Ven does have a keychain, just look closely to the famitsu scans where he is next to the totem pole. magnify if you need to.

It probably fluctuates from the attack style he uses.
Note how that attack he is going through seems to be some sort of slash. The keyblade appears to have switched into some sort of slashing form.

That keyblade looks awesome. I've seen it before in the special ending of KH2 but not with such a clear image. A beautiful piece of work. Cannot wait for this game!! :36:
