I hate my Job! Who is with me?

I have a terrible job: A public school student. D :

Requires almost no work, pays nothing, and wastes time. At least in the next few years I'll finally get some real work and payment for my 6 hour day-shift.

If I end up working a minimum wage job, I'd work at some gaming shop. That way, all I do is ignore the customers, talk about new games to anybody who remotely cares, play free demos, and get paid for it.

I work for my mom.....cleaning the house dumping the trash.....and without pay. And if i don't do it.......well lets just say her bark is worse than her bite.......I'm thinking about working at the children's Museum in Indianapolis, the biggest museum in the world.
I'm sorry your job sucks......mine does, too.......mom you're going in a nursing home!!!!!!

Sigh....A job other than fast-food is hard to find in a small town, god and the only other places are Movie Gallery and At the Movies....but you have to be...18 to work there.....which is outrageous....and annoying...

Yes, someones else who feels my small town blues. There was a job opening at Blockbuster that i was perfect for, but i have to be 18. I was freakin pissed.

You know something...all your jobs is what I would kill for. How would you feel if you worked at a Boys and Girls Club of America? Think how "nice" it would feel when you have to take care of fourteen kids by yourself while your "helpers" trail off talking on their stupid cellphones while management never seems to exist except checking on how everyone is doing in the summer while there is no air-conditioning and the ONLY relief there is for you is your lunch break. Yeah you guess it, this was me in my summer job. It sucks, it sucks hard. I really hate kids with a passion and NO ONE will convince me otherwise.

i work at an orphanage right now so please don't judge until you know the complete facts and yes i work alone with 14 kids or more, yes there's no air-conditioning or any relief other than fans even when it gets really hot out and yes it can be irritating but i like this job better than my other one.

I understand the issue with orphans and I feel sorry for them BUT there is one difference. The Boys and Girls club does not have orphans and they are all spoiled brats, why should I pity spoiled brats who have parents? Makes no sense and they have no respect for others as well even me when I really tried to make them listen to me just to quiet down. Its really annoying.:thumbdown:

My job officaly blows. i work at the local Sonic, and tonight i just had the worst night of work, EVER!. So i figure, i cant be the only one, so who else hates their job?

I work at Subway, it sucks, but I need the money so I can get into college, so I guess I can complain, but thats about it

Be thankful that you are being paid for the work you do. I worked at a pet store. I basically did everything ,the paid employes slacked off. I had to work whole departments without any help and sometimes as the paid empolyes watched. I had to put all the dead animals in the freezer. Stocking all the 60 Ibs bags of bird seed alone. I could go on and on. At first it wasn't all that bad because the original manager was nice, he let anyone who worked there walk around with the animals. If it was a snake, lizard, or bird we could work with them on our shoulders. After all, that was helping them become good pets. Then the new manager came in and things went completely down hill. I did all the work as the paid employes sat in the back talking. The new manager said I was the one slacking. When checking up on a sick animal, he yelled and called it slacking. So on the last day. I did what all the employes did.

I worked there for 5 months (maybe more).
Guess what? I didn't get paid any money at all during that time. Why? It was required of me to work for free, for my Animal Services class.

LOL my sister worked at this family fun center one time and had to dress up as a big Golf Ball and she got chased by kids all day. My aunt was Chuckie Cheese one time also, and she really didn't like that....

See that just pisses me off. What kinda a--hole manager does that!? Managers these day!

All i know is i want to work at a Borders or some other bookstore. I would love that. Those places are always nicely keept and i would love ot be able to make a place shine like they do. It sounds weird yes but it makes sence in my head. I just dont seem to have the correct words for it at the moment....

DT. I didn't realise you got PAID for your job. I used to do a similar job to you, but it was voluntary so I obviously didn't get paid, but I didn't resent that at all. Not that the children were orphans, but I did it because I enjoyed it but then eventually I didn't have enough time after school to do it, but I kind of miss that. Again, I'm just so suprised that you get paid, if I do a gap year next year I'm thinking of going to teach English to random orphans in Africa, but in order to do that I would have to PAY about £3000.

The only other place I would consider working is Accesorize because you get the best discount but the application form is currently sitting in my room, unfilled, as it has been for the last 3 months. Therefore, I have come to the conclusion that I am far too lazy to get a job, and being constantly impoverished is good practice for University.
