Am I the only one that finds it interesting that the next update concerning KHUx focuses on Elrena and Brain/Blaine? The update coming in January 31st? The date that the Secret Ending also releases?

First, your heart doesn't need to be destroyed to go to the Final World because the whole point is that's the place where hearts go when they are not ready to pass on. It might have been misinterpreted with the heart and body "dying" (after all, it's structured in Japanese).

Sora was shocked and exclaimed "Naminè?!", understandably so. The shock was about Naminè, not Nameless Star.

And second, you wouldn't find this on Youtube because it's a STREAM. A stream is watching someone play the game in real time. Things like Twitch cater to that. It was Bizkit's(?) stream I believe. This information comes from the people that have watched it. Both from ResetEra and Twitter.

The name Strelitzia is not said, but it is heavily implied it's her. She's the only other dead character that has a semblance of relevance to be granted a cutscene and we know she's offed in KHUx.

One star is Naminè.

The other star is Nameless, but once more...

On the other hand, it looks like Gula and Ava are leaning to be the other most blatant couple next to Sora/Kairi and Sora/Riku (don't @ me). I was like, whoa, in Back Cover. And now with the Epilogue he's the only one who cares enough to ask for details on her.

If Ava is Namine and she has a warm relationship with Gula, then I would like to believe that he really is Roxas.
I, as a Shipper NamiRoku, would be very happy about this and it would give more connection between the two.

Hearts cannot be fully destroyed anyways due to the whole "memories are immortal" -thing we know since Chain of Memories. But I do think we now know where hearts that are freed from the Heartless go when their body is still running around as a Nobody and you do not have a artificial KH like Xemnas' in KH 2 around which captures them.
Heck, even there is only a Heartless I'd say in its way to re completion a heart passes through the cloud world to be reunited with its body.
When hearts who have no own body like Roxas travel to their new designated body (the replicas they talk about) they likely pass through there too.
Damn, I just remember that Nomura once spoke about how Ansem SoD always returned despite being decisively defeated more than once. SoDs heart simply took a seat in the cloud world and Xehanort who apparently knows the power of awakening kept bringing him back in some form.

This means that with his KH, Xemnas found a way to intercept hearts on their way to this destination and force them to form a KH.

Normally Heartless steal hearts so it is a bit odd that the Guardians of Light + Donald & Goofy were actually "killed" instead of having their hearts stolen.
Xemnas does say once they need their hearts for the X-blade but not their souls, so maybe what the Demon Tide actually did was targeting their souls?

I'm not sure what kind of role Ava is gonna play seeing as my theory is that she's Naminé and that she's definitely on the Light's side seeing as she didn't turn up with the others. I know people have said her symbol is among the chess pieces of the Darknesses but I just don't see her actually siding with them. In Back Cover, the other Foretellers were all kinda jerks in their own way (Aced wanting to overthrow, Ira willing to kill Gula because of what Aced said, Invi spying and reporting back to Ira and Gula knowing there was a traitor and trying to take out Aced at his weakest) but she never did anything but her role and tried to stop all the conflict.

That sounds awfully like different timelines on first glance, but it may also mean just an event that can influence the future and that everything is NOT decided by fate.
As in there are several ways the future can unfold as is usually the case and depending on which characters/hearts chose which decision the worldline and how it goes on changes.

In Star Wars there is a similar concept called shatterpoints which are events of such importance that they can change the flow of the entire galaxy. Sometimes the decisions of multiple people influence a shatterpoint but sometimes it's only one or two people.
In the Star Wars universe Jedi Master Mace Windu and the Emperor are very skilled in noticing shatterpoints but even they cannot predict every outcome there might be.

As I'm playing KH III now it does look like the heart of the Riku Replica wasn't always inside Riku.

In the Realm of Darkness while looking for Aqua Riku and Mickey face a Demon Tide and you have to defeat it with playable Riku.
After you win a second Demon Tide shows up and swallows Riku whole and it seems Demon Tides kill their prey by drowning them (Riku shows appropriate symptoms).
While he's struggling not to suffocate a voice speaks up saying it didn't expect Riku coming to the RoD and offers to help. Then Riku gets spit out by the Demon Tide and his Keyblade is broken.
Immediately afterwards the whole speech of the "other me" known from the trailers happens so I'd assume that Repliku's heart joined with Riku's just during this part where he was trapped in the Demon Tide.

Having just seen the cutscene where Riku and Mickey come from the RoD empty handed they do play up the fact that Ven's heart awakened inside Sora in DDD.

Just like in KH 1 with Kairi and KH 2 with Roxas, Ven asserts his presence through Sora.
When Yen Sid and Mickey lament there's no one left who is close enough to Aqua so that they can follow her even into the Deep Abyss (which is even farther down the darkness than the RoD) Sora puts his hand on his chest over his heart for an extended period before barking out that he will save Aqua.

Donald and Goofy are irritated and remind him that he still hasn't reclaimed the necessary powers, to which Sora claims he doesn't know why he said that.
And that is since it was Ven, not Sora.

