Okay, so I've been looking for alternatives to Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I've so far found GIMP, Inkscape, and Scribus. Now, I need to know if these three programs are any good. Also, if they are compatible with each other and work well together. PLEASE NOTE: I do NOT have money right now for Adobe products. Thank you in advance.

i used GIMP for along time until i got CS4 and i liked it but now Cs5 is out/coming out and i want that but im fine with CS4.
I haven't used the other ones.....
if you are acuston of using photoshop you should try gimpshop..... its basically gimp with a modified UI to look like photoshop.
