Jonathan Stall sat alone on the deserted bus stop, watching as what few cars there were sped by. He was wearing one ear piece of his iPod on, his other ear free to hear any signs of a bus nearby. The sun was blazing on his head and there wasn't a cloud in sight. "Damn it's hot", he whispered to himself as he tilted his head back into the shade of a nearby tree. He shot up the volume of his music and closed his eyes. Just a little while I suppose, it can't be too long. He relaxed there for a bit and started to doze off.

Something brushed against his leg and he woke up with a start. "W-what?" he said with a start. It was a black, stray dog that was sniffing at his shoe. "Shoo, get lost you mutt", he said as he lightly kicked the dog away. How long have I been out? It's still not here? It suddenly hit him that maybe all of this was a joke, organized by the administrator for kicks. He got up to leave, sighing at the thought of his wasted time. As he turned around to walk back home he was startled by the sound of a dog barking behind me. Ugh, can't that thing just shut up and leave me alone. He continued on walking, ignoring the dog and dragging his feat as he went. The dog persisted on barking and he tried his best to ignore it. When he couldn't stand it any further his body whipped around. "JUST SHUT U---", he froze, staring at the sight that lay before him. The dog wasn't barking at him, it was barking at an old bus down the street heading towards him. He made his way back to the bus stop just as the vehicle came screeching to a stop before him.

The doors of the aging old school bus creaked open. One of the headlights was broken, a window was cracked, and old signs of graffiti could be seen on the side. "Umm, thanks boy", he said as he patted the dogs head and walked inside. As he climbed the steps, he took a moment to scan the area before he sat down. Charming, he thought, this place is worse inside than out. As he approached the seat he decided to sit at, his eyes met with the only other people on the bus. He didn't recognize any faces and he didn't expect to. Finally sitting down and making himself comfortable, his only thought was if they were heading to the same place he was. "Whatever", he said, placing the hood of his jacket over his eyes and putting on both ear pieces of his iPod. "I guess I'm along for the ride", he whispered as he felt the wheels of the bus finally start moving beneath him.

The crease in her forehead only seemed to grow deeper and deeper as Amy sat in deep though. Why had her mom nearly shoved her out of the house to get on a bus to meet people knew online? To the eighteen-year-old girl, it seemed like a complete one-eighty turn around from what she believed would have been her mother's true response to receiving a private message on the online forums, KHInsider, that she often frequented. What had gotten in to her?

"Hmmm..."

Staring at nothing in particular (actually, looking beyond the road), Amy sat on the curb outside her house beside a small bag of luggage, waiting the bus that would take her to "come face-to-face with those who are close to her..." At least, that's what the private message had said from the "BR" Activist. BR Activist...." What the hell was 'BR' anyway? Thinking back to surfing the KHI forums, she couldn't recall ever coming across a section or thread that even related to the private message she had received the previous day. What did it mean? Why was her mom so willing to send her away to see these people sh eonly knew online? It didn't seem quite right, and for that reason alone it caused butterflies to flutter and churn in her stomach, almost making her ill.

"Okay, okay, okay," she mused quietly to herself. Closing her hazel eyes, the teen filled up her lungs with air, and exhaled slowly in an attempt to calm herself. There's no point in getting anxious over this, she reasoned, This is perfectly safe. That's why she's letting me go. It'll be supervised. Yes. That's it.

Feeling that that was valid reasoning, Amy concentrated on her breathing, going back to the yoga she had been taught for the past few months. She would calm herself until the bus had arrived. Maybe she wasn't worried about what awaited her at all. Maybe she was just nervous about meeting these people for the first time? Yeah. That had to be it. Breath. Inhale. Exhale. In. Exhale.

The sound of a large vehicle rolling slowly down the street could be distinctly heard. Slowly opening her eyes, the teen watched as the bus approached. She knew this was the vehicle that was here to take her to the "get-together." Sighing, she rose to her feet, picking up her duffle-bag as she did so. An emptiness decended upon her as she waited for the bus to stop in front of her. Amy's mother hadn't even waited with her until the transport had arrived. Why? With spirits down, the teen girl took one last glance towards her house. Perhaps her mother had been watching? No. Not even that. Something was definately not right, unless her mom... No. She didn't want this to be her last thoughts before her vacation.

