Wow waa theor anythong you did like about BBS?

I suppose id like for a ton of new worlds, preferably Pixar ones.

Soundtrack, GRAFICS, Zackers, ability synthesis was fun albeit a direct lift from Crisis Core.

Also I'd like to respond to you all in regards to my comments but I'm pretty busy today. Sorry!

Too late.

She's too far gone, too much of a joke, to rise from anything at this point, which is a crying shame.

As much as I would prefer Maleficent to rise up again, I agree with you. She's become too much like Pete was initially when he showed up in KH2. She's not a bumbling idiot, but we can't take Maleficent seriously anymore. If we saw her being dealt with by another Disney villain (such as, say, THE HORNED KING) in epic fashion, and for that villain to take her place with a more sinister agenda, then I would say that she served her purpose well.

lol you mean your still sour right?

Nope, salty; pretty much means the same thing.

I dunno if malificent has fallen that far if they can, revive her in KH3 and make her pwn as one of the hardest darkest and most kickass boss, without any bull, then yeah she may just come back to us.

Doubt it. She had her chance in BBS to be as menacing as she actually is in the movie, but nope; nothing overtly threatening or sinister about her at all―she doesn't have that presence, and probably never will. Maybe she'll rise from the slumps, but I won't hold my breath. I just can't take her seriously.

The moment Riku dealt with her in the first KH is when I was starting to scratch my head thinking, "You were intimidating once―what happened?" Her antics in KH2 just solidified her as a joke to me.

I'd much prefer it if the Horned King took her place, he's far more frightening. Give him control over Chernabog for added effect.

Tiny bit of background info before this post. I'm twenty and I've got a twin sister. She hadn't seen The Black Cauldron before, but I told her that it was great and that she should watch it on Youtube.

A few minutes later I was in my room next to hers, and I hear, "Holy Shit!" coming from her room. I go, "What is it?" She replies almost hysterically, "The Horned King! He's freaking EVIL and looks and sounds TERRIFYING!!"

I want Riku to get the girl

Who?―Kairi? Nah, he can do better.

Haha, cute. <3

His voice is indeed godly; like, Bill Zane levels of godliness.

John Hurt did an excellent, excellent job voicing him. Would be dope if―once in possession of the black cauldron―he would go to the keyblade graveyard and resurrect the fallen keybearers like the Cauldron Born. Imagine the hysteria and carnage that would cause. :D

Does Riku have to have a girl? And say he does...could the girl be somewhere between Kairi and Aqua's level of fighting skills/ability to take care of herself without being emotionally emo in the process? I am sick of Riku tending to female archetypes that are in such extremes.

Seeing the Horned King replace Malificent would be lovely. But why would he rise to become a primary Disney antagonist? Like a legit reason. "He's bada**" doesn't cover it for me. He needs a reason to leave his world, and since his main focus was always the Black Cauldron, that should tie into the Kingdom Hearts world somehow.

Good question. Well, the guy has a massive God complex and lust for power; his whole reason for obtaining the black cauldron was to attain power which'll enable him to be "a god among mortal men." Say the black cauldron wasn't enough for him or that he wanted power to rule all worlds―perhaps he caught wind of the whole Kingdom Hearts ordeal or perhaps someone specifically told him about it.

Maleficent could tell him, and instead of helping her, he goes about seeking Kingdom Hearts himself. Thinking about, he could be a separate threat altogether, not necessarily disposing/replacing Maleficent. (I can already see the problems that could arise from this, but damn―it's the Horned King! He deserves to be a big baddy―his character demands it) :/

That thing that tells you to "defeat Xehanort!" when the only possible conclusion one could arrive at seeing Xehanort charge at you with his weapon is "defeat xehanort?" YES.

You reminded me that thing was there, and I have no damn clue why they would put it there, there are maybe 1-2 fights in the whole game that the thing ends up being remotely, situationally useful.

Honestly, I like that thing. It clearly states your objective and is a better set-up than "oh, the cut-scene ended, now I'm suddenly running around trying to do something."

I heard you can take it out in BBS (didn't play much of it).

But yes, it really is an insult to intelligence when it shows up, and all you have to do is defeat Heartless/the boss.

:/ You sound like an angsty teenager. Squenix isn't trying to insult your intelligence by putting your objective at the top of the screen whenever there is an objective to fulfill.

Besides, that bar is not difficult to ignore. Through a lot of BBS, if I was wrapped up in the action, I would just not pay attention to the bar since I knew what to do already. It's pretty easy to just ignore it.

His voice is indeed godly; like, Bill Zane levels of godliness.

OH MY GOD.

I really want this. That would be incredibly epic. I could see the Horned King doing this sort of mid-game, and then the other half of the game could be Sora trying to kill a bunch of old Keybladers who scattered into various other worlds. It could be like KH2's world-revisting fiesta, done correctly.

But whatever the case, a Disney villain impacting multiple unrelated worlds sounds great to me. That's what KH and BBS did correctly. Especially with such an awesome villain.

I was specifically referring to the remaining games in the Xehanort Saga. I don't see any real need for Riku to get a girl, especially because his own identity/character development isn't done yet. (He still needs to be reconnected with Terra and get some more confidence into him so he know that his darkness won't come back and bite him in the a**).

But you think he really needs a girl in general? I'm kind of partial to him being the lone wolf, to be honest. Perhaps it's because creating an original girl that would be in something of a romantic relationship with Riku isn't something that I trust Square Eenix to do.

Oh, there's no denying that the Horned King needs a very nice part in Kingdom Hearts. And is Malificent officially gone? I'm aware there was some data form of her to fight in Re: Coded (haven't played the game, don't have the $$ to get the right console). Because if she isn't, maybe there is some way they could transition from her to the Horned King....nah, just nicely insert the Horned King. Malificent's been ruined enough as is.

Yes. Nicely put.

Throw the Heartless in the mix and you have recipe for large-scale chaos. And if he ever encounters Xehanort―that right there could be the stuff of legends. Imagine a clash between those two; they don't even necessarily have to fight, the encounter between two hostile forces exchanging words would suffice and get a lot of "oh shit" reactions from me.

But you think he really needs a girl in general? I'm kind of partial to him being the lone wolf, to be honest. Perhaps it's because creating an original girl that would be in something of a romantic relationship with Riku isn't something that I trust Square Eenix to do.

Truthfully, neither would I.

But the guy needs some happiness. To quote a [really good] movie, "Everyone needs a co-pilot." To be solitary is not an easy thing to do. That being said, he doesn't need to be in a relationship to find happiness―his camaraderie with Sora is good enough―but the thought of him having a girl by his side isn't so bad either. So to answer your question, no, he doesn't need to a girl

I'm not too keen on her situation, honestly. From what I'm told, she did manage to escape the data world somehow―barely. And not a f*ck was given. Seriously. lol

Horned King, please. :3

D-Riku saved her and Pete at the last minute and pretty much escorted them out of the datascape. And it was actually the real Maleficent you could fight in Re:coded, not a copy.

Funny thing is, Maleficent and Pete were actually able to insert themselves into the data realm and attempted to take it over, only to be thwarted and nearly killed before they were sent back out somewheres by King Mickey, or Data Riku, I really couldn't care who did it. But the fact that she's almost died and has died three times now has really just convinced me that the 'Mistress of all Evil' has become the butt of Sora's jokes unless somehow she's able to kick the evil up to eleven.

Enter Horned King. That above idea about him using the Black Cauldron to resurect the Keyblade Wielders who died during the Keyblade War, I'm taking it. I have been wondering about what the Horned King was actually going to do after I knocked off Maleficent myself, and now I have an answer. So if anybody reads my series, expect that later on.

Still, awesome idea for how the Horned King could come in with plot significance. Or he could just show up, trash-talk Maleficent because of how bad she was being at being evil, have a magical duel that he promptly trumps her at, and takes over before beginning anew his search for the Black Cauldron, which has been hidden in a world that is not Prydain. Such as, say, Radiant Garden or Destiny Islands or maybe even the Keyblade Graveyard itself.

I'm all for his inclusion but no one controls Chernabog.

I can imagine a scenario where Mr. Horned could get a place in the KH world, in the process destroying / removing Maleficent from the Immediate area, but there is a few problem.
1. his voice actor, i cant remember how long ago it was but i'm pretty sure its a good couple of years old Squenix will want a new voice actor which could be for better or worse.
2. Maleficent is bound to return if only to get revenge on The Horned King (probably enlisting either Soras or Rikus help)
3. Squenix already screwed Maleficent up, who says they wouldnt do it again with The Horned King?

Mr. John Hurt is still alive and kicking at 70 and can probably still rock a Horned King voice. They got Leonard Nimoy to do Xehanort, and he's 80 now, and Mark Hamill is closing on 60. Disney and Square aren't afraid to get old guys to do their voice acting. Nimoy also voiced the king in Atlantis: The Lost Empire, remember?

Yeah, the voice actor's ages shouldn't be much of a problem (which makes it so much more of a tragedy that Frollo's original voice actor is gone - I can't believe he died!).

Here's a random idea: Malificent seeks for reconquest, but looks to get new minions. The Horned King is among them (she can probably resurrect him). The Horned King then overthrows her. He kills her, sends her back to Enchanted Dominion - doesn't matter. But he overthrows her.

And I love the idea that the Black Cauldron isn't in the original world - or maybe the events of the movie cause the cauldron to be thrown out of the world? I'm a bit rusty on the ending of that movie.

And The Horned King has to have other Disney Minions - threatening ones to, not one that can be clobbered over and over again like Pete. The villain interaction was one of the things I loved the most about KH1. What about Facilier? The Horned King is pretty much a supernatural dark being - he could be one of Facilier's "friends on the other side."

Might be a bit early to include Princess and the Frog in this, but Facilier would be a great addition to the Villain Squad. I know that I recently did a chapter in my fanfic involving Princess and the Frog, and I got a number of reviews from people wondering what the world I was going on about was. But that could just be the older generation not going out to see new Disney movies for some reason.

If he gets himself a Villain Team, Hades has to be on it, because he's Hades and he's really just in it for kicks anyway. Facilier/Shadow Man would work. I couldn't stand another shot at Oogie Boogie because I think we're done with Nightmare. Who else could we count on to be a Villain that hasn't already been dealt with? Shere Khan, Commander Rourke (though he wouldn't exactly have been counted as a Villain just like Clayton), Hook's still around... I can't think of anymore good villains without delving into Pixar. Anybody else got anything?

Well, actually now that you mention it...

But IDK how to properly fit the dude in there, unless it was an original scenario like with Chernabog.

And also...
