Hi everyone I’ve been thinking lately about making some kingdom hearts songfics based on some anime openings and endings but since I don’t speak Japanese and I’m putting the fic under the English language tab on Ao3 since that’s what the notes and character names are going be on I’m kinda lost on how to do that without making the format a nightmare
i usually format my songfics like so
Character(s) singing the lyric - the lyric itself
Character(s) singing the lyric- the lyric itself
so on and so forth until I hit an instrumental
in that case I’ll either do one of two things 1.ignore it or 2. put some descriptive text describing what the characters are doing/ put any other formats that I use in my other fics to depict things like timeskips
I’m mostly wondering exactly how I should stack the translations of the lyrics without making it too confusing as well as where i should translate them because Google translate is not 100% accurate all the time and I’m wary about using any youtube fansubs
