KH2 Dilema

Since the release date for America is set for 28th of march, i've been pondering this for quite some time and sometimes i do get frustrated since im from Ireland but is there any way i could import NA KH2 to play on my european console? As news has it KH2 will not be entering Europe until late october and that is way to long to wait...

hmmmm......well I don't even know if there's a difference between American and European consoles so you could probably import it (I don't know how) but If the consoles are different you might need a mod, if there even is one that lets you play American games on your European console. October? really? that really really really sucks.

I have all the time in the world and money is not an issue. I do anything to get KH2 as soon as I can.

when it comes out in NA import it, but you will need a Swap Magic chip, European consoles only play PAL versions of a game, while the American ones play NTSC ones. so you will need Swap Magic so your PS2 will be ably to play NTSC games

If you don't know where to get the game, I suggest Amazon(US version). Since it's an import, though, it'll take about 6-8 weeks for it to ship. (I've imported from Japan before.)

Sorry, I don't know anything about the playstation codes, you could probably find out on the playsation website. (Not too sure, thought.)

Then buy the game (from Ebay or Amazon or something) then get a Swap Magic Card or Disk. I believe those are the only way to do it. You do NOT need a mod chip. Swap Magic is the best way, it wont ruin your console.

dont you have to take the front of the disk tray off to use the slide card?

I've found this site, it has everything i need but ill also need a PS2 slide card too. "This item requires the use of a PS2 Slide Card" - what are they?

Ps2 Slide card is the slide tool you need to also modify your ps2
you should buy the swapmagicdisks & Slidetool combo

In short the procedure for booting a backup is like this:
1. Insert a Swap Magic Disc in your PlayStation2 (use CD or DVD version)
2. Wait for the screen to say (load program/insert disc) - that takes a few seconds.
3. Use the specially designed Slide-Card *
4. Insert your CD or DVD backup or import game
5. Use the specially designed Slide-Card
6. Press X on joypad and the game starts - and you are now playing backups easily without a mod chip!

*If you are using the magic switch you would have put them in place before booting the ps2, and you simply skip step 3 and go straight to step 4
