Yeah, that's what I meant. I'm actually inclined to think it's because they didn't have enough polygons to render them separately (or the lack of shading makes it seem that way), which is kind of ironic.
She's probably not average for a Japanese woman, but she might be average for a (skinny) American, once you take that into account. And she's got a far more realistic body shape than 99% of animated women, which also helps.
I think it mostly has to do with the actual outfits as well, for the sake of making it fit the body. You can notice how each differs depending on what you wear. Aqua's choice of style can be difficult to shade. Once in-game, the shape of them has to be there, but it becomes more pronounced. Anything more of this has to be seen when we witness Aqua with different clothes one day and contrast, really.
And, well, I don't think Japanese women are always THAT kind of small, is what I'm trying to say, lol. I'm sure they can vary like everyone else. I guess I should've made it clear what kind, but I don't think I can do that well. Regardless, you got my meaning.
Yeah, there certainly wasn't any question about it there. XD
Though, I'm wondering if some of the other things KH gets away with would have been okay in the late '80s (like Xion).
I don't know. I think there were more open-minded, but I believe in terms of sexuality, it has always been a problem for people in some form. I can't tell whether it got better or worse, but I think it got better.
Oh my god, I watched that the other day and it scared the hell out of me. Scared me even more, because I have an evil grandmother who looks EXACTLY like Ursula from the waist up. D:
I wonder if the rater guy was just bullshitting about the boob jiggle?
"You'll have your looks! Your pretty face! And don't underestimate the importance of body language, hah!" *shakes*
And I don't know if it was, but it seems rather stupid to comment on despite that it appears that there are worst things to be concerned about with
BBS. It's not like you would note this about Aqua unless you were ogling her bewbs. It's the same crap they pulled with Axel's suicide: edited the fire, when people would be entranced more by the light show rather than what goes in and out of the body.