Finally the bus had halte din front of her house. Wrenching her gaze from her house, Amy ran towards the bus' door, boarding it as soon as the doors opened. Standing beside the bus driver, the girl stopped, clutching her bag in both hands across her chest. Blinking twice, she stared at the people who were also on the bus. Who were they? Did she know them. Pushing away her anxiety, she bravely walked past the driver and to an empty seat. Hopefully the ride would not be too awkward.

Kayla was up all nigt talking to everyone that was going on this trip. She got pictures of people and ideas of what they might look like so she had someone to talk to on the bus without having to really ask. She was so excited to just couldn't see a wink.

Kayla woke up about seven and took a shower, got dresses and packed a few things for a weekend. She wasn't sure what to bring so she just packed what she thought people would wear regularly. A sweater, tennis shoes, flip flops, couple shirts, shorts, and jeans. She packed her make up and a few hair things...she wasn't much for doing hair.

She ran down the stairs grabbed the Cheerios and practicly shoveled them down her throat. She rain out the door and found the bus was wakign for her and she waved good-bye to her family, and realized her mother was crying.

Strange for a girl only to be gone for a few days. She took a seat in the middle of the bus next to an emergency window. A wierd hting she lies to do, maybe because she wants to be a hero and help others if they ever get in an accident. Or she has a phobia of a bus flipping, either way, she liked the emergency window seat.

Ken walked down the stairs of his home, in his boxers. He knew he had forgotten something, but he wasn't sure what it was. He got to the bottem of the stairs, and still thought about it furiously. He turned towards the kitchen and headed to it, his dog following him; wagging it's tail. He started to rummage through the cuboard in their kitchen, looking for cereal. He pulled out a box of lucky charms, pulling out a bowl and a spoon, and milk. He made himself a bowl, and put away the milk.

After he sat down at the table and ate his cereal he thought about his missing thought; thinking more about it than one usually would. It...was important.....OH CRAP he thought. He quickly ran upstairs, forgetting to put away his bowl, and went into his room. He looked around his desk; which was a mess and saw it. The note was there, and on it, the message he had recieved earlier from the forums.

He quickly got dressed and shuddered at the thought of the bus leaving without him. He took in a hurry his cellphone, his watch, and his PSP. Well no one likes to be bored on long bus trips right? He ran down the stairs, and he told his mother he was going on a trip for two days. Before she could respond Ken slipped his shoes on before he walked out the door, waving his cell phone over his head, to show his mom he had means of comunication. Ken started to run, heading for the bus stop near by. A bus stood by it, and it's doors creaked open as he walked infront of it.

Ken quickly looked at the bus; seeing there where few people on it. He then asked the driver "Is this the bus to the KHI convention???". The bus driver nodded, and did a hand motion for him to come inside. He did just that and walked to the back of the bus. He pulled out his PSP and started to watch a movie, the speakers blared with life as the movie came on. The bus started to move and he looked back at his house.

Jake woke up. "It's morning already," He thought as he rolled over. The alarm screeched in his ear again. With a groan, he jumped down from his bed. Today was the big KHI convention. His parents were normally pretty cool about letting him go to different events so he found it no surprise when they actually encouraged him to go. He did his normal morning routine and had a bowl of Fruity Pebbles as his father commented on the fact that he'd actually be off the computer for a while to which he replied that he was bringing it with him. His parents kissed him, hugged him tightly, and wished him good luck. "Good luck?" He said.
"With meeting those forum friends," His mother said somewhat hesitantly. She seemed to know something that he didn't. Shrugging it off, he grabbed a bag for the trip.

As he walked outside and saw the bus, his stomach lurched. He'd be meeting the people that he had spent so much time talking to in chat and around the forums. Jake considered many of these people friends though he had never met him. He looked forward to meeting "BO", "Scarlet" and "T/2". They had all traded pictures in the chat the night before and told each other their real names. With a smile on his face, Jake boarded the bus.

