Can't wait to play as Axel! So does anyone have a guess how long it will take for the game to be released after the japanese release? Or will it be simultaneous?

Nonetheless, thanks for making this thread Riku-Keyblade.

Well, KH2 took three months to be localized and released in NA after it's Japan release. Given how KH2 will be a lot bigger than 358, it will be no later than 3 months and will most likely be earlier than that.

I have a question.

We know that Nomura stated that "not all worlds are able to just simply be accessed," though I don't think I'm quoting that precisely, though he did say something to that affect. So what that implies is that there are worlds where you can go out of free choice of will without having a mission perhaps. Like, maybe you can explore the Organization XIII Headquarters any time you wish, and possibly Twilight Town as well since they two are closely connected. Although I'd love more than just two worlds to freely explore, that'd be a start.

So, with the idea of being able to just go somewhere for the heck of it in mind in single player, does that mean that you could possibly do this through multiplayer? Like you could form your team, whether it be three computers or a combination of friends or however you please, and then venture around certain worlds freely? I know that may not be possible since it's been said that multiplayer is mission-based and the missions you can play you must have defeated in singleplayer mode, but just because you're on a mission, does that mean that you have to accomplish it? Couldn't you maybe get your group of friends or computers together and just go to the area where the mission is and just...For lack of a better word, screw around? Like if the mission was "Go to the Train Station and battle the Darkside," maybe you would be permitted to venture around all of Twilight Town minus the Train Station just for fun, and since it's multiplayer, you could do it with any character.

Maybe I'm just being hopeful as I can't think of anything being more awesome then just visiting Twilight Town or Radiant Garden and venturing around as Zexion. ^_^

Oh, and Riku-Keyblade, Kingdom Hearts II was a highly anticipated game, so they would have wanted to get it localized QUICKLY so they could sell it in the US and other places, though I don't believe any future installment, minus BBS and a possible Kingdom Hearts III, would have as much effort put into it, so it still could possibly take three months or more...Sadly. T.T

The three games are just as, if not more, anticipated, they aren't going to slack off just because. Plus S-E as a whole has been trying to get their release windows closer to one another, with many game sbeing simultaneously released for NA and Japan. So, I still expect less than 3 months.

As for your question on Multiplayer, I really have no idea, but I would assume it would be something like that. I can't really see it being like "[INSERT ORG MEMBER]:I really should do this mission" everytime you try to go to a different area, but who can say for sure? =/

I see...Well, I would be kinda...Err, completely pissed if it did that. :p I'd wanna run away from the group and point and laugh as a Darkside picks them up and eats them (I'm sooooo the perfect teammate).

Well then, with that said, does anyone think that one of the main purposes of this game is to locate every members Heartless and defeat it? I mean, if their purpose is to become existing beings through use of Kingdom Hearts, wouldn't finding their specific Heartless (If at all possible) and sending them to join the great mass of hearts that makes up Kingdom Hearts only be logical? We'd be able to see just what type of Heartless the strong hearted and strong willed members of Organization XIII were able to make. Although it's already been said that only Xehanort and Sora have ever become a Heartless and had their Heartless selves retain consciousness, though that doesn't mean that Organization XIII members didn't make some really powerful Heartless...

Of course that brings up the question of how a powerful Heartless is made. I mean, Sora became a Heartless and simply stayed as the most basic Heartless around. Maybe it's like the more time you spend as a Heartless, therefore the more darkness you could be exposed to over time, the more powerful that Heartless would become. Hmm...*Ponders*

EDIT: Ahhh! My mistake! After reading around some websites and thinking about it, the power of a Heartless is actually determined by the amount of darkness in the heart of the individual. Since Sora doesn't mess around with darkness, he had very little, though still had some since he wasn't one of the rare princesses of heart, so a Heartless could be formed. That explains why when Kairi lost her heart, a Heartless wasn't made. She had no darkness, thus nothing could be made, so the heart went to Sora and stayed inside of him. My mistake on that one. :p And that just means that Xehanort had a HUGE affinity for darkness when he became a Heartless...So much so, he became his own type of Heartless and retained conciousness...I'm just stating the obvious now. :p

Still, if the Organization members had enough of an affinity for darkness when they became Heartless, they could have had their own original Heartless made, totally unique from any other. Maybe that could be a little sub-plot for the game. *Shoulder shrug*

EDITEDIT: I edit alot, bare with me.

