Allakhazam.com: Final Fantasy XI: FFXIV NEWS - Tanaka & Komoto Interview

I hate tis idea and I hope they change it. Best thing about FFXI was the jobs<.<

nstead of leveling up with experience points, weapons will play a key role in how a character grows and develops. When the interviewer asks if series mainstays like Warrior or Paladin will appear, the developers simply hint that nothing will be exactly the same as we know it. No more grinding XP for levels - they have something new in store.

Its all guess right now.But its mostly like you get skills for weps like FFIX.

Well the whole job/class structure is getting a little bit stale. ( And I love both FFXI and WoW ).

I'm glad they'll be doing something different.

Though I wont judge til I paly it.But lvling with a friend was part of the fun.

Well, since a hueg theme of the game as stated by the developers is "growth", I think it'll be a similar experience if not executed just a little bit differently.

I think it will be easier.

Form what i read it looks like they want to for that market. Seems like they want to make easier. I mean character growth lets just see how that plays out I guess.

That might make sense, given that a lot of MMOs have a direct download option.

Heck, it might be preferable given the fact that they're not going to have to manufacture Blu-ray discs and box materials. That in turn could save some time on the release date.

great

no room on my current hard drive.
You would have to have harddrive anyways. Even if came on a disk, lol.

Getting for PC and I do like the hard copy but I think its a great idea. It would save them money.Maybe they will do the samething with PC who like steam.

Would be nice, but with ppl paying each month they will try to keep players. By adding stuff etc, if was just one fee they could make ppl buy it and start doing crappy work later on.

Unless they do something like LOTRO. People who pre-order paid like $250-300 and can play forever for free but people who didn't have to pay each month.(that deal, i would get in a heatbeat.)

I'd rather pay on a monthly basis as I do with the other MMOs I play.

Then, when I get bored of one I can put a hold on my subscription without wasting cash up front.

Nomura doesn't want for FF to end as far as I know. But FFXIII and FFvXIII are the last FF games he'll work on.
