Just finished Atlantica, hell, the last Ursala fight is so broken as hell (Proud mode). I have to let my teammates do all the work and just dodge w/e she throws at me or she destroys me lol

I'm not altogether sure whether I was attacking the pot with magic that matched the color, or was 'effective' against the color.
It seemed like I was mixing between the two methods a lot, so I could not really gather what I was really doing.

I also beat Neverland with no problems, which is a big change from last time since I remember the boss in the Cabin giving me a lot of grief when I first played. And that was on an easier difficulty. I was surprised I managed to clear the level without dying on Proud once.

Hollow Bastions coming up next, though. There's going to be grief there. I know it.

Nah, I'm talking about the boss fight against big Ursala. During the first fight, you basically just have to spam magic on the pot and it'll get the job done.

For Big Ursala, it was just a huge slash, slash, heal, heal for me. My team members have a habit of dying within seconds.

For Ursula, I remember relying heavily on Aero magic. It worked really well this time, too :3

I don't understand why a person who has never played the original games would be the person who reviews the remaster.

To be fair, I feel like this game was made so newer generations/audiences can judge the series, gauging reactions while hopefully drawing in more players for the inevitable conclusion. It's obviously going to be a huge nostalgia trip for us who love the original, but I do much prefer KHI's more rounded perspective on the matter, because they have the experience to critic the classic held up to the remaster. (I also appreciate that this review wasn't sugar-coated.) It is odd though how the reviewer over at Euro Gamer could genuinely enjoy KH2 & BBS, yet did not backtrack to play the original.

Well, my point was mainly that since this is a remaster, only people who've played the original will know what's updated. This guy who did this review for Euro Game doesn't know about the original visuals and music and controls, so he can't appropriately review the updated version in regards to how it stacks up to the original. He's reviewing a remaster like it's a new game. A fetch quest in Wonderland shouldn't affect the score of a remaster. Sound glitches, Days being boring for the casual fan, scary zoomed in HD fish faces, those should affect the score of a remaster.

Small question, in the original KH I remember beating giant Ursula by just swimming behind her and whacking the back of her head. She couldn't do a thing about it. Is it like that in the ReMIX, too? It will be a while before I get the game but I thought I'd ask now.

Yes you can still do so, I did so in order to beat her myself. ^ ^

Could someone check something for me please?

I'm right about to go to End of the World (Proud mode), so before heading off, I decided to level grind a bit and hunt for some trinities I missed. I went to Halloween Town (Manor Ruins) and found a red trinity. Problem is, I can't activate it. It's like the game doesn't know that there's a trinity there.

I'm not sure, but I believe this trinity wasn't in the original version (I think they switched a red trinity, 'cause I remember one being in the manor, which was gone now).

Does anyone have this problem as well? You need to find all trinities to get all the trophies so, this is a problem.. Thanks beforehand!

EDIT: exited the area and re-entered, seems to work now. Weird.

EDIT 2: got killed by, what I think is, a new Final Mix Heartless. Re-entered the area and the trinity doesn't work again.. My best guess is that the thing only works when that new Heartless is around in the area... very weird.

EDIT 3: seems like this new Heartless (which is a robot, btw) is pretty rare as well. Re-entered Manor Ruins several times now, defeated all the enemies and no sign of the Heartless, and no working Trinity.

EDIT 4: destroying all the enemies in the area + the Bridge area before didn't do anything. Gonna exit the world and go back to Manor Ruins.

EDIT 5: found the rare enemy again, and the trinity worked. Didn't get killed this time (phew). So, here's the deal:

The red trinity in Manor Ruins (Halloween Town, where Oogie Boogie's HQ was) ONLY works when the Heartless called "Chimera" is in the area. This Heartless looks robotic and will summon Gargoyles during the battle. This trinity is important for trophies. If not activated, you won't be able to collect both the trinities (obviously) and the treasure chests ('cause you get a treasure chest when activating the trinity). This in return is important for collecting all the trophies.

EDIT 6:

Having this problem as well it's the last trinity point I need too, I have killed the Chimera and the trinity is on the side of the Arch but is not activating when I go near it, anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

@king_mickey rule: I think I've heard about the Chimaera...But the whole trinity problem is new to me. I'll see about it when I finally get there. Thanks for the heads-up, tho! Red trinity is my fave~

Easiest way to beat it? Parry the light orbs back at it. It will recover and get that tiny health bar again, but the orbs are also one of its main attacks, so parrying it helps to avoid dying ^_^

I just NEED to know, in the scenes where the mouths of characters aren't as clearly defined and just seem to "open/close" unlike in the higher quality cutscenes, is that fixed? I hope you all know what I mean.

I feel like SE actually did almost everything possible right with this collection. They tweaked the gameplay to make it better, they added a cutscene skipper that works anytime, no major technical issues, and most importantly: no voice redubbing.

My only peeves that I had was the choppy sound occasionally in Traverse Town (much less in the rest of the game) and the lack of trophy stacking. I really, really want them to add trophy stacking in KH2.5, because you would have to play through BBSFM 12 times for the platinum if they don't have it.

Yes, there is. You will unlock the FM exclusive "Another Side, Another Story [deep dive]". All you have to do is seal all Keyholes & beat the Hades Cup.