Looking around, he saw Kayla sitting near the middle. Being a somewhat shy person, he sat in the seat accross from her. He didn't want to make the first move. "I don't know what to say," He said looking over at Kayla. Looking towards the back, he saw Ken watching a movie on his PSP. As he looked around, it seemed that everyone hadn't gotten on yet. With a sigh, he looked over at Kayla and pulled out his laptop to mess aroung in photoshop.

Victoria leaned against the Honda Pilot that was resting in her driveway. Sporting a pair of dark blue jeans along with an elbow-length blouse and a white tee over it, the penetrating chill of the automobile’s metallic shell was enough to keep her from drifting into slumber. Victoria abhorred rising early in the morning since she had lost the comfort of having a full nine hours of peace. Still that fact did not stop her from pondering the purpose of a certain message she had received the night before. Originating from a site, by the name of KHInsider, was a private message. Not a message usual for one such as Victoria, in fact, something quite the opposite of which she would have expected to see in a lifetime. An invitation it was, however, Victoria thought it strange due to the fact it was from someone she had never met. “This is out of the ordinary… Bleh, I figure I might as well check it out.” Exploring the contents of the private message, Victoria found that it was an invitation to a convention. Not just any convention at that, it was a KHInsider convention.

Casually lifting her hand over her mouth to suppress a yawn that was emitted from her, Victoria turned her head in the direction from where the rusty sound of an engine could be heard growing louder every passing second. Pushing her backside off the car with a slight grunt, Victoria picked up her duffel bag and trotted over to the bus as it came to a halt. As soon as the entrance doors to the bus slid open, Victoria quickly hopped in, taking a seat at the farthest end of the bus. "Whatever this is, it could be fun. Might as well get used to it.”

Rhea saw Kayla sit down, not far from her. She promised herself that she would try to make at least one friend. As she looked around, her stomach lurched. She'd be meeting the people that she had spent so much time talking to in chat and around the forums. Rhea considered many of these people the friends she never really had, but she had them nevertheless.

She looked forward to meeting "BO_dbl._sizzle", ".Scarlet Letter." and "T/2", or Trigger as she always called him, which seemed more liable to understand from his original name. They had all traded pictures in the chat the night before and told each other their real names. She didn't really want to, but she felt like she could trust them somehow. A distant connection, like the internet itself.

Looking around once more, she saw Kayla again. Being the shy person, second thoughts about socializing with her came to mind. But then her newly forming outgoing side said to go for it. Her mind was at a stuggle now. Who to agree with, she didn't know. Looking towards the back, she saw Ken watching a movie on his PSP. Everyone had yet to come. With a sigh, she decided to get it over with, and walked to Kayla's seat. She wiggled to the edge of the seat, a somewhat large gap still between them. Exhaling, she made herself slightly more comfortable, regaining her composure.

"Umm....hi. I'm Rhea." she said calmy. Wierd, what she said felt somewhat natural towards her. She found herself sitting somewhat comfortably now, as she smiled a bit, as she looked at her, and then at the front of the bus, awaiting a response.

Mackenzie, we'll just go with Kenzie for short since it's such a long name, had been up for hours. Sleep was one of those things, that hadn't come easy to her last night. She had packed her things last night and stayed online till 4 in the morning. She had taken those few steps, 3 or four, between her desk and her bed like a lumbering bear and was asleep before she knew it. Now, she was awake again. She had eaten a breakfast of blueberry pancakes with strawberry syrup, something she had been craving at the time but now she wished she had a bit of something else. Oh well... she thought to herself. I'll get something at the convention. Not that hard. She grabbed her things and left her house Her parents were out running a marathon at the moment, her brother was at some friends house, and her sister had volunteer marching band practice so she locked the door to the house and pocketed the key. She walked to the bus stop she never expected she would use. It was for the local bus to go into the nearby city and to the shopping centers as well. She ussually jsut got a ride with someone else. They said they owuld pick her up here though and so she leaned against the sign. There was no bench.

Finally, about a half hour later she could heard the bus coming and she picked her bag up off the ground. she didn't pay much attention to the look of the busy, it wasn't all that importent anyways. It was her ride and she would deal. She noticed, that some seats were already filled and so she took an empty row of seats somewhat in the middle of the bus. She decided not to talk to anyone at the moment. She wasn't sure who was who anyways. She pulled out a book from her bag and began to read. It happened to be a book on vampires she was reading for reference on a charecter she might decide to make. But she wasn't sure yet, she still had to owrk on Nira as well as that albino pirate she had in her head. It was just a thought though.

