I recently received the dream shield and dream rod from Merlin. But he doesn't have the dream sword. Where can I find it?
Is there anyway to re-obtain the dream sword?

There is no way in kh 1 that you can use the dream sword again after Dive to the Heart, sadly. Not without a Game Shark or a device like that. Not even in FM. Sorry. ^^

Fun fact: a sword not unlike the Dream Sword can be seen inside of Ultima in KH1

You can use a cheat device. Also, the Ultima Weapon has the Dream Sword built into it, so there's that.

^^^ my thoughts exactly. Perhaps a Keychain you obtain during post-game sequences? After all, KHIII should have replay value.

In a way, I want the Dream Sword to be what the true X-Blade actually looks like (mainly because the Dream Sword is so normal looking, lol.)

Would be kind of anticlimactic that the Xblade turns out to be a regular sword that has the power to "unlock" the access to Kingdom Hearts, lol.

I don't think we'll ever really see the Dream Sword as a usable weapon throughout a main KH game, the signature weapon of Sora is after all the keyblade.
Besides, why would you want a sword anyway. Every cookie cutter RPG has a main character that uses a sword. Keyblades are much more awesome.

Sadly, without the use of hacks, there is no legitimate way to get the Dream Sword.
