Hey, People. Yeah, I've been really getting into the Anime/Manga Gantz. I've watched all of the Anime, and loved it then read Phase 1 of the Manga and liked it even more than the anime.

So, anybody besides me watch/read Gantz besides me?

Gantz is pretty much a porn version of Battle Royale. Where half the time people are screwing and when they aren't they're killing for a reason that grows dull two games into the series.

I've never really understood why people like it >_>

Oh, no, NU. I own the first book, I bought it by myself too. Of course, it was sealed up in the store so no kids could read it, so I had no idea what I was buying. Stupid me.

If you want an ultraviolent series, go with Berserk. It's got so much more depth and class, and, honestly, is just the best action series out there.

Awhile ago, I stumbled upon Gantz. I started reading, but then realized how gross and explicit it was. Never read it since.

I found it quite an intresting read but I stopped reading after a couple of chapters since the story never really seemed to pick up. Does the story actually pick up later on or is the same thing over and over again?

the story picks up, but in what way...no one knows. kurono dies after like 20 volumes, something about vampires and nanotechnology.

i hated the end of bhuddist temple, just because noone shot the damned ornament thingy. they should bring the sniper guy back.


so anyways, if you've seen berserk, then you should be fine with gantz, and i highly recommend both, just give it a chance....when you turn 17....

Gantz isn't that good of an anime, but it is a guilty pleasure. I stopped watching a little over halfway through because they would keep stalling the action during the episodes in way reminiscent of DBZ.

There's nothing like resurfacing a thread thats been dead for awhile. I really love this MANGA, so hooked its unbelievable.

QUESTION: Does anyone know how often the manga comes out. I heard somewhere it comes out every two weeks on friday one place and another place they said every couple months ::sigh::

Did a search and came up with this thread, so to save from the creation of a pointless thread, I've just posted in this one.

After the first ten episodes, I have to say wow full on! Sex, violence, cussing, everything that is adult anime! Not to say I love it, but hey it beats watching normal T.V., I enjoyed it. And yes Kid A, doesn't beat Berserk. <3
