what is the scientific explanation for when you have something you take it for granted like a girl... then when its gone you regret it you desperately want it back. Any geniuses in the house or an anthropologist? can anyone give me the scientific explanation or anything?

Re: Its baffling my mind help me?

1) This goes in Help and Support

2) There isn't much of a scientific explanation involved in the idea of "taking something for granted". When you are used to something, you become complacent about it and also "forget" life without it (seeing it as something is always there and always will be). Then, if/when you lose it, you find yourself feeling uncomfortably lost and incompetent because something that (in your mind) was always going to be there is now gone. Simple as that. Naturally, you'd want it back since your mind has associated it with necessity (or at least normality).
