Ok, I had to get an apk because global apparently doesn't include NZ. Getting loads of connection issues. Did the tutorial pulls until I got Rapunzel.

Sora could be dropped into this game and it would fit the story perfectly. It wouldn't even need to be a collab, the entire conceit is that we're fixing video game worlds.

Hitting FFBE notes for me, which is good since that game has been EoS'd.

I got 3* Judy Hopps on the tutorial roll and I rolled twice and got a 3* Maleficent. I think I'm fine with this roster, until they add Sora.

It drained my phone battery something chronic though, and this is a brand new iPhone 15 Pro Max. I should look at the game settings and see if there's something I can change so it's less demanding.

They were explaining data IDs to Maleficent and I thought "this is what Coded should have been in 2008. It was too ahead of its time"

Yeah, same, I think I'm going to hoard gems until there's a KH collab.

And yeah, it tore through my battery, though I have an older phone at this point, so I wasn't expecting anything different.

Shades of coded, to be sure! It's actually a little bit wild how close this game is to KH in several different angles without actually being KH.

This game reminds me of what I'd have imgined a Square/Disney collaboration to look like in the first place: a 2D FF game with Disney characters acting in FF roles. Like Mickey/Donald/Goofy/Minnie as 4 warriors of light, Evil Queen in the emperor role, Maleficent as the backstabbing court mage, hook and Shan Yu as commanders of the Queen's army, Chernabog as the surprise last minute final boss. And so forth.

Were I more adept at making custom sprites, I probably would've tried making it myself in RPG Maker years ago. (Maybe the ones from this game will be ripped?)

Mobile as always is the great monkey's paw of gaming. Instead of getting a proper single player 20 hour RPG, it's gotta be an endless gotcha game that'll abruptly end one day.

I love the aggressive use of "game worlds" in the game description. These are not REAL worlds!!! Peter Pan isn't truly being drafted into war!! It's just the GAME WORLD!!!!

From a couple hours of playing up to chapter 3, it's a very simple game. The gacha is with unlocking characters (and gems don't seem to be in decent supply), you can get one 3* character and easily level them up to over level 20 and they can steamroll nearly all battles on a game level.

Stamina goes quickly, and it seems to be at a locked 50 (you use up 5 stamina for main quests in the first world, 6 stamina in the second world, 10 for special quests etc.) There's also not a lot to do outside of the main story and a handful of special quests.

I think it's cute how the characters are suppose to be from different styles of games, but it's a shame we don't get to experience those different styles. I get it's a lot of work to program a stealth game as well as a mini-game world, but they've presented all of these unique styles and then it's just the same autopilot battle.

I haven't been able to get it to even run on my phone. I'm seeing this mentioned in reviews on the PlayStation store (android user BTW) but did anyone here had the problem?

Like Disney Infinity with them all being toys of Disney characters and not the real deals. Wonder how much milage KH could've gotten had they tried something similar. ('course DI was still restricted in what characters could be in what modes, which disappointed many)

So far, it's just your basic run of the mill gacha. The sprite art is cool. The story's kinda dull for me so far, there's obviously not any interesting collabs yet.

Like I said above, I'm happy to play occasionally to hoard gems for any potential KH collab, but would I be playing this game if I couldn't get Aurora with a sword? Probably not.

Give it a try, anyway. It's not too big.