Sarah raised her eyes, waking from her nap.She saw a girl, not too older then her, sit down a few seats infront of her. Instantly, she recognized her as Kenzie. Eager to finally meet her friend, Sarah rose from her seat. The bus lurched forward, making Sarah fall to the floor. She heard laughter behind her,but ignored it

"Kenzie! At last,I get to meet you.Its me..Ultima Keyblade! Fellow wolf lover and rper!"

Sarah grabbed onto the edge of the bus seat, helping herself up. She rubbed the back of her head, grinning at Kenzie. Sarah was always a clutz, but she remained cute as ever. Sure, the school kids never liked her for that. But her forum friends liked her for who she was.

Kayla smiled back at the girl warmly, then realized who it was. Kayla couldn't believe her eyes. The person she has been wanting to meet over all the others was sitting right next to her.

"Rhea! FL!? Oh my Gosh! I can't believe it is you!" Kayla screamed and gave her a quick hug, not believing her eyes. "I've want to meet you for so long, and here you are!"

Kayla looked around the bus to see what everyone else was doing, and it was starting to fill up now with people. She was glad she wasn't the only one that decided to go too. Kayla took a deep breath then looked back at Rhea.

"So how are you?" Kyla asked Rhea who seemed alittle shaken after the out-of-nowhere hug. She was kind of a shy type, unlike Kayla, but Kayla knew that all shy people warmed up fast.

Looking up from her book in tiem to see Sarah fall to the ground she couldn't help but smile and laugh a little. It seemed like something her friends from school would do. Kenzie moved her things from the chair next to her to the floor.

"Have a seat then Sarah. I won't take up the whole row."

she marked her page in the book and put it back in her bag pulling out her Ipod shuffle that was covered in a black case with one print on it. The print was of the Jolly Roger symbol. She had to dig at Five Below to find a design she liked. It had only been three bucks which was a pretty good bargain. Five Below had everything, it was great. She put in one headphone leaving the other off so she could hear anyone who talked to her. That would be rude if she didn't listen to anyone. Besides this WAS the trip of a lifetime wasn't it? Meet the other members of the forum.

Jake looked up from his computer to see the bus had almost filled up. Hearing the laughs and other sounds of joy, he looked over to the seat accross from him. Kayla and Rhea were smiling and talking really fast. It was as though the two were friends since birth. Smiling, he looked back to his computer screen and turned off his computer. He still had about 5 hours of battery left after his mother had bought him a brand new battery.

Rising from his seat, he moved towards the back of the bus. He took a seat next to Ken. "I have to be outgoing if I'm going to make any friends," He thought. With a welcoming smile on his face, he turned to Ken and asked, "What are you watching? It sounds interesting. Oh, my name is Jake." After a short pause, he added, "You might've known me as Sora_HeroOfLight."

"....Ultima?" Jonathan whispered to himself. He eyes slowly opened his eyes and quickly looked around, unaware of where he was. After a few moments, he realized that he was on the bus and calmed down. He noticed his ear pieces fell out and he had undoubtedly fallen asleep. All of this was of little importance though, as he had just been woken up by the most unlikely string of words. Did someone just introduce herself as Ultima Keyblade?

After he had obtained his composure, he slowly rose from his seat and looked towards the back of the bus. There, chatting with another girl, was a very familiar pony tailed girl with hazel eyes. He remembered seeing her once in a photograph with a....sea lion of all things. She looked much prettier in person than in that photograph. So the other KHI members are on this bus as well. Maybe I should go introduce myself? He scanned the bus once more to see if he recognized anyone else, but he doubted it. After a quick look he made his way to the back.

Arriving at the seat where the two girls were chatting, he realized they hadn't even noticed him. "Umm...hi", he said in a not so shy yet not so confident voice. "I'm Jonathan, but I believe you'd know me better as TwilightSora". He offered her his hand.

