KH3D Preorder Gift Speculation

Hi everyone! I'm new to these forums, but not to the KH series! Been playing them since 2002, when my friend told me about it and I feel in love! I've played almost every game, haven't beaten Re:CoM, since it's kinda boring... same story and stuff, and almost done with BbS(only reason I got a PSP), and probably won't get Re:Coded. Now I'm super excited for DDD!!! The only reason I'm getting a 3DS right here!

As for preorder bonuses, I'm REALLY hoping for a limited edition 3DS! Please!!! It's the only reason I'm getting that console! (yea, I'll get other games, but I want KHDDD to be my first!). I wouldn't mind decals, or figurings, but I want a special 3DS more than any of those! Here's hoping! Can NOT wait for this game!!!

Like Sora's crown Pendent, The Dream Eater Symbol, a heart, or Neku and the Players' player pin symbol, etc?

Yeah, something like that. For the strap, anyways. For a charm, I was thinking those things and maybe a Dream Eater, or the Avatar Menu phone charms, but with Sora and Riku in their DDD clothes.

If I don't get special decals, a Keyblade Stylus, a Kingdom Hearts-themed 3DS case or a Dream Eater figurine, or some kind of in-game content, I will be disapointed.

A keyblade stylus is unlikely because not only would it not fit into the 3DS, but all stylus have a slim shape with a pointy end...the keyblade has to really blunt ends on both sides, it would have to have a random point just sticking out of one end which would look odd. A Dream Eater case seems to expensive for a pre-order gift (considering the past ones have been either a flat piece of paper or plastic). Honestly, if you are expecting one of those, I can't help but feel like you are setting yourself up for dissapointment.

I'd be surprised if a Kingdom Hearts 3DS came out so soon after the Zelda 3DS. Square has to know that KH would never make as much as Zelda, so it doesn't seem like a smart idea to put out a special edition 3DS so soon. -shrugs-

The MGS 3DS is still coming out despite the Zelda one having been out already. The thing about limited edition consoles is that they really only target those who absolutely love the game considering they will be stuck with that design for a while. Someone who isn't a huge fan of Zelda and doesn't want to commit to a Triforce on their 3DS might opt for a different color. I think SE is betting on those people who like KH more than Zelda and are waiting to get a 3DS when DDD comes out.

The only problem with the stylus idea is that there's no way it'd fit in the 3DS. =( I guess they could have a Keyblade connected to a non-expandable stylus-shaped bit of plastic to hold it in, but...

Then again, Nintendo has released stylus' that don't fit into the DS system as preorder bonuses. Look at the Dialga and Palkia stylus for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.

Hopefully SE will consider the limited edition console worldwide as a promotion for the 10th anniversary or something?

I'd love an artbook (which will never happen. those closest thing to an artbook was that book PAL got for preorder that had game renders. it was dull.)

Even better would be the OST. I honestly think it should be standard for games to come with the OST.

It would be cool if they do what they've done with Type-0 and FFXIII-2, and release more than one version with variations in the items that come with it (i.e. a lesser version has the Mini CD while the higher one has the OST).

True, for the most part, but I still think something like that would be better than some minuscule thing like pins or stickers. At least 20 pages containing sketches and different designs for characters. Obviously nothing grand like the artbook that come with the LE of MGS HD. Heck, even something akin to Dark Soul's would be neat, despite how small it was.

They... rarely, if not never have sketches etc. The BbS one just had character renders. The Dissidia one was good at least for showing the Nomura art in addition to the Alt costumes + EX Mode renders, otherwise most of them are just renders and nothing really good i.e. concept art etc. that is harder to find everywhere else.

Yeah, I was thinking that it might be bit too much to ask from S-E, that's why I threw in Dark Souls. Dark Souls' artbook is just this tiny book, with a really bad spine, that mostly consists of official renders.

We could have official renders and all that jazz for a KH artbook. But, yeah, I'm not expecting anything like that at all.

If Japan has never gotten a KH artbook, I doubt they would make one for the rest of the world as a preorder gift. I think Nomura needs to release an artbook of all of his work from storyboards and sketches to never released artwork. Never will happen, though :c
