They're going to have to find a way around Shadow's very dark origin, the one involving a little girl, because these are lighthearted family movies, what are your thoughts?

Sonic Adventure 2 was a kid's game so its not that farfetched.
Filmmakers don't like to indulge in flashbacks so they'd wouldn't show it that much. They allude to it in a series of still images or quick cuts.

It's still pretty dark, and I think you can get away with that sort of thing in a (The sonic adventure games were rated T for everyone right?) T rated game easier than a lighthearted family movie, that's pretty light on the dark stuff, I mean yeah, the stuff with longclaw and knuckles father is definitely dark, but they didn't actually show them dying, wouldn't be surprised if their still alive hiding out somewhere similar to Aquaman's mother, and while we're on the subject those were flashbacks, but maria, her death was so dark, I just don't see how they're going to do it, because she didn't just die, she was gunned down, I'm surprised they put it in the sonic X 4kids cartoon, they didn't show blood of course but it was still pretty shocking.

That's what I'm hoping for, or rather that's the best-case scenario, if it were up to me, his origin would diverge and she'd (Don't know if I spelled that right) live long enough to see him after 50 years, or be put in stasis with him, because Shadow deserves to be happy.

First off, what does TBH mean, second was rouge a bad guy? I could never figure that out, she seems like a Catwoman type character to me, and I'm not just saying that because of the cat like qualities she has, but also because she likes stealing things, like the chaos emeralds, and because she seems to flip flop between good and bad, even becomes a member of GUN, she's always confused me.

Tbh- to be honest.
Rogue is an antagonist in Adventure 2. She's a double agent, working with Eggman on government orders. She has femme Fatale traits which probably would get toned down.

Rogue's flirty behavior would be toned down for a kids film. It would probably be used for comedy as Sonic and Knuckles would have a hard time dealing with it.

I was referring to the femme fatale thing, not the tone down thing.
but seriously tho. If Rouge ends up in the next Sonic movie, Paramount is not going to be able properly portray her without at least one side of the political spectrum being offended

And I think it'll be fine, honestly. The original SA games were all PEGI 3, plus kids films can go pretty dark. I'd prefer they don't change it at all you know
