Whooo!
((Haku, that game totally ROX! I lurves it! Erm....I would lurves it more, if Dr. Cid would stop killing me....curse that annoying replica!))
Wow, even though I updated a few hours ago, here she blows again!
As Sora opened his eyes, he knew at once where he was...but it was not as he had hoped.
It seemed Riku had faltered only one world away...and now, now they were stranded in Traverse Town, right where both their adventures had begun.
The boy spotted his fallen friend only inches away from his hand, his being face-down in the dusty cobblestone. Lifting him up as gently as he could, Sora saw his eyes open for but a moment, and roll back into his skull.
"This is serious," Sora thought, silently, as he passed by Cid's old Gummiy Shop, which was now a small handbag shoppe, "I have to find someplace to stay, where the Heartless won't track me down..."
He knew all in his mind that such a place was impossible to find; what with the Heartless knowing his hearts' scent all too well.
Sora halted directly in front of the Hotel, and snuck inside, taking extra measures in order to make sure that nobody saw him. For all he knew, the place was still infested with Heartless...and as weak and defenseless as he was now...there was little Sora could be able to do to defend himself.
But it seemed a lot had changed since his last visit; there was not a single Shadow to be spotted. Sora placed his fallen ally down on the bed beside his, and fell down onto the soft structure.
It felt so good to lay down and finally get some form of relaxation.....he was too tired to think about anything but it......the journey had worn him down, prehaps from the darkness within those tunnels....
Either way, he had drifted into his slumber....and was caught in his own dreams.
But he was not the only one.
Riku had been asleep for the entire while, and yet found himself unable to awaken when he heard Sora's voice in his mind. He now wandered a blank, white void, confused, slightly concerned, and very much alone. It had seemed half an hour before something finally caught his eye: a bench, sitting innocently in the middle of all the white. It was good to see something with some form of color, Riku decided, and sat down, looking for some sign or clue to his next step.
For a long time, nothing came at all. Riku slowly felt himself falling asleep again. Could it be possible to fall asleep when you are already?
His thoughts were halted when a figure appeared, not far from hsi location. It was a young woman, tall, slim, with sunny hair, dressed in a laboritory assistant's coat. For a while, she looked around, confused, and spotted Riku, sitting on the bench. The echos of her footsteps rang out as she approached him, cautiously.
"Who are you?"
Riku stared at her...she seemed a little familiar.
"My name is Riku."
The other smiled. "Serenity. My name is Serenity."
There was a strange silence as the two observed one another. The Keyblader noted the badge which stated his guest was from a Star-Research Center someplace.
The girl smiled, almost in a familiar mannerism. "Where are you from?"
"An Island...far away...you?"
"I'm from the Radiant Garden," replied the other, nodding, "It's far away too..."
"That's what the badge is for then, isn't it?"
Serenity sighed, and removed her pin, tossing it onto the ground. "I would rather not speak about that..."
More silence.
"So...you're from an Island?"
"Yes."
The female sighed, and rocked back and forth on the bench, gently. "I've never seen the ocean before...I heard it's so beautiful though...like a never-ending lake..."
Riku shook his head. "It's bothersome, after a while...you get so tired of being pinned up in one place...and you just have to get out of there."
Serenity glanced at him, and smiled, stiffly.
"You remind me of someone I knew one time...when he went away, to see new worlds, he said he would come back to get me..." she grew very silent. "He never did come back..."
Riku perked up. "Do you know what happened to him?"
Serenity shrugged. "Not really...." A solemn look crossed her face. "I never got to say goodbye though...I wish I could see him again..."
The boy thought of Kairi. "I have someone who left me too....and, even though she never expected to leave, I wish I could have at least told her how...important she was to me....me and my friend both..."
"It's nice, to have friends, isn't it?"
Riku mimicked the other, shrugging. "Sometimes they're a bother, and you always have to watch them...but...I guess you're right...." He looked up at her. "Do you have any friends?"
