Supposed if I got a new record on the score in the middle of the Cup, can I quit and the score would be automatically saved?

You must complete the whole tournament to save the score.

If you don't complete the whole thing, it will not be saved.

It won't be saved if you automatically quit the game, you'd have to try and play your way through, then only then, you can save it.
