides of fate would continue churning. It seems that fate, or Destati, will always have a role in him seeing the World after Keyblades clash together. They discuss the metaphysics of the Keyblade, and here, the lore will probably grow a bit heavier. Since Destati is an AU, it'll be a blend of a truly mystical weapon that's incredibly rare, and something taught once someone shows potential.
• Suihei receives a note from a mysterious benefactor after attempting to return to her normal life. Norwin, Noxic and Nyx all visit at random intervals alongside Enlil, who seems to profess some sort of desire to grow stronger for the sake of helping the ones who saved him.
• The note reveals itself to be directions to the Land of Departure, wherein Norwin and Suihei are guided to discover lost notes, techniques, and skills of ancient Keyblade Masters. Using the knowledge she gleaned from her own training, they both attempt to attain mastery, unaware of the chess scheme going along in the background.
Spoiler ShowGENERAL QUESTIONS
How does she have the Keyblade? What is her mastery of it?
+ This is actually a question that's been on my mind for the longest time. How does Suihei get the Keyblade, if there are neither bearers, nor wielders by the time that she's born? The answer lies in a if you squint you'll miss it sort of thing. Backstory wise, around , the realms were in a complete state of Light ; there was no Darkness to speak of. Only a golden age that heralded a stretch of peace for the Realm of Light.
+ When Seria began her experiments following Xehanort's notes and constructing the Mammon Machine in an attempt to pierce through the barriers between both the Realm of Light, the Realm-Between, and the Realm of Darkness, the Worlds themselves began to seek out a new champion in an attempt to rectify the issue. Suihei was marked for the potential to wield the Keyblade at the age of seven or so, if only because she holds a Heart that resonated with the needs of the Realms. She only Awakened a few days prior to Twilight Town being swallowed by Darkness, and Summoned it on that night of fate when she prayed for anything to help her fight the Heartless.
+ Basically, she's a rare case of not requiring a Master to get a Keyblade, for the Keyblade chose her itself over the course of her journey. If she hadn't proven herself worthy of bearing it, then it would've never returned to her again once the Balance returned to the status quo.
What is her connection to Sora?
+ Apparently, plenty of people have presumed that Suihei is either a direct descendant of Sora, some several thousand years down the line ( based on minor personality quirks, her Act 2 attire, the similar circumstances ), or oddly enough a Replica project. While either would certainly make for an entertaining scenario, neither are true. The actual answer ( both long, and short ) is that she bears Sora's will. What does that entail? At its core, it's a superficial attachment, a glossy way of saying 'she holds the ability to connect Hearts, not unlike Sora. Beyond these remarkable similarities, they have little to no connection with one another. While Sora fights for his friends and an opportunity for people to be their own person, Suihei holds a more family-oriented personality, and ( at least initially ) carried a conflicting set of emotions towards helping others.
Does her trio have a name?
Like the 'Organization trio' the 'Island Trio' and the 'Wayfinder Trio', Suihei's group ( consisting of herself, Noxic, and Nyx ) does have a name. We just haven't come up with one yet. However, they do follow the theme of ' Light ( Suihei ), Darkness ( Noxic ), and Mu, or Nothing ( Nyx )'. They also follow the thematic element of 'Twilight' when all three are put together, the theme of 'Nothing' and 'Something' when comparing their state of existence, the 'Heart' ( Suihei ) , 'Body' ( Noxic ) , and 'Soul' ( Nyx ) when glancing at the most relevant traits of their personage.
So with all these themes, it's kinda hard to decide, haha-
What about their actual names? Do those follow a theme?
+ Of course! It's actually pretty interesting, from what I can understand. Her full name is actually Suiheisen, written as 水平線 - when translated, I do believe that it means 'Horizon', as does the word Chiheisen. The difference between the two, however, is 'Suiheisen' is, in particular, the Horizon one would get when facing the water, and Chiheisen would be the Horizon one would get when facing the land. The Horizon is where the 'Earth', 'Ocean', and 'Sky', meet, which plays into the naming theme that seems to be popular amongst a few of the trios in Kingdom Hearts.
+ Nyx is the primordial goddess of Night in Grecian Mythology, said to be so beautiful and powerful, that even Zeus feared her - I have no idea why he chose that name. Noir is a genre of crime film or fiction characterized by cynicism, fatalism, and moral ambiguity. From what I can glean, Nyx deals with both moral ambiguity as a Nobody, and, as a Somebody, held an incredibly fatalistic view on things. If we wanted to glamorize the name, it would loosely play along the theme of 'A crime of the night', possibly alluding to his nature as a Somebody. Once again, this is all speculation, so don't mind me.
+ However, Noxic is derived from the Latin word 'Nox', which also translates into 'Night'. From what I can understand, Nox revolves around the theme having a little 'light' remaining in his Heart that he clings onto with an almost religious fervor. A quote by his own lips is - ‘I will love the Light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the Darkness for it shows me the stars.’ - which plays along with both himself, as a character, and toys around with the motif of stars, the Light in the deepest Darkness, and the fact that not all things that come from the Darkness are necessarily evil.
How does she visit Worlds with immediate sequels if Sora has already been there?
