What if we get to see a FF character in the Olympus world? If Toy Story had a a summon hopefully the players who pick Olympus get something as well.

So only one of them can be played?

My line of thinking is that the summons we have seen so far (examples:Ariel and Dream Eaters) already have ties to Sora’s heart. I am almost certain that before Ralph can be a summon, he has to have some prior contact with Sora. As of now, I don’t know if they’ll do something weird with KHUx to make Ralph relevant or make a WiR world in KH3. I hope for the latter:

I don't think so, both KH games with summons had those related to Sora (Genie, Tinker Bell/Peter Pan) and those completely new and unrelated, just along for the ride.
To me Ralph is the perfect new "Chicken Little" in that regard, a summon truly is the best way to feature him in my opinion.

At least maybe now we'll get a break from all the theories about Sora in a world where he's aware of being in a videogame.
So yeah, I'm still hoping it's not an actual world.

They were pretty clear on that subject. She definitely is a goddess by the end of the trilogy, so I could totally see her there. Especially since she's an Ascended kind of deity, mortal first before obtaining deific grace. In my opinion, that's a perfect compliment to Hercules who, despite his divine blood, still had to earn his godhood.

I thought by the end of the trilogy she was a regular human in the French countryside? And that during the XIII series she was just a pawn to the Gods/Goddesses.

It has also been a long time since I played the trash of XIII / XIII-2 (LR is my precious though) so I had forgotten if she had fully attained Goddess status.

Less Disney Worlds than KH2, specifically, which had like 12 Disney worlds? I believe KH1 had 10, and he didn't say less than KH1 so the range would be 10-11 Disney worlds I would think.

Yes there were 12 Disney Worlds in the Game (Minus the Minigame Worlds: Atlantica and 100 Acre Wood) (Land of Dragons, Beast's Castle, Olympus Coliseum, Disney Castle (Which is a Half Disney Half Original World according to DMLX Gaming and TheGamersJoint))/Timeless River, Port Royal, Agrabah, Halloween Town, Pride Lands and Space Paranoids) then KH1/COM Had (Wonderland, Olympus Coliseum, Deep Jungle (Later Removed from COM/Re:COM), 100 Acre Wood (Within Traverse Town), Agrabah, Monstro, Halloween Town, Atlantica and Neverland) 358/2 Days only had 5 Disney Worlds BBS had 8 (If you include the Mysterious Tower), Re: Coded Only have 4 in the Datascape and DDD only had 5 so yeah maybe 10-11 could be the range of Disney Worlds we could get (Since Wreck-it-Ralph is going to be a summon and not get a World) so...

I always wanted for KH3 that on Mt. Olympus that the Gods would each have a champion (that being a Final Fantasy summon or character) and Sora would fight against them.

This is actually my jam so I can basically explain anything in the sub-series to you. And also yes, Lightning Returns is my precious.

In XIII-2, Lightning took on a role protecting the Goddess of Death, Etro. Etro had exhausted herself intervening in an almost cataclysmic event, so Lightning accepted divine powers to protect her when she realized Etro was good, unlike the "gods" from the first game. In this iteration she's sort of a Valkyrie; a demi-god, or an avenging angel. She is divine, but not a Divinity of that makes sense.

In LR, if you do certain questlines in the Wildlands you find out that she inherited something called "Etro's Grace". Essentially, whatever divine spark Etro still had when she died was transferred to Lightning. In this way, she is sort of like Hercules; possessed of a divine inheritance that does not make her a God outright, but gives her the potential.

It is implied by the game that this is the reason Bhunivelze chose Lightning to be the "savior". He knew his new world would need a god of the dead, it was a necessary component to reality. Far easier to make said God from a woman who had already inherited the previous deity's essence than start with a random mortal, basically. By the end of LR, Lightning had been forged into a Goddess of Death far more powerful than he expected.

