Ok, well I don't know which is which, but can someone explain to me, the difference between types of cards for computers. Cause lately I have got some OLD games for my computer, and was wondering what would make the game better weather, its gameplay, graphics, or w/e can someone tell me what exactly each type of card will do, and recommend some cheap ones that will work nice for old games (SNES). Thanks.

The kind of card you're looking for is a graphics/video card.

Honestly, I'm not up to snuff when it comes to current hardware anymore. It moves too fast and I no longer subscribe to any PC gaming magazines. I can tell you that ultimately your choices come down to which brand you want and how much you can afford. The most expensive, top of the line cards are roughly $500. You can usually find a more than capable slightly older card for significantly less. However, since you appear to be primarily focused on SNES emulation, just about any video card you can find on the shelves or in catalogs today would be more than enough to handle the task.

first of all u need to kno wat type of slots do u have. like pci , pcie 1x, pcie x4 , pcie x16, or apg x8. u need to also find out wat type of proccesor u have and how much memory cuz some computers require that type of things.

it would be better if u have a pcie slots cuz companies r stoping production on pci which is most common in most computers these days.

if ur looking for a video card at bestbuy here u go

I just bought an ATI Radeon X1300 Pro (256mb)

It was a 'bit' pricey, but it makes everything runs fine. After taxes it was $169.xx CDN at BestBuy. But it was worth it.

Velocity, some of those links are to TV Tuner cards, which will do nothing to help his cause.

Hope that helps