+ This question is one that actually gave me a few headscratchers. On the off chance that you didn't know, Suihei, Noxic, and Nyx end up visiting the Pride Lands somewhere along the lines of their second adventure as a group - and, on the other end of the spectrum, meet with Merlin in a world based on 'Sword and the Stone'. How is this possible, if Sora has already met these people, or have visited the inhabitants of these Worlds? Wouldn't they see a resemblance, or recognize the Keyblade? The simple explanation that I came up with would be... that time, in different Worlds, flow differently. They may have a similar flow, but some Worlds move on a faster or slower stream than the rest. This would explain the technological differences in many Worlds, ie ; original worlds in comparison to the worlds based on Disney. My general rule of thumb, however, is that Worlds not based on Disney properties ( ie ; Destiny Islands / Radiant Garden / Twilight Town / Land of Departure ) all flow on the same branch of time. 1000 years can be 4, in another World, and 4 years can be several thousand to others. I actually have no idea if that's canon compliant, though-
How did she, Noxic, and Nyx meet?
+ I believe that I briefly covered it in the timeline ; which is- spoileriffic, so I may get tuck that away sooner, rather than later. A basic explanation would be that, they quite literally ran into one another in Twilight Town. Suihei, exploring the Second District to both get a feel of the Keyblade, and refine her rusty swordplay skills, ended up attracting a lot more than she could chew. Nyx, being the anomaly that he is, attracted Heartless attempting to return the empty vessel that was his body back to the Dark- and Noxic, having a Heart on the cusp of Darkness, had Heartless attempting to snuff out the last bit of light that remained. You could say it was fate, or you could say it was luck, but either way, the three of them ended up banding together in order to fend off both a swarm of Heartless, and a Guard Armor. Stereotypical, I know. They eventually decided that it was for the best to travel with one another once Noxic and Nyx learned of Suihei having a gummi ship in the process of being repaired, lined up. I could go into a lot more detail about how they didn't trust one another at first, and how they really grated on the other's nerves, but that's entirely speculation. 'w'
Which Final Fantasy character is she closest to?
Of the few Final Fantasy characters that she knows ( Lightning, Vincent, Balthier ( and co ) , Rydia, Vanille, Serah, Celes and Terra ) - along with the denizens of Gaia ( FF9 World ), Suihei would have to say that she's closest to Rydia, followed shortly by Vanille and Serah. She finds all three of their demeanors to be pleasant enough to be around.
What's up with Ultimecia?
+ She's a Sorceress that desires power, and the Keyblade is a known shortcut to power. Like Sora's encounter with Sephiroth, Suihei originally met her in Olympus Coliseum, where she attempted to draw the young woman into a plot involving a compression of time to crash all the Worlds into a state of stasis. This, along with her desire to absorb all of the power of incredible mages across the Worlds, caused her to lock her sights on Suihei, no matter how briefly.
I actually alluded to her hailing from a World of 's creation, the Isles of Eden, in that character sheet.
Who is Duke Oswald?
+ Distant nobility of Disney Castle ( Mickey's brother, if you have to know ), the former Mayor of Disney Town, and the current defender of the Wasteland. He was formerly a candidate of apprenticeship beneath Yen Sid, but got trapped in the Wasteland and was forgotten over time. Because of this, he was initially embittered. Suihei, Noxic, and Nyx eventually assisted him ( along with a younger Mickey, though neither had a clue ) in reclaiming, and repairing the Wasteland to its natural state. Occassionaly he provides assistance to Suihei by way of charm, but otherwise remains in his own World.
Her favorite adventure?
+ She holds a fondness for her adventures in Atlantis, with Kida and Milo. However, she's generally had nothing unpleasant to say about most of her adventures across the Worlds. She's greatly enjoyed making friends and growing as a person along the way, anyhow.
Would Time Travel be an option?
Dubious at best ; with the revelation of the Book of Prophecy, however, it has come up once or twice in conversations between a friend and I. The armored figure that she eventually faces, does, in fact, hail from the future, and the Book of Prophecy did in fact, play a role in that clash. But if you mean traveling back to the past to interact with Sora and co. No. Never outside of Roleplay-
I've heard Seria mentioned a few times, who is she? Does she have any connection to Xehanort?
Seria is the primary antagonist of Act I ; a former scientist from Radiant Garden, who wished to delve into the secrets of the Heart, Keys, and knowledge of the 'Promised Land', Kingdom Hearts, with the assistance of her close friend, and questionably-questionable lover. She has no connection to Xehanort beyond using his notes as the basis of her thesis, and eventually created a Machine meant to pierce through the realms, known as the Mammon Machine, in an attempt to dig into Kingdom Hearts to find the Heart of the one she cared for most. While her motives are meant to be sympathetic, her lack of control, callous disregard for life ( ie ; she refers to Noxic as a Puppet / Failure ) and intense bitterness is meant to be a lasting mark of the character. Her fate at the end of Act I is left suspended in the air, though Noxic, Nyx, and Suihei believed that she was engulfed by the deepest depths of Darkness.
How did Suihei's body remain in a state of sleep, if her Heart went into Nyx?
