acoustic/electric guitar, bass (kinda, basically dumbed down guitar), piano, and learning drums.
basically im trying to learn enough instruments to record my own songs so i can audition band members, as oppose to trying to write with a bunch off ADD little firetrucks lol
I disagree with your'e statement that's about the bass guitar. Yes it is easier to play but the bass isn't a dumbed out guitar. It's a totally different instrument.
And I also play the acoustic/electric guitar, I currently have five instruments. This pretty much makes me the go to guy in my band[
for whenever somebody loses their instrument]. I also clean, wax, tune, re-string, and adjust the action on all of my instruments.
My first guitar was from my dad/step-mom, it was a present for my 6th birthday. I used to play it all the time, but my amp broke. So I stopped playing guitar (stupid reason right?). Though I use it now, along with the original amp (that the local music store was able to fix), and a new one.
Then when I was eleven (two years back), my mom gave a Yamaha acoustic that I use to this day. Though I kinda want an electric/acoustic guitar.
The Dean Custom Zone is the guitar that I use for everything. It's well rounded (though it works best with blues) and can make clean cut tones. I got this guitar last Christmas and it is my favorite. But it can get scratched real easily.
Also; I have a left-handed Fender that I got from my brother. And an Ibanez bass from my step-brother.

Remember when I said, I wanted an electric/acoustic; well this is the preferred model:
It's called the Ovation Applause, my local music store is willing to sell it to me for 50$ off the regular price.
But what is a guitarist without a distortion pedal?
I'm currently saving up money for this distortion peal (it's called the Jemini).
