Anyway, way back over the the orgininal topic, yes they do look similar, and this may have some meaning, but it does not mean they are clones or twins and what not, because they are not exactly the same.

If you would have read the thread, KL and NGD already stated why this is impossible. Since I doubt you'll look through the thread, though: A Shell is the leftover body and soul of a person. If you played the original game you would know that Kairi's heart rejoined her body and soul when Sora sacrificed himself in Hollow Bastion to free her heart.

Or simply put, Kairi is complete, and therefore has no "wandering Shell" counterpart...


As for them "looking similar," most characters from the same game series do. Why? Because they're typically all thin, about the same skin tone, have no visible scars or disfigurements, and simply are not detailed enough to have visible bone structures or whatnot. The only real differences are what they wear, hair and eye color, and muscle/height differences. So, when put that way, looking "similar" doesn't have to mean a thing.

I don't think that's true. Who needs visible scars/disfigurements to look different? The guy next to me doesn't have any visible scars/disfigurements that I know of and he looks alot different than me. Attire/Hair/Eyes/Muscle/height do make people look alot different, and those things are incorperated into SE's characters.

As I said, I'm sticking with the theory of Namine being Kairi's 'otherside', instead of her shell.

Well first, "scars and disfigurements" were just thrown in for good measure. There's a huge difference between video game characters and real people, though. When you look at the guy sitting next to you, you can compare his and your:
-Skin tone
-Height
-Weight
-Figure
-Jaw/face shape
-Eye color/shape
-Nose length/shape
-Ear length/shape/whatever
-Hair color/style
-Lash length
And whatever other little details I didn't bother listing. While characters like Lexaeus and Sora obviously don't look the same, they're still not realistic or detailed enough to make them entirely unique. that is true, and a couple of the charecters..well a lot of them have blue eyes, that is one of the reasons it can be hard to tell if there is a connection between charecters, or if they just look similiar.

ok first things first, i read threw this entire thread, and i did read that theory, a shell: in this game is not clearly stated, she said that she was kairi's shadow, nothing more nothing less, there has been no proof that anyone else in this game actually has a shell, by this i mean, every character in kingdom hearts probably has a shadow, sora-bhk , kairi-namine,
ansem-diz, etc. and you are wrong about the characters looking the same, sora doesnt look like riku does he, no, BHK is sora's gaurdian, he is sora's shadow; a real person, just another sora in another place.
