I imagine any project derived from the Remake will have the Remake's voice-actors, while anything that fuses the FINAL FANTASY brand like Dissidia and other games will use the old VAs.Well, what if old VA just ended their roles? I'm talking about new projects that will be released by FFR, where is the guarantee that the old VAs will return there?
On twitter, some people have a panic about this.
I'm lost. Isn't the game going up until Midgar? The new trailer was great. It's nice to see that the game will be going as far as Cosmo Canyon (so far). Also Aerith <3 <3 <3!

I'm still confuse. Will the first episode be Midgar only, or will it be up until the Cosmo CAnyon? The first game is only Midgar
Would you mind sharing why you think the FF7R project is better off with a newer cast of VA's? I'm honestly curious. In my case, I'm indifferent. It's SE's property, so they can do whatever they want with it.

Isn't the first fight scene with Reno and Rude at Cosmo Canyon? Or is it at Aerith's house? Perhaps I am misremembering. It's up to the very end of Midgar. Where did you get Cosmo Canyon from?
In the trailer, the first fight with Reno is in the Church and the first fight with Rude is outside in the slums. The second Reno fight is still within Midgar.I'm confused too. That scene in the TGS trailer looked like similar to the fight scene at Cosmo Canyon. Is this a sneak peek or what?

in the Rude fight.Spoiler Show
the plate has been dropped on a sector, and you can see the missing plate
Yeah. I pretty much got this the second I noticed the entire cast was Re:Cast (lol). I pretty much think that the Remake will establish a new universe.I see FFVIIR as a complete reimagining of the original game, which didn’t have voice acting. All the FFVII VAs we know and love were cast here and there for different projects as needed. And many characters like Aerith have never had one consistent VA.
So from my perspective, and I believe from SE’s, this is an opportunity to voice cast the game from scratch with age appropriate voice actors who have good chemistry with each other, who can more easily adapt to changes in characterization, and who will be contracted to play the role for however many installments this project will run.
It’s nothing I have against any of the original VAs. I just think they’re making a creative choice to separate this game from the compilation and I support them in that. I’ve said this before, but as a theatre person, I have no issue with different actors playing the same role. In fact, I very much enjoy seeing new takes on a part.

It helps to sink-in that this is an entirely new interpretation of the first game, so it won't be a loyal reenactment of the game.I am having a harder time than expected, getting used to Midgar being a full-fledged game.
In my head it's still just the prologue of the game being expanded.
Seeing the characters use summons makes perfect sense for a full game, but in my head I'm just thinking "wait, what? You don't get summons until the Chocobo farm at the earliest... oh yeah, that's right, that part's not gonna happen here until the next game".
And I litteraly just had the same feeling watching the Aps fight. I saw Cloud using the Hardegde instead of the Buster, and my first thought was "You steal that from an enemy in the Shinra HQ building, how do you have that already at this point?"
I still have half a year to get used to these changes, they make perfect sense. I guess the original, even though I haven't played it in years, is just so ingrained in my head, that I notice these things that I honestly don't have anything against, but they still trigger me - if that makes sense?
I think the closed doors, exclusive hands off demo shown to press and influencers showed them the entire beginning of the game, from Cloud jumping off the train all the way through to the end of the bombing mission.I have this crazy thought that the bombing run isn't actually the beginning of the game but somewhere around the middle. Wasn't it hinted that it wasn't the 1st time AVALANCHE hired Cloud or something?
This isn’t a 1:1 remake of FF7. There are going to be several additions and changes made to the story to accommodate this new reimagining. Everything in this trailer and every trailer to come until March is from the first game (keyword: GAME, not episode, before someone says it), which expands Midgar into it’s own full fledged experience with 2-discs of content.I'm confused too.
