Heero was the common cliche quiet guy who didnt' talk much and would never show any emotions at all. Duo was annoying and needed a haircut. Trowa was a little more open than Heero, but still sort of cliche. Wufie was a prideful woman hating homosexual. Quatre was not Middle Eastern!

100 people could die in Gundam Wing and it wouldn't mean a thing. One character could die in Zeta Gundam and it would mean everything. Thats what seperates a good Gundam show from the crap that was Wing.[/rant]

One of my pet peeves is when people start glorifying Gundam Wing.:thumbdown:

You all need to watch Zeta Gundam, or at least the compilation movies that came out this year and the last. Gackt does the theme songs:thumbup:

I don't like getting into debates about Gundam because, sadly, I never really got to see much of the previous Gundams before Wing, the first on I saw and my personal favorite. I wish that they'd bring back the original Gundams and put it on Toonami or something. I remember that they had Gundam on Toonami and Adult Swim years ago; but either it was on too late for me to stay up and watch or I just don't remember much of the little bit I got to see. It's a sad, sad world.

They showed the Universal Century Gundam shows on Toonami and Adult Swim back in 2001. They showed; Mobile Suit Gundam (Original), 08th MS Team, 0080 War in Pocket, 0083 Stardust Memory and Adult Swim even showed the movie Char's Counterattack. They stopped showing Original Gundam because of the 9/11 attacks and I don't think they finished airing the whole series after that. The network believed an Anime about war wasn't the the best thing for kids to be watching at that time. All the other Gundam's were aired once or twice and then never shown again. I'm thinking Bandai and Sunrise just want more money so they want you to buy the DVD's instead of seeing it on tv.

Oh well, theres always the hope that Adult Swim will air Mobile Suit Z Gundam since its already been dubbed and is on DVD. I doubt it though, so thats where the magic of torrents comes in :thumbsup:

Yes all those Gundams.....weel at least the ones i know....are awesome!

Where are Justice, Buster, chaos and Legend from?

Also, anyone ever seen/heard of Gundam After War X or otherwise know as Gundam X?

oh i remember Buster now. Og the few episodes i saw of SEED he was my favorite.

I like Athren's Gundam (I dont remember what its called I havent seen SEED in a year) *goes to Youtube to watch SEED..* damn you teen angst drama with giant robots and "war" that I cant resist lol

Those SEED mobile suits are way too overpowered. I did like the Providence and Legend though because the DRAGOON thing was basicly the Newtype controlled funnels from the old shows. SEED is really nostalgic for me, and my favorite suits are the ZAKUs that look like Hi-Zacks. The GOUF Ignited looks horrible compared to the original though. The wings really don't suit a Gouf.

I had a bunch of models, mostly Zeon suits because I'm a Zeon fanboy:loveit:

Most of them were broken though when my nephew played with them and I couldn't find any more Universal Century model sets since then (excluding eBay).

Gundam SEED's only redeeming quality is good music. Other than that its a recycled Gundam for our generation that revises and recycles Orginal Gundam and Zeta Gundam and turns it into a teen pop drama with overdramatic reactions and pretty boy pilots and way too pretty mobile suits. If you still don't believe about the recycling part, just look at the characters and Mobile suits.

Not only that but it actually takes the new types. Also look at the Mechs

Strike- it is EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE GUNDAM! NO DIFFERENCE!
Aegis- Mobile armor form,it's kinda like the alpha from Char's counter-attack aswell as sazabi from the same movie
Duel- Gundam clone
Buster- Buster Rifle from wing, as many components of the gun tank
Blitz- It's spears are a throw back to the Nu Gundams funnels, the gun-arm thing is also a throw back to the dragon gundam from wing
Justice-same as Aegis
Freedom- A very odd mixture of guncannon-gundam-jagad-alpha
Province- Nu-sazabi-jagad-alpha mixture, just bigger.
Destiny- see freedom

I'd go on if i could remember the names of the earth alliance gundams.