Rhea was shocked by the hug. She was starting to get the hang of this socializing thing. It was just like the chat room in KHInsider, where she would always talk to BO there. Everything just seemed so natural at this point.

"I'm fine. What about you?" she said, with a warm smile. She looked around once again. She seemed a bit of paranoia today, but people were coming nevertheless. She looked at Kayla again. This bus ride didn't seem so bad anymore. She even blushed a bit from the hug, but she tried to ignore that.

All of a sudden, loneliness was the last thing on her mind.

Victoria popped her head over the front of the bus seat, taking in that activities going on around her. “So there are other members here also? Maybe this trip might be worth while anyway.” Looking around, Victoria could see that everyone had already begun to converse with each other. Introductions were being given out all around. “Well, I guess since everyone is introducing themselves, it would be logical to do likewise.”

Butterflies began to swell up in her stomach as she thought about introducing herself. Victoria was never one to be social, oh no, it was quite the opposite. Lurching forward, Victoria folded her arms and placed them upon the back of the bus seat in front of her. Gazing toward the seats in front of her she observed as a young man introduced himself to a woman.

"I'm Jonathan, but I believe you'd know me better as TwilightSora".

Even though it was quite rude to interrupt, Victoria took the chance to introduce herself regardless.

“You’re TwilightSora? I’m Victoria; well, my username is Scarlet Letter.”

Gathering the other members was a long, long task. However, much to Amy's surprise the bus driver didn't make one stop. It was odd.... wasn'tit regulation for them to stop every four hours or so? Stop! She cmmanded herself, realizing she was once again looking too deeply into this. This was her vacation! It was time for the over-analyzing teen to relax and let her troubles float away. Come back to the breath. Come back to the breath... This mantra she repeated to herself, compelling her drifting thoughts to focus on the rate of her breating and to only observe without judgement what was going on around her.

Stop after stop more people boarded, slowly filling the bus. She watched as they walked up the stairs, past the driver and warily took a seat. That nervous feeling began to nestle once again in her stomach. Who were these teenagers that entered? Could she recognize them from KHInsider? Shifting around in her seat, so that she sat on her knees while looking over the back of her own seat, Amy watched curiously as they set their bags down and sat. Like her, they looked uncertain about their own surroundings. It must have been the same anxiety, wondering whether or not they would recognize any here and be able to turn those online friendships into real life friendships.

As more people filled in, slowly a few of them began to converse. Not eavesdropping, but simply listening, Amy observed as the teens began to find out one anothers' screen names. It seemed there were quite a few people she recognized: Ultima, TwilightSora, and a few others. Now her heart was racing, and not from nerves anymore; it was excitement. She knew these people! It wasn't the n00bs she was afraid of encountering, for having been so cruel to them online. It was people she actually converesed with wih no problem on the chat!

All the shyness leaving her, Amy got up from her seat and boldly walked towards where the teens found one another. A smile spread across her face, making her look very inviting and easy to approach.

"Let's see if you can guess who I am," she said playfully. "My name is Amy and apparently the newpeople are afraid of me. I couldn't imagine why."

Women. Jonathan had found himself surrounded by them. To his right, coming from the back of the bus, was a rather nice looking Japanese girl, with astonishing eyes. To his left was a slightly gothic looking girl, with hazel eyes and chestnut hair. So many women. He was starting to feel himself sweat. He was so transfixed on assessing the situation he barely realized the girl to his right was speaking. “You’re TwilightSora? I’m Victoria; well, my username is Scarlet Letter.” He offered her his right hand. "Hi, nice to...", he was now aware that the girl to his left was speaking. "My name is Amy and apparently the new people are afraid of me. I couldn't imagine why." He offered this girl his left hand; his right still being held by Victoria. "...meet you", he said slowly. His head was spinning. It took him a few moments to realize the odd pose he was in and decided to sit down on the chair behind him, releasing his grips on them. That was interesting.

"So....Ultima, Scarlet, and Amy?" he said, looking at all three of them, "Nice to meet you all. I still haven't found out your real name, Ultima, or your forum name, Amy." It was at this time that he remembered there was someone behind Ultima. She was a blond haired girl with light blue eyes. "And you would....be?" he inquired.
