In the new high quality trailer to KH3D, where Xemnas and Ansem appear for Riku and Sora, if you look very closely when they zoom in on Ansem's face, you can see Xemna's hair behind him. You can also see Ansem's hair behind Xemnas when they zoom in on his face as well. Is this supposed to mean something?

It's at about 1:58 and 2:05 for Ansem, and 2:03 and 2:06 for Xemnas.

That little scenery play was probably to illustrate how they're parts of one whole.

Maybe it is just a gimmick that has to do with 3D's alternating fighting system. They are both there at the same time, but not physically.

It has something to do with the battle system (Sora and Riku don't have the same bosses and since the game randomly switches between the two, it is more than likely the bosses switch as well), and can also represent how A:SoD and Xemnas together are Xehanort.

I'm not so sold on Eraser Rain's idea though...

Hasn't this been brought up in several other threads?

It's been speculated that Xemnas and Ansem may just be holograms or something for Sora and Riku to fight and that perhaps Sora and Riku are in the same place, but don't really know it.

I think that maybe it is two versions of the same cutscene, depending on which hero you were playing as before the cutscene. Since the player is apparently forced to switch between Sora and Riku every so often, it's possible that there are different versions of scenes depending on who you are playing. Furthermore, I think that the villain in the scene is both Xemnas and Ansem together (Xehanort is supposed to be reformed, after all), but Sora mostly sees Xemnas and Riku mostly sees Ansem, since those are who they both hate the most.

Honestly, i didn't notice about that xD Until there is a thread about it.

At first, people speculated that Riku & Sora we're fighting each other (thinking that their fighting Ansem & Xemnas respectively), but after Nomura said that you will be forcibly switched between Riku & Sora, people started speculating that the boss changes as well. So Riku vs Ansem, and Sora vs Xemnas, which can happen IN THE MIDDLE of the fight.
