Well we have a surplus of potential wielders right now.
Sora, Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Mickey, Aqua, Ven, Terra. For kicks I'm gonna put Eraqus, Ephemer and Skuld to the side for "break in case of emergency"
Sora, Riku, Kairi, Aqua, Mickey, Lea seem to be our current lineup. Terra is out. Ven is now in the middle.
Roxas and Xion need to be saved first, but they seem like ideal replacements.
Huh, wait what? I was under the impression that Roxas and Xion would be saved after the big fight with Xehanort. Is Yen Sid planning on saving every Keyblade Wielder that was on their side, before the final battle?
Yeah, wich Keyblade would he wield? His own original. But he would be in Ventus his body, so maybe he would wield the broken X-Blade, maybe even the complete X-Blade (well, as complete as you can get it with only 2 hearts)
I'm not sure why you brought all of that stuff up. I didn't say that stuff was easy. It already happened in order to set up the actions that will take place in KH3.
You did say saving Ven would be too easy that way. I'm just pointing out what they all had to go through to even get to the point of saving the other Keyblade Wielders.
This is about how easy, simple it is to get Aqua and Ven back. Find Aqua in the RoD, have Aqua access Ven's chamber in CO, wake Ven with the power to awaken sleeping hearts. If we know it is going to happen, it is too simple and boring.
You're either underestimating the RoD, or I'm overestimating it. Come on dude, it's the RoD, the biggest and baddest Heartless live there. I'm don't think it's easy and simple to find Aqua in the RoD.
Aqua is currently sitting on the edge of the Realm of Darkness at the Dark Margin, which makes it easier to reach her. Her newfound hope in Sora paired with Yen Sid seeming to task Riku and Kairi to find her makes it seem like she'll be found pretty early on in KH3. Aqua will want to immediately awaken Ven once she sees Sora and realizes Ven's heart is in him.
Dark Margin? You mean the beach? But that's the place with the moon right? And that moon is supposed to be the "Light that shines in the deepest Darkness". So wouldn't that technically be the hardest place to reach her? Because she is in the deepest Darkness and all that.
I agree with that though, of course she wants to wake Ventus up as soon as possible.
Waking Ven is too obvious. Xemnas was after the Chamber of Waking and Ven inside of it far too much to have KH3 suddenly drop that. Xehanort wants/needs Ven for his plans. KH3D set up Vanitas' return.
But he uses time travel to bring Vanitas back right?
And yes it's a good plot point they shouldn't drop. But I think Aqua can fend of 1 Xehanort by now, maybe 3. She spent a decade in the RoD. I mean, have you seen her new magic, that Blizzaga was off the hook. Like hell Xehanort will beat that. And I highly doubt he will do a all out attack just to get into Ventus his Chamber.
Yes.
Natural part of the game.
Natural part of the game's story progressing.
Obviously it's a natural part of the game. But it will take some time to do all that.
Merlin and the Good Fairies have a time condensed room prepared, which was how Lea trained to access his Keyblade in the first place.
I know. But I do want to see a Keyblade Master actually teach Keyblade Bearers how to use a Keyblade. From scratch. I'm really interested in that. Sora and Riku were special cases. TAV, well we didn't see them train alot. Just a sparring match, hitting rings, hitting air, hitting some balls, and not hitting Heartless. It was kinda underwhelming...
Won't take up that much time.
... I think it's a pretty important plot point. He has been inside Terra for over a decade, Xehanort knows he is there. They both must have made a plan by now to to take each other out. Wich ironically makes me think of their chess game. It will have alot of impact.
Natural part of the game. Shouldn't take up that much time, either.
Well that actually depends on how much Ux will reveal about Xehanort his past, so for now I will leave that one be.
Natural parts of the game. Extra content that is intentionally meant to extended the playtime of the game.
Yes, but nevertheless, it will take time to make all that. Meaning less time for actual plot.
There needs to be something to put audiences on the edge of their seats. Right now all of the current conflict is centered to the end-game meeting of the Light and Darkness. Where is the early and mid game conflict? Where are the things that will make the heroes question their ability to actually save everybody and the worlds? Where are the personal stakes that push them all to the edge and renews their motivation?
These are all things that have to be created in KH3.
I think the early and mid game conflict would be with Maleficent in the RoS and Datascape. And saving the other Keyblade Wielders. Possibly have a conflict with Xehanort while trying to save Terra (would be fun if Yen Sid teleported Terra's LW and let it fight Xehanort).
Skuld, Ephemer, Young Eraqus, Roxas, Xion, etc.
Yeah... I'm not a fan of time travel. But yeah, RoS makes that a possibility. Wait where did Young Eraqus come from?
So, people actually expect that most Wielders will be saved before the big battle?
You underestimate Nomura's ability to cram a game with content lol
Apparently I do. Really dude, wouldn't that just make the game real messy and confusing? I know he had alot of time to make KH3, but still.
Aqua as the master of Castle Oblivion/Land of Departure knows how to reach the room since she made it herself.
I know, it was one of the cooler things she did.
Yen Sid said this because he believed it was the only way. He was unaware that Sora holds Ven's heart.
That's true.
All Ven needs is his heart back in his body and he will awaken. Terra will be the hardest to save due to the exact logistics of his heart being unknown.
His Heart is inside Terranort. What exactly is unknown?
He doesn't need the Princesses of Heart if he has the 7 Guardians of Light to clash against his 13 Darknesses. He'd certainly be prepared to take them if he needs them considering Xehanort is a man of contingency plans, but kidnapping them once again is something that can be done off screen lol.
Exactly, so why would he prevent them from gathering 7 Guardians? We currently have 5, with Aqua going to be the 6th. They need a 7th one though. So he will have to let them rescue 1 more Wielder. He can choose between, Ventus, Xion, Roxas, Skuld, Ephemer, Namine (? if Kairi can summon her Keyblade, would she be able to do the same thing? Roxas could.), Eraqus, Terra, Data-Sora (what the heck, you put Young Eraqus in there, why not Data-Sora too), Master Ira, Master Invi, Master Aced, Master Gula and Master Ava (if Ephemer and Skuld can be eligable as back up, why not these 5 too?). It would be in his best interest if they could only save 1. More then that would just be
unnecessary.
Not sure how it works, but Xion, Roxas, Namine and Data-Sora would all be saved through the Datascape right? So then Xehanort would automatically get 4 wielders, instead of 1.
Skuld, Ephemer and the 5 Foretellers would all be saved through the RoS. He would get 7 new Wielders then instead of 1.
He needs Terra for himself, so he is not eligible anymore.
So then all that's left is Ventus. If Aqua can awaken him, he only gets 1 Keyblade Wielder (they call TAV Masters, but was that just a translation error like they called Sora Keyblade Master, or did they officialy become Masters?) making it perfect for his plan. This is all speculation, but it doesn't give him much merit if he prevents Ventus from being awakend. Sure he can try to go for Vanitas, but he can use Time Travel for that.
Yes, because then it'd just become a natural part of the climax of the game. The point of this idea is that there is no challenge for the heroes to face if they are able to save everybody without Xehanort coming in to mess things up.
So yeah, he will probably just mess up the rest. Not Ventus though.
PS: So uhh... my Editorial got denied?
