Use only Lvl 9 cards. Seriously. Nothing under 7. If you have 8s, that'd be alright but if you have plenty of level 9 cards, you can woop Riku easily. Stock a lot and be sure to stop his Oblivion attack. Otherwise, I recommend you do something I know someone did. Get as many Cloud cards as you can and only if Riku is low on cards do you stock them for Omnislash since Riku has some 0 cards. Otherwise, just get him cornered and if he tries to leap out of the corner, show him no mercy with your lvl 9 keyblades.
in kh1? in hollow bastion? jump a lot and attack from behind and have potions or hi potions

I just got lots of zeros ready for whenever he used dark aura cuz that crazy fool will kill you with that move! and i ran up and down the screen attacking the heck out of him, also omnislash helped. With lots of cures, also oogie- boogie's card helps.
Dragon Maleficent is a gd card to have...so is Oogie Boogie, Captain Hook (all 0 cards ), and also something which acts like a Hi-Potion (Screwdriver i think) to auto reload ur deck...keep 0 cards handy at all times, 0 cure saved my a$$, a 0 elixir would help as well...
7-9 attack cards, Ignore sleights apart from Omnislash (have 3 high levelled Clouds) and Curaga maybe, only 0 when Riku Sleight is used...its difficult, but eventually u shall prevail...

OOgie Boogies card is the best enemy card. Only one that is really effective.

i had alot of 7,8 and 9 cards and then my last 5 cards were cures n stuff.this way i can attack then when i need to block 1 of thoughs big attacks i quickly switch backwards and do a card break then continue 2 attack.and the cures r 2 healwhe i need it (obviously).
too detailed its a strategy though u just gotta hurt ur hed thinking and i know its a pain in the @ss
all the cards in my deck are above level 5 and i always attacked from the back of riku to not get hit by a dark firagra and i waited till i got 3 goofy cards stacked them to do alot of damage and then 3 donald cards to heal your hp and do a strong magic attack to him
my minimum was 6, and i had all my attack cards 9, and my healings 6,7,8. NO premium cards.

Use 7, 8, 9, and 0s
8+ and 0 cards, the rest were healing and deck restore things (can't remember what they were called.xP). It wasn't a hard battle.

Listen to her.
Place your 9s and 8s in the front of your pile and your 0 cards in the back. If Riku whips out Dark Aura on you, quickly move to the back of your pile and use a 0 card. Otherwise, keep bashing him with 9s and 8s. Only time he can beat your 9s is if he uses his own 9 (which just cancels both) and when he stocks some weak number cards. Stock your cards to beat his if you can. Another note is if you use Premium cards, you are at a high disadvantage.
Get some 9 Cures on you and make sure not to use any Summons. Riku can easily stock against your summons and even use a 0 card to knock it out.
Roll plenty of times if he is using a basic attack and if he stocks to use stronger attacks, cancel him.
equiped cards that had bigger numbers on them and best the $#!+ out of him by jamming the buttons in on what i was playing at the time my DS. oh yeah and i really hated the cards idea card based games suck.