It was a sort of temporary thing. Look at Kairi and Sora, or Ventus and Sora for a template of this. Because her Heart was not swallowed by Darkness ( though it was tainted by it when it was briefly exposed to saturation of Darkness in the Realm of Darkness ), she did not create a Nobody, nor became a Heartless. Think of it as comatose - the abrupt leap from one vessel to another caused her memories to be scattered all over the place, and required a year of sleep to both find a solution beneath the guidance of a mysterious benefactor known as Lucina. This meant that her memories were slowly filtered back in, and her Heart slowly returned back to her body, Suihei's "soul" was left in a Virtual Reality until they could find a way to remove her Heart from Nyx's body.
On The 'Age of Fairytales' Saga ;
And who is Lucina? What is her role in all of this?
Lucina is a very, very distant ancestor of Suihei, one of the original inhabitants of The World ( known as Daybreak Town ) and a veteran of the Keyblade Wars. A brilliant scientist, she was originally an apprentice of Eamon, but gathered an opposing view of his when he attempted to seize the power of Kingdom Hearts and overflow the realm with Darkness. She was a member of the Unicornis Faction, and The Order of Light, and her spirit remains in the mansion of Twilight Town, dormant for many, many years. She only briefly stirred to stand guard over Suihei's slumbering body in the one year she slept whilst Noxic and Nyx were off attempting to get a solution to removing her Heart from Nyx's body without the Keyblade.
What about Sousei?
Sousei ( despite the name and all ) is merely a Keyblade wielder that hailed from Daybreak Town, and formerly Lucina's best friend / love interest. He perished in the Final Battle of the Keyblade War that fractured the World as it was, and turned Daybreak Town into the Keyblade Graveyard as a result of this final conflict. Unlike Lucina, he was a part of the Leopardis Faction.
And who the heck Eamon?
Prior to discovering the 'Xehanort is a reincarnation of the sixth Foreteller' incident, I'd come up with something along a similar vein. 'Eamon' is an entity that played a major role in the First Keyblade War, and is an anagram of 'No Name', sans the extra 'N'. Originally I contemplated making him someone that regularly jacked bodies, and eventually stole the body of a young Xehanort in an attempt to catalyze a second Keyblade War. It should be noted that this is a really bad theory, and will more than likely be revised some day in the future.
What are Soulless? And what is the Order of Light?
Answered the first in the Timeline ;
+ Nearly 1950 years prior to the start of Destati, Keybearers began to go on a rapid decline. The apprentices of the Keyblade Masters that helped fend Xehanort off proved remarkably inadequate in providing proper protection to the Land of Departure ( restored by Aqua ), and their apprentices brewed with infighting, candidates never undergoing the process of Awakening, and the overall number of Keybearers going on a rapid decline. The Scientists of Radiant Garden, seeking alternatives to the ever-rarer Keybearer, looked to the Legends surrounding the χBlade in order to garner some form of a solution in defending themselves from the forces of Darkness. At the annotations born from the Seven Princesses of Heart, they attempt to create artificial beings of Pure Light. These beings lack the Souls, which provide the 'logical', 'thoughtful' reasoning behind the otherwise wild emotions of the Heart. Thus, the Soulless, artificial beings born of pure Light, are born from this attempt.
+ The Order of Light ( not to be mistaken for the original Order of Light following the Keyblade War ) are seven Soulless that sit at the upper echelon of control when it comes to the Soulless. They are artificial beings meant to originally act as a failsafe in case the remaining Keybearers died, but somewhere along the process of their creation, they became defunct and incredibly zealous towards entities with darkness in their Hearts. Unfortunately this accounted for nearly every person in the known Multiverse.
The members are as follows ;
1 ; Iustitia- The original Soulless, and the de facto Leader of The Order of Light. He holds an incredible grasp over Light, swordplay, and ethereal weapons constructed from scouring force. His serving Soulless are Paladins, and Juggernaut.
2 ; Industria - Second in command ; he fights with a sword and shield. His serving Soulless are Crusaders.
3 ; Preta - Third in command ; he holds an incredible grasp on Magic, and acts as the tactician of The Order. His weapon of choice is a lance. His serving Soulless are Acolytes, who share a similar ability in turning invisible, and creating replicas.
4 ; Castita - A female assassin that utilizes handguns. Her serving soulless are Zealots. An incredibly fast subvariant of Fanatic that warp around the battlefield to perform sneak attacks. She is often partnered with Caritas.
5 ; Caritas - A female Soulless that utilizes martial arts. Her weapons are gauntlets and greaves. Her serving Soulless are Fanatics, Soulless that prove remarkably adept at using their cumbersome greaves to cause significant damage, along with bursts of Light and thunder. She is often partnered with Castita.
6 ; Patien - A Soulless that utilizes Chakram and Holy fires in order to surround, and incinerate targets. His serving Soulless are Bishops, which are creature that frequently sink into the ground and grasp targets so Patien can gather easier kills.
7 ; Benevole - Scout, and weakest of The Order. He fights with a whip. He guides the peculiar Martyr, which serves no direct purpose beyond sacrificing itself to call forward more allies, and Prism, the most basic of Soulless.
