The English version of Chapter 19 is available now. From the preview on Bookwalker, it seems what Young Xehanort is saying in the first page is essentially an alternate translation for his “you’re the who’s made his heart a prison“ line from DDD.

So, where can I get the English chapter?

Seriously? That sucks

Like I said before, I’m not exactly having much luck finding ways to buy full English chapters. I was only able to get that screenshot because the Bookwalker site previews consist of 3 pages: cover page, blank and first page. And even then, the only books in the series that aren’t region locked(so far at least) are the Chi, DDD and Coded novels.

The first chapter in the Tox Box arc is finally up on Gangan Online.
And Amano does a pretty good job and drawing the Toy Story characters and toy looks for Sora, Donald and Goofy.
So far no big changes, except for one. When Sora and co. come in, they catch the Verum Rex commercial on Andy’s TV.


Other than that, the chapter mainly covers the opening moments of the Toy Box world up until the gang leaves for Galaxy Toys.

Hoooly hell. I’ve always been in awe if Mr Amano’s ability to flawlessly blend the Disney characters into his style, but this just about blows it out of the park.

The main stuff covered this chapter is the beginning of the trek into Galaxy Toys up until Donald and Goofy give Sora the idea to ”GET IN THE ROBOT!”

I'm always blown away by Shiro Amano's art used in the manga and novels. Woody and the toys look so good. I'm guessing Young Xehanort appears here as well.

We’ve gotten the first half of Chapter 23 on the Gangan website for Paddy’s Day. I’m guessing this is gonn be one of the longer ones since this part was about 16 pages long

I like that even the Dusks are given a form of characterization in the manga.

Like fighting Buzz in a way similar to the Beast fight in KH2, and when Buzz gets in a daze the puppet Heartless comes out to fight.

Don’t know why it’d be listed as 13 bucks in the US for one volume. The omnibuses I somewhat get, but not single volumes

So Chapter 24 just dropped on the Gangan website, and it looks like we’re skipping the Verum Rex stuff(for now?).

We pick up where we left off with Buzz firing at Woody, Sora taking a few swings at young Xehanort, and then he just takes off with Buzz. Afterwards the party are left wondering how to find him, and the chapter ends with the Woody smack talking Xehanort scene.

Also, kinda like this panel Sora unsure what to do with the Toy Box gang worried about Buzz

As always I love the Shiro Amano artwork for the KH Manga so much. It looks great and there is sure to be some comedic lines when translated, but I still fear that it will mostly follow the game plot without any deviations or adding it's own flare. One of the things that made the KH Manga so enjoyable is it was a adaptation that, while following the same story, how we got there was different. To this day I still prefer the KH2 Manga over it's game counterpart.