And ah yes, the epilogue. In a post release interview, the director for the game confirmed that although they obviously used Earth and our solar system as the model, the planet shown is intended to be "Earth-like", and not necessarily Earth itself. There is a Japan only novel that explores what happens leading up to Lightning stepping off that train, and they were careful not to refer to any nations or locations by name specifically so the viewer can make the choice of whether she's on Earth or not. However, the novel ALSO reveals that some people have memories from the previous universe and this includes the main party members of the trilogy. The MC of the novel is a reporter trying to track down Lightning because she remembers her saving the world, and she meets each of the XIII/XIII-2 main cast in the process. They keep their dialogue somewhat secretive and vague, but confirm that Lightning doesn't want to be found because she doesn't want to effectively have to start solving the world's problems again.

TLDR; She is implied to have her powers from the end of LR even in the epilogue, but during the entirety of LR she is a goddess.


She would work really well in Olympus alongside Hercules imo. OR if they took her story about saving Souls from Chaos as being saving Hearts from Darkness, she could be wandering around various worlds with the Hearts of her loved ones in tow, searching for a new world for them to live. Like Traverse Town, but a person.

I agree with you when you say the disney worlds where filler but It is nice to see worlds that we like coming to life in the game so... lol

I don't know why everyone is so angry and get like annoyed when people say they want more worlds.

It is not like i'm saying I will hate the game, I will pretty much love this and I think it will be the best game in the franchise.

For me, I find it mildly annoying because game development is complex. Seeing them take the time to make the worlds fully fleshed out instead of a cardboard cutout of the original, all with unique and interesting mechanics, is much more exciting to me because I'm a substance over style kind of guy. Less worlds = more time to dedicate to unique mechanics and stories. Not mindless, passionless asset building and filler-writing.

Surprised leaks came so soon, but what I saw looked interesting. Wreck-It-Ralph makes an appearance. Looks like he's a summon or his world is tied to Toy Story, much like Tron and Radiant Garden/Hollow Bastion in KH2. Also, that blue-haired character looks interesting. Can't tell if it's a doll or an original character. The hair looks like a Nomura design, but I could be wrong. Anyway, can't wait for the embargo to lift tomorrow, looking forward to seeing what comes of it.

I'm late but I just got spoiled too lol. Y'all already said most of it, but Ralph is definitely a summon which I am fine with. I still got super excited to see him involved at all. And yeah, I guess I think its the UX world, and not in KH3. At the very least, the latter is definitely true imo. I think some of you are reaching just to get it in the game...like I get it, its a wonderful movie with great unique settings and I now desperately hope it will be in the game after this (as long as it uses the same engine, pls), but for now this opens us up to more unique choices I think? Like out of the box stuff. I hope anyway.

That blue haired person is almost certainly an original doll character made for the game, we knew they would be making up brands and stuff to fill in the licensed characters. Though...I feel dumb for realizing now that Potato Head is licensed so we probably won't see him or the Mrs at all. Makes me worried about the chances of seeing Jessie and Bullseye...dunno why they wouldn't do them other than to cut on voice acting...but then why didn't you ditch Sarge or something lol.

Oh, and its nice to see the names of the worlds presumably, both are rather plain so I hope the logos are rad. I wonder if the people playing got to see the logos? Its something I have been missing.

I'm really annoyed that someone ended up leaking out this information after all. We were going to get all this tomorrow, so it just feels pointless that it even happened.

That said, I love everything that was leaked. The game looks gorgeous, and I love little details like the Pizza Planet car. I was one of the people who didn't think that Wreck-It Ralph would be in the game in any form, so I am super surprised to see him as a summon. It definitely caught me off guard, and i'm happy about that. It'll be even more surprising if Sugar Rush/Fix-It Felix Jr. ends up being the UX world too, though I can't deny that I am a little disappointed (I was really hoping it would be Pocahontas, even though the chances were never high). Still it's really exciting regardless, and I can't wait to hopefully see some gameplay with Shimomura's music!