Serenity shook her head. "My friends went away, a long time ago..."
The older took her by the hand. "Then we can be friends, Serenity. You and me."
Serenity beamed, and nodded. "Of course, Riku."
Suddenly, in the distance, a series of chimes rang out, softly.
Riku looked about, and turned to face the girl. "Did you hear that?"
The other nodded, and stood up. "I did..."
"It came from-"
"The East"
"The West."
Both of them looked queerly at each other, as Riku pondered a soution.
"Okay," the young man said with a frown, "You go East, and I'll go West. If you don't find anything, come back here, and I'll come get you, okay?"
"The same applies to you."
"Then I'll see you around."
Serenity gave a fleeting smile. "Yes, yes."
But there was no more to say, for either of them, as Riku noticed himself slowly drifting downwards, into the dark shadows below......into the dark....
"No, not again...."
"What do you mean, 'not again?'"
Riku sat up with a jerk, only to butt heads with his beloved friend. ((Like that wasn't a first, right?))
Rubbing his head in agony, Sora peered at him, oddly.
"You were sleep-talking...what on earth where you dreaming?"
The other shook himself awake. "I....have no idea........"
"That's simply amazing." Xangla stated.
"That's simply not good," inserted Trinitex, "That's another step closer...not good on our part."
"It only makes the job harder, after all," Xangla said, her tone dragging. "Riku is not going to be a easy one to kill, I tell you now."
Trinitex sighed. "With her getting in the way, nothing is easy. Xehanort should have let her die....idiot hearts....must they come with loopholes like that?"
The woman twirled her black locks in her fingers. "Hearts don't come with manuals, Trix. They're a little more complicated..."
"But she......you know........" Trinitex relatiated, "And you know what happens to people who do! Only one other person did that, and that was-"
"Sora, I know, I know..." The other stated, annoyed, "Tell me something I don't know. They both, I'd suppose, are excceptions to the 'if you get touched by a Heartless, you become a Nobody' rule."
"When was that ever a rule?" Trinitex questioned.
"It wasn't," said the woman. "But I could only guess it potains to only a select few."
"A select? You mean all but two."
"Either or."
In the middle of this conversation, another member appeared in the room.
"Well, Master Oblivion," Xangla said, slightly startled by the arrival of the guest, "There any reason you're bothering us?"
"Yes," replied the creature, who hid his repulsive face with his hood, "The Superior wishes to speak to us. All of us."
"He'll have your head for calling him that," Trinitex told him, warningly, "He hates being compared to...'Xemnas'...."
Oblivion shrugged. "It isn't relevant right now. Get to the meeting room. Seven just came back."
Only moments later did the enitre order assemble in the meeting room.
"Welcome home, Seven," Karnax said, speaking to the young person at the very end of the table, "Did you get what Maxarden requested?"
The member nodded, gesturing to a sinewy silver strand of string.
Karnax gave a look of sheer delight. "You're brilliant, Seven."
"Boss, did you forget her name? Even we know her name," the tall, thin-armed member said, with a snort.
"Shut your mouth Ramnex, or I'll shut it for you!"
Trinitex wheeled on the other member. "Xezam! You are not authorized to speak out against Ramnex, you blundering idiot! Any fool with common sense can count to four! He is number three, and you, you are number five! Shut up, and listen!"
Xezam was silent, though his inner hate boiled wildly.
Xangla cleared her throat. "Go on then, Seven, tell us your name then. You've been gone so long, we've seem to have misplaced it."
The figure removed her hood, to reveal a young girl with masses of oaken hair and green eyes.
"My name is Axria."
Karnax smiled. "Axria, yes, I remember now. You're....her Nobody....how could I forget..."
Maxarden picked up the strand carefully, placing it into a bag. Coughing, he turned to his fellows.
"So....let's talk about Master Xehanort, shall we?"
XD
My eyes are killing me.