If there is or ever was an actual individual named Braig/Xigbar or if it was always Luxu speaking and acting is indeed an important question.

And now I do realize that him constantly referring to the "angry look" from Ventus (and later Sora too) may go further and deeper than the chronological first time we see during the finale of BBS.
Heck, him seeing Xion as Ven in Days may also have deeper reasons than thought so far.

If he's indeed the new main villain in the second saga I think that's what's called a "Dragon Ascendant" trope since he posed as Xehanort's right hand man/dragon for all the time yet now takes center stage.

imo it looks like Luxu is stealing not only bodies, but identities and names as well.imo Braig was a thing (emphasis on the past tense) but Luxu hijacked him. Note that at the beginning of BBS Braig has brown eyes, and the whole deal with Anti-Aqua shows that gold eyes isn't a trait of Xehanort but of Darkness.

I also wouldn't call it dragon ascendant trope, since Luxu make it clear he's still working under Master of Master's agenda instead of his own.

If it adds anything, her special attack has a flower/petal motif.

And Invi's keyblade has thorns/vines pattern... Add it with Lauriam and Strelitzia's names, thats 4 character with plant motifs. And there is the group of surviving keykids itself, Dandelion... Gee, I wonder if there will be UX stuff with names like Kalpataru or Yggdrasil.

Yin yang themes has always been part of KH, KH has been incorporated plenty of Eastern philosophies into it tbh. The concept of Heart/Soul, Mind and Body split is also part of Eastern philosophy (like Fate Extella also have that)

So with the heart and wings symbol also appeared on cover of Book of Prophecies and Yen Sid's tower, I think the heart and wing chess piece is MoM. Think of it as his logo.

Also, continuing of the theme of master vs betrayed friends' pupils theme, like the TAV against MX concept, I think for the next arc we will have Sora and the dandelion union leaders facing against the foretellers, just my guess.

Well, Xehanort also stole Ansem's name so that "runs in the family" for KH villains it seems.

As for the gold eyes, lol, that just means since game canon overrides interview canon that the stuff Nomura said about the eyes being an indicator of a deep connection to Xehanort either no longer holds weight or it means a connection to someone or something else.

If that would be the case though Luxu is diverging from his role now because his role is to only watch and not interfere.
I am not even sure if constantly body hopping and staying around personally is part of his role as the MoM explicitly stated for him to pass on No Name so he can see the future, yet in the epilogue he claims No Name back to wield himself.

I don't know if it is the same Chirithy, but fact is that in the ending there is a Chirithy that is watching TAV and when Ven spots it, it proceeds to shyly hide behind a tree.

Ven apparently says something to it (I only saw a screenshot, not the actual ending) and opens his arms as if to embrace someone. Then the Chirithy darts over and jumps into his arms.
Ven then proceeds to cuddle the Chirithy and carry it towards the castle with Aqua and Terra apparently totally ok with that.

We probably won't know what happened to Sora until at least the Secret Ending, if that. I don't necessarily think it is the past he went to though.

The Fortellers now exist in the present and seem to be forming some kind of Dark Seven group for our next saga badguys. That means Sora will have to be in the present to fight them. (Personally I'd keep Sora gone forever and have other people save the day, but that's just me. I prefer RAX and TAV over SRK...)

The positioning of the chess piece makes me doubtful that it is MoM. There is no indicator of superiority like when the Xehanort piece was placed.

I'm pretty sure that Sora is going to defeat the Master of Masters in the past but he's obviously going to be brought back in the future. The Master knew he was going to disappear eventually, probably knowing that Sora is going to come and take him out. Everything's gone according to his plan so far. He planted the seeds for his eventual resurrection with the roles he gave to the Foretellers, Luxu in particular.
The last report from Luxu says "I will soon be reunited with my old companions, and in that moment my long vigil will reach its end. He will return..." It's all part of The Master's Plan.

I think one of two scenarios will happen with Braig:

Scenario 1. Luxu stays in his body.

Scenario 2. Luxu returns to his original body.
_____Scenario 2, A. Braig is turned into a Darkness.
_____Scenario 2, B. Braig is discarded. Could help the Lights.

And I don't think the Master of Masters is a Darkness. The remaining Darkness could either be new characters, or already existing ones.

And I think the premise of KINGDOM HEARTS IV will focus on the Foretellers causing mayhem in present time, and Sora in the past trying to find out that he's in the past, needs help to get back, and needs even more help to counter the forces of Darkness. KINGDOM HEARTS V could very will be the finale for this saga. As of now, I think the KHUx Saga is two games long, or three if you count KHUx in.

My theory as to why people from KHUX are still alive is that time in the Unchained Realm passes differently and some of the characters returned to the main reality only to discover centuries had passed.

I haven't seen that specific scene yet as I'm not that far in KH III, but in one of my previous posts here:

I do gave a possible explanation as to why that Riku is there in the first place as it seems KH III itself gives a build up for this.

So Nomura's explanation why Riku got a new haircut, was because he was swept into a shadow swarm. Wow!
Is the garment responsible for the hairdo? I miss his mullet a lot though.