About that new bar that was seen with Roxas, I think it was called...The LM bar? I can't remember. Anyway, I don't believe it'd be used for drives, so that means it's most likely used for limits correct? So that implies that Roxas has a super-powerful finishing move that he can unleash to destroy a big group of enemies. Does that mean that every other Organization member has one? Like, when you're in a group in Single player, can you switch to, say, Axel when the bar is full and unleash some type of OF barrage of flames upon them?

And also, does that bar stay intact for Multiplayer? And maybe only the leader of the group, the one to initially form the group, aka player one, duh, can use it? I suppose we just have to wait for footage of someone playing as an Organization XIII member other than Roxas. =/ Bah, waiting. >.<

After actually paying attention to one of the magazine scans for 358/2 Days, I think I've figured out how the course of Multiplayer works.

You start off by entering a portal to darkness, which takes you through the Dark Corridors and leads you to the targeted world. From there, you can travel the entire area, or a big portion or it, or at least as much as is allowed, minus the area where the main boss fight of the mission, assuming there is one, takes place. This shows that just so long as you don't care about your time in a mission, you can just screw around in the world you want for as long as you want, just don't go to fight the boss or don't kill the final Heartless or whatever until you're finished having fun.

My main referance of figuring this out is this particular scan...

http://gonintendo.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/422.jpg

Look at the picture at the very top right corner. You see a portal to darkness, which can be assumed that it's the one that Saix made in another scan along with him saying "Be careful," or something like that, but that may only apply to Single player. Anyway, you enter through that, and if you look at the picture, the area that leads to the Clock Tower of Twilight Town, which we all know is there the boss of the first mission, the Dark Side, is at and it just so happens to have a sort of barrier around it, showing that you can explore as much of Twilight Town as you wish just so long as you don't go fight the boos, which can only apparently happen by killing off four Heartless.

So, although there may not be a specific Free-Roam gameplay option for Multiplayer, you can certainly improvise to make your own. :D

this is nothing breath taking but: did anyone else notice that the XIVth member has dark-ish (possibly like Xemnas) skin? except if it's just the light. just a thought, what do you think?
oh and she's most likely around Roxas' age, guessing from the height.

(sorry if this was said in any other old thread)

We've all pretty much noticed. Usually, when you're a user of the darkness, your skin can sometimes turn into a darker shade, such as Xehanort's Heartless's skin did, as did DiZ, aka Ansem the Wise's. That's one thing that led me to believe her element may be darkness itself.

Not only that, they have yellow eye's as well.^^>.

DiZ's skin didn't turn darker because of darkness, he made it look darker as a disguise. Dark skin = darkness user. Though, currently the only ones we have seen with dark skin are eeeevil (RACISM! XD)

I think that her seemingly having darker skin is lightning and scan quality, I personally don't think she does have dark skin.
And I don't think she is the same height as Roxas, the angle of the short makes her seem shorter than she is.

Actually, a darkness user, though maybe this is just one of extreme calibur, has orange eyes. ^.^

And Riku, I personally don't think it's the lighting or the scan quality because the white in the background is as clear as day and exactly as it would look in the game. Why would just her face have a bad scan?

And I don't think it was a disguise. Remember, he actually did start to use the darkness, like the dark corridors. He said so in his reports I believe. Since he was banished to the realm of nothingness, that's when he started to use them to find a place to reside and spy on the Organization. He was a darkness user, but when he took off those bandages, that signified him accepting his past failure that he brought onto his students, as he believed he begun the whole ordeal since he started the research, and his heart became powerful enough to cast off the darkness at that point, thus why his skin went back to normal and his eyes did as well.

And on the racism comment...No comment...<.<

He says in the reports that he needed to change his form, aka make a disguise, before he could go back into the light realm so they didn't know it was him. And the fact that he later takes it all off in TWTNW would make it seem it was simply a disguise, would it not?

Yes, but even Xemnas, when he had his hood up, you could SEE how dark his skin was, and it =/= what XIVth looks like in that sense.
